Lying down helpless

I ran through the hospital hallways and looked for where the ICU room was. Aditya kept holding my hand and came running with me.

I wear long and oversize sleeves and also wear pink pants. Aditya wears a brown sweater and black jeans.

Along the way I couldn't hold back my tears and was so impatient to see Danu. Lucy has come with her Papa to visit Danu who just had surgery this morning. I didn't expect that after yesterday's incident it turned out that Danu had entered the hospital. The guilt is getting on me, I'm afraid if yesterday was my last meeting with Danu, I don't want that to happen.

I saw Lucy at the end of the hallway with some of her other people. And he stood up immediately when he saw me and Aditya approaching him.

“Dheb” greet Lucy with worry see me.

“How's Danu?” Ask me by holding back my tears.

“He just had surgery but he hasn't been conscious until now Dheb. His papa is trying to wake Danu inside” Lucy said.

“This who?” Asked a middle-aged man who approached me and Aditya in patient clothes,

“This is a close friend of Danu Om” said Lucy.

I nodded my head once to Papa Danu to greet him, and tried to smile at him.

“This is Dhebi Danu's friend at school, and this is Aditya her husband” Lucy said Lucy introduced me and Aditya.

“Dhebi?” Papa Danu asked, staring at me in disbelief.

“Danu school friends in Bandung?”

“Iya Om” answered me by nodding my head.

“Dhebi who saved Danu's life in the forest?” Her question made me shockingly stare at her in silence.

Lucy and Aditya throw one another a glance.

“Nak. Om did not have time to say thank you at that time, and Om only remembered your name from the beginning. Danu often says if you are her angel”

Papa Danu's words made me even more sad.

“Om I can find Danu?” Ask me by holding my sobs.

Papa Danu stroked my hair and looked so sad that he tried to smile.

“Sure nak” said Papa Danu and he spoke to the nurse who was there to let it be my turn to meet him after him.

I stared at Aditya for a moment to make sure that Aditya allowed me to meet Danu inside, and Aditya nodded his head with a smile.

The nurse led me into the ICU and she went back outside and shut the door. Everyone outside could look inside through the wide glass window. They can watch me and Danu from out there including Aditya.

I saw Danu who was lying helplessly on the bed. Oxygen hoses were attached to his mouth and nose. Infusion was attached to his hands, and his chest was seen in pairs of tools and covered by his clothes. A heart detector is seen next to her. Danu is weak and she is still unconscious, and the nurse says if Danu can't realize she has to go back to having surgery that could put her life at risk.

Seeing Danu like that was so heartbreaking to me. He lay with his eyes closed so tightly.

“Hay” greet me to Danu who is unconscious.

“That's your greeting every time I see Nu. Whenever you always come like a ghost, you always suddenly appear before me somewhere. I even thought if you put GPS on my back” I said with a laugh in my cry.

“I'm sorry because I've always been strict with you nu. I don't know if you're the one I saved a few years ago. I know all you want is around me, I don't know if you'll show up when we're grown up and when I already have another life partner. Forgive me for always rejecting your feelings, you always envy Andre who I always let have feelings for me until finally he became my friend. All this time you asked to be my friend, but because of my selfishness, I always rejected it for unclear reasons. If only from the beginning you told me about our past,I will definitely try to make friends with you as long as you don't try to interrupt my honeymoon” I said with a smile back though it was hard to stop my tears.

Danu still looked unreacted, she was still asleep in front of me helplessly. I approached Danu and leaned in to speak closer to her.

“And wake. Please, you need to wake up. You want me to repay your love, right? You've succeeded nu, you've managed to cultivate my feelings for you. Your patience and your struggle all this time made me think of you a lot,and when I know all that I realize that I already have feelings for you Danu” said me by bringing out everything in my heart.

Everything I said was real. I had already grown a sense to her, even Aditya could realize that, it was just that I was covering her up because I did not want to feel betraying Aditya, she said,even I lied to myself to keep hiding my feelings to Danu.

“Please Danu wake” said I in her ear.

“I love you” clean me by continuing to cry.

Then looks like Danu's eyes are trying to open his eyes.

“Danuu” call me by surprise with his eye movements.

“And you are aware?” Ask me to wait for Danu to open her eyes.

I looked out the window, and everyone out there looked so shocked and then a Doctor and nurse walked into the ICU.

Danu opened her eyes and immediately glanced towards me. I immediately brought my face closer with a smile so happy. Doctors and nurses are busy detecting Danu's heartbeat and Danu's condition.

“Hay” greet me by shedding my tears.

Danu continued to stare at me weakly and expressionlessly. Suddenly a hand touched my cheek. It was Danu's hand with the infusion on the back of her hand. It was so weak, but she tried to wipe away my tears. Even in this condition Danu did not want to see me cry.
