Rai Universe
CHAPTER 13. Aibs. Wounds For Precious People.

Rai was gathering his courage in one place. He wanted to make a confession and I don't know what would happen next.

After a moment of silence, Rai stared at Om Pras and his grandmother in turn. He took a breath and then threw it away slowly.

“What do you want to say?”  Tanya Om Pras who has indeed kissed the suspicious gelagat from Rai.

Rai was a little surprised, but then he could control his expression. He took a deep breath back.

“Om, Grandma, if, were, were,,, me,, ruining girls people, how?” Lirih Rai with a downcast face.

Om Pras. It was as if he knew what his nephew was talking about.

“Pronounce clear.” The Emphas Om Pras. He almost got emotional when he imagined what he was thinking.

“I hamili temenku, Om.”

Rai's confession is like a heart-slicing instrument to Salamah and Om Pras. The forty-year-old man even immediately stood up and stared angrily at Rai.

“I know, I know this is wrong, because that's why I dare to ask for the same opinion of Grandma. I'm a jerk. I'm scared, Om.” Pias Rai looked at Om Pras. His voice trembled withstanding fear.

Pras who had raised his hand was about to slap Rai, undoing his intentions when he saw the puddle of tears in his eyes. He felt what the teenage boy was feeling. Rai must be very scared.

Rai lowered his face again. He is ready if Om Pras will hit him or beat him all out, he is ready for it. However, Pras just sat back down with a slight slam of his body then closed his eyes tightly.

Rai swallowed his saliva imagining the pain from Pras' hand punch. He closed his eyes tightly.

“What is she beautiful?” Salamah's question made Rai and Pras immediately turn to her.

Grandma smiled and stroked Rai's head gently. “As long as you realize it's wrong, that's enough. All you have to do in the future, do not repeat the mistake, and take responsibility for him.” Salamah seemed to be trying not to cry even though the frustration and sadness clearly appeared on her face.

“But I don't know what to do, Grandma? Yesterday he said he wouldn't hold me accountable. What I wonder, why he can be that relaxed talking as if there is no burden at all.”

“Yeah, he must be a good boy. Even though getting pregnant at such a young age is not easy, let alone getting pregnant outside marriage and still in school anyway. He is willing to carry three burdens at once for the sake of not ngrepotin you. So, what's your decision?”

“It's the only way, you have to marry her. How many months?” Timpal.

Rai was very surprised to hear it even though he had time to think in that direction. The only thing he considered was, they were still in school. What about their school? Rai was completely confused and chaotic.

“But we're still in school, Om. I don't know how many months it's been, it happened about a month ago, and yesterday he just told me.”

“Your school is only about two months away, right? And Om reckon, the pregnancy has not been seen until the time of graduation. Let's just say you're lucky with that.”

“So how? Which one do you think is better? You want to marry her, or just let her be the one she said?” Ask grandma.

Rai remained silent. He thinks hard. Married, he knew it wasn't easy to do. Getting married is not just an ijab kabul, then done. But getting married is all about the demands of responsibility. By marrying Esta, it means she is in charge of the girl's entire life. He must take responsibility for Esta's life insurance. And he felt unable to do all that while his life was still falling apart.

And if she did as Esta asked, if she didn't have to take responsibility for her pregnancy, she felt that it would torture her. The torment of regret that will make him fall for the rest of his life. He does not want to be haunted by guilt throughout his life for making wrong decisions.

“I want to marry him, Grandma. I want to take responsibility for all my mistakes. I don't want to let you down if I act cowardly and run away from responsibilities.” Rai said in the end after a long silence and thought.

Let alone, he would see what he could do in the future by marrying Esta.

Grandma was so relieved to hear it. He stroked his grandson's head gently with a smile.

“You're wiser than grandma thinks.” Lirih grandma.

“But if he doesn't want to, Nek?” Rai's worried.

“Tomorrow the day after, bring him here. Let grandma say.”

Rai nodded.

“Rai, do you know that this is not an easy matter? There are laws that you must follow. This is disgrace, which we must cover up. Because if this is widespread, the consequences are not only for you, but our entire extended family. Do you understand?”

Rai nodded back. “Iya, Om. I understand.”

“Om does not understand about this issue. But later try Om asking for the same opinion of Gus Kholiq how. I don't want to be wrong in the process. The problem is this is not an ordinary marriage, the danger if something goes wrong because we are lay people with limited religious knowledge.”

“Grandma also thought so, earlier.”

“But, how about papa, Nek?”

“With the nature of your papa, he will surely beat you all out. If according to Om, we better be secret first from him. Later even more runyam problem. You are a man, you do not need a guardian for marriage. Enough of me, walimu. Later if it's time, then we tell him.” Saran Pras's. Although he was angry with the stupidity that Rai had done, but he still would not have the heart to see his only nephew was beaten by his own father.

Rai and grandma agree with Pras idea. Given the angry and violent nature possessed by Fandi, this will actually be more complicated.

“This must be done as soon as possible. Now let's go to Gus Kholiq's cottage and ask for advice on how good.” Take Pras to Rai.

Rai nodded in understanding then followed his Om standing up and exited the house towards the car garage. Honestly, Rai's heart is currently beating fast. That's because all the regrets and worries are piling up into one there.

He has incised disgrace on the faces of the whole family who consider him precious. He has cut a wound in the hearts of those who love him. Somehow, he will bear all the regrets later.

Regretting that he acted foolishly and couldn't help himself, and worry about what he could do in the future by marrying Esta. He was horrified to imagine that he would soon become a husband. Not to mention they had to endure shame due to disgrace.

What is stifling is that he married a girl he did not know at all how her nature, how her stature, and how fikriannya. He married her for no more responsibility. Moreover, the matter of love, it was very far from its present state.

The feeling of love is not necessary in this marriage. This marriage is a marriage that must take place because it is bound by the law of God. A marriage to save the dignity of the child who does not know anything, the child of their adultery.

The more the car drove closer to the road to the boarding school Darussa’adah, Rai's heart beat faster. His sense of confidence has shrunk and made him worry.

“Om, is it okay if he knows about this issue?”Tanya Rai was worried.

“You are calm. People like Gus Kholiq know what to keep for themselves. He could not possibly expose the disgrace of others. Because what? Because his knowledge is much higher than ours. His heart is full of wisdom. That's why we can ask him any advice. So don't be shy let alone worry, yes.” Pras tried to raise his nephew, because he could feel the uneasiness from the look on Rai's face.
