It's been a week since Terry last walked out of his bedroom. He locked himself in his room like a turtle hiding in his shell.
Several times his parents knocked on his door and begged to be allowed into his room but he did not respond at all. The only interaction he had during the week was with a tray filled with food and drink left by his mother at his doorstep. However, he has no appetite at all.
It seemed like during this week, he had already lost a lot of weight in his body. Along with her loss of weight, her desire to live also slowly disappeared.
From under his blanket Terry stared at his desk. Her picture with her ex-boyfriend is still displayed in a pink frame with flowers at each end.
‘Why do I still save that photo?’ he murmured in the heart.
Suddenly, her tears flowed. He did not even try to bring it out but the waterfall was like rainwater.
Hixes. His issue.
He buried his face in a pillow to muffle his crying.
Exactly one week ago, an event that he could not possibly forget his entire life happened. It was such a shameful event that he wished he could disappear from the face of this earth.
‘I want to die.’
After she finished crying, she grabbed her phone from the table by her bed and opened the chat app to see if anyone had sent her a message during the week.
He saw seventy-nine illegible messages from his best friend, Ella. He did not open the message, he still could not face anyone. Even if it's his best friend.
Then Terry covered his entire body and tried to close his eyes. His head was so dizzy after crying.
CRUST!
Suddenly the door lock of his room opened violently and hasty footsteps appeared
from behind it.
“TERRY! YOU DARE IGNORE THE MESSAGE I SENT FOR ONE WEEK?” ask the familiar voice that came from behind the door.
Ella's Voice.
Terry had to admit, he really wanted to talk to his best friend, but he was scared. She was afraid that Ella would behave like everyone else when she learned of the scandal.
Terry pulled the blanket and threw it on the floor. From the look in his eyes, he looked both riled up and worried. The same look in his eyes as when he came home past curfew.
Seeing the gaze of his best friend, Terry could not help but cry.
Ella then sits on the bedside and embraces Terry into her arms.
“Crying. I'm here.” Ella said slowly. He then stroked Terry's head gently.
“A-I'm sorry. I'm ashamed, that's why I didn't answer your message.” On his sobs, Terry said.
“Yes, you should apologize to me. What are you thinking about ignoring me for a week and shutting yourself in a room like this? Don't tell me you think I'll stay away from you after what happened to you?”
Ella nodded small.
“You're crazy. We've known each other for eleven years, even that's more than half our age. How could I leave you alone?” Spray Ella. From the tone of his voice he looked very angry.
Then Terry released himself from Ella's arms and wiped the tears from her face. His face looked as messy as his heart.
“I don't want to go back to school.” Terry said with a frightened look.
Ella was silent for a moment before she finally spoke up. “I've got Gerhard expelled from school.”
Terry looked at Ella with a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“For one week you were absent from school, I have solved all the problems. Although I cannot make a photo without your clothes that have been circulating disappear completely, because the digital trace will never be lost except by time, but I have destroyed the root of the problem, which is Gerhard.”
Ella swallowed her saliva. Every time he remembered the photo without clothes circulating throughout the students at his school and their condescending gaze when he saw it, his body felt frozen. The nude photo she sent to her ex-lover on the basis of love. How much he regretted his actions.
“Has Gerhard really been out of school?” Terry's making.
Ella nodded. “You don't want to know how you can get him out of school?”
Terry nodded small. “How did you do it?”
Ella then gave a wide grin. He looks proud of himself. “I set him up.”
