Obsessive Love Disorder

Obsessive Love Disorder
The beginning of the problem between Aditya and Andre

Me and Aditya were already standing on the balcony side by side looking at the open sea in front of us. Feeling the cold that night that penetrated our bodies.

“I am amazed by your courage” Aditya said with a glance at me. We're still in that tension mood at the dinner table.

I breathed out and kept looking straight ahead.

“I remember what you said in the basement. You feel that the Dhebi you know has been lost. And I also feel if indeed my identity has been lost, ever since when. And I'm trying to establish myself again, bring back the old Dhebi, who was brave, never afraid of any big problem she was in, she can definitely get through it,and finally I can be myself back” I said by encouraging myself.

Aditya smiled proudly at hearing her.

“I'm happy because my Dhebi has returned”

I looked at her cynically then shook my head with a smile.

“Excuse me young master. The big lady wants to meet you” said a waiter who suddenly came to us behind.

Of course, the big madam I mean here is Grandma Aditya.

“Good. I went there” then the waiter bowed and left.

“You wait here”

I just nodded my head and Aditya left.

Aditya went to his Grandma and I was left alone on this balcony feeling the cold of the night and saw the open sea that was so dark. From here, of course, I find it difficult to listen to the waves, because the distance is too far.

I hugged myself by crouching and then walked around the balcony to see the beauty of the beach on the other side.

Someone stood before me in his tidy suit and his hand was put in his pants pocket.

Andre's. My face changed instantly when I saw her. I'm still upset by what he and his Papa did at the dinner table.

I tried to get through it but he got in the way.

“What's up?” Ask me cynics.

He was silent and just looked at me coldly.

“You are beautiful in this dress” her flattering look at me sayu, but at all I do not feel flattered by her praise.

“Thanks. I also just found out it” my cynic and back trying to get through her.

He still got in my way. I looked at her in annoyance and turned my body trying to find another way behind me. Andre held my hand.

I stared at her hand that still dared to touch my hand. Then I looked at her cynically.

“Release!” Ask me firmly and emotionally.

“I want to talk” his words stare at me so deeply.

“What else do you want to talk about? Not enough you and your Papa to make me ashamed in front of Grandma and Aditya's parents?” I was annoyed by the unstoppable emotions.

“What is true about what you said? You only thought of me as a friend all this time?” Ask with a disappointed face.

I crossed my hands on my chest and stood firmly before her.

“What are you expecting?” Say it cynically.

“Today I did consider you just as a good friend”

His gaze seemed to disbelieve my statement.

“I have accompanied you all this time, I always give happiness to you, even when you are sad even I am always there for you. Have you never had the slightest feeling for me?”

He asked seriously. He looked disappointed and in disbelief.

I stared at him long enough. Given the togetherness of me and him all this time. What Andre said was true. As long as Aditya is not around, it is Andre who has been his replacement all along. My eyes started to get wet remembering all that.

“Ndre. I have believed you, I have also judged you different from other men, even I have thought to open my heart to you. But it was almost. I haven't opened my heart to you yet, I must know the harsh truth about you. You never really loved me, you were just obsessed with the feelings you had, and you were too obsessed with having me to get rid of the people who also had feelings for me. You actually know that the feelings I have are not for you, but you cover up the truth and force me to accept you”

Andre looked at my speech. And I don't accept all the truth I'm saying.

“Why should Aditya who always get happiness whereas I don't” his annoyance without staring at me.

“Andre. Happiness cannot be forced, it will come with its own as long as we open our eyes and hearts. Happiness is not only about possessions and love, but he can also come from family, friends and even things we like. I know you love your career so much as a writer, but you can't argue with your parents' desire to be an entrepreneur, but you ask yourself, are you going to be happy by doing what your parents want? Will you be able to leave all your career that you have achieved so far?”

Andre was silent not answering. He kept thinking about my words.

“You will never understand Dheb. All this time my family was so expecting me to be a big businessman. He never approved of me as a writer. And since childhood Grandpa and Grandma have only paid more attention to Aditya than me. I always feel less at Compare Aditya”

He looks upset considering that.

“You know ? all this time Aditya has regretted choosing his path as an entertainment artist. He was forced to choose the path of becoming an artist because he thought having that choice would make him free. She had been tired since childhood to be arranged by her family, she revolted and told her family that she could live happily with her choices. But you saw the truth, right ?There are so many problems that must be passed by Aditya, he never feels calm, surely you also know what problems have befallen Aditya so far, he does not want to be regulated by his family, he did not want to be arranged by his family, but after becoming an artist he was even more arranged by others who even he did not know”

“And if you think Aditya is getting more attention from Grandpa while you're not, you're wrong. I know since childhood you are fond of reading and writing Ndre so that you can stay at home without the need for strict guard, unlike Aditya”

I retold the story of Mama Aditya when I first and she had a conversation on this balcony last week when we first met at the house of Grandma and Mama Aditya recounted Aditya's childhood and Andre's. Since childhood Aditya is most noticed by Grandpa and Grandma because Aditya does not have any busyness at home so he often gets bored and keeps running away from home. While Andre from the age of 9 years he was happy to read books, he has a talent that is derived from his maternal grandfather, his mother, and it all makes Andre can keep quiet at home without the need for strict supervision like Aditya.

“Aditya has a special attention because since childhood he always revolted do not want to be arranged others. She feels her life is boring even until she is big, she always complains because a lot in her family set, so her Grandpa tries to pay special attention to Aditya, so that she understands, if his family is like that it is not intended to limit him but because his family wants the best for him. Until Aditya grows up, Kakek invites Aditya to see his business. And without Aditya realizing little by little he understood what Grandpa was telling him about the business. And now it is not without reason why his Grandfather gave the business to Aditya”

Andre looks so lamented my story. His eyes were bright but he tried not to drip.

I approached Andre with a look on my face that was sad to see him. I clasped Andre's hand gently even though Andre wouldn't look at me directly.

“You can choose your own life path Ndre. It's just that you have to be able to convince your parents if you become a writer can make you big. They just have to trust it”
