CHAPTERS 14. He Who Beareth All Your Deeds.

The car driven by Pras has entered the Pondok Pesantren Integrated Darussa’adah area in Duren Sawit. He immediately parked his car in the available parking area. One of the male santri immediately ran over to them.

“Pa!” Call Afdal, Pras' eldest son.

“Oh, how are you here?” Ask Pras.

“iya, again gotong royong clean-clean.” Obviously Afdal. “Papa Bang Rai kok here? Tumben.”

“iya, there needs to be a little bit with Gus Kiayi. He's at his house, right?” Ask Pras.

“Iya, no. Try to get there. Yaudah then, I go back there again, yes.” Pamit Afdal then kissed his papa and Rai's hands.

Pras looked at his son's back with a proud look. He smiled softly then invited Rai to go to Gus Kholiq's house.

Arriving in front of the house, it turns out Gus Kholiq was sitting reading a book on his porch. The man who was around 40 years old stood up and welcomed Pras and Rai.

“Assalamu’alaikum, Gus.” Sapa Pras's.

“Wa’alaikum greetings, Mas Pras apparently. Here, come, let's go in.” Gus Kholiq.

Pras and Rai welcomed the hospitality by greeting Gus Kholiq. Then they went into the house and sat in the living room.

“How are you doing Mas Pras? I guess it hasn't been here in a long time.”

“Alhamdulillah well, Gus. Just yesterday the day after I came from here, did not meet Gus, he said Gus was going to Depok.”

“Oh, yes, yes, right. Yesterday the day after tomorrow I had an event in Depok. This,,, his son Mas Fandi, isn't it?” Ask Gus Kholiq again to Rai.

“Yes, Gus.” Rai replied with a very polite tone. He felt like he was shrinking in front of the man who exuded the authority.

“Walah, it's so big you are. What class is it?”

“Class 3 SMA, Gus.”

“It's over soon. Cute kayak papamu.” Gus Kholiq with a smile.

During the break, Gus Kholiq asked one of his daughters to make drinks for his guests. Not long after, three glasses of warm tea was presented on the table.

“So, what to say, Mas Pras?” Guess Gus Kholid.

Pras, who is not far below Gus Kholiq, just smiled at the question. He breathed and then slowly breathed. While Rai is on the brim@s his own fingers. He was afraid, ashamed. His heart is deflating.

“Begini, Gus. We would like to ask for opinions and suggestions from Gus Kholiq.” Pras stopped talking, hesitating to make his point. He turned to Rai who was bowed beside him.

“Do not hesitate, Mas. Insha Allah, if I can I will help you as best I can.”

“So gini, um,, this nephew of mine, has committed a very big sin, Gus. She's already impregnated her female friend.” Lirih Pras's.

“I want to ask, is it legal if Rai marries the child? Or what better Rai do?”

“I am so sorry for the disaster that has befallen you, Nak Rai. It's really an incredible trial. But God never makes it difficult for his servant even though we have confessed such a great sin. So, do you intend to get her married?” Ask Gus Kholiq to Rai.

Rai nodded. “Iya, Gus. I want to account for my actions.” Rai lirih replied. Little by little, his shame began to disappear because Gus Kholiq responded casually.

“alhamdulillah, then.”

“But, can I marry a pregnant woman, Gus?” Pras asked.

“In Islam, marrying a pregnant woman is legal or legal, both religiously and nationally. But, there is this tapi lo,, there is a nasab business that must be considered really. Here are 4 things that should be a concern. First, if the child is born, he cannot use his father's son even though you are married, he must still use his mother's son. Second, if the child born is a boy, then he cannot be the guardian of his sisters later. The third, if the daughter, if she grows up and wants to marry later, then who could be the guardian of marriage is the judge who married her mother. And the fourth, the child can not get the inheritance from his father.” Gus Kholiq is at length.

Rai sighed deeply. It is as complicated as the law in Islam. Regrets were piling up on his chest.  Imagining the difficulties of life that will be borne by the child later, making Rai sighs regretfully.

“This problem is always trivial, but make no mistake, this is the most important problem, not just marriage and then finish the problem. Therefore Allah is very respectful of adultery, He hates it because yes, dear to his son. Not to mention the social sanctions later which will certainly not be easy for the child. If we think far ahead, pity his son, anyway? Our only name is human, sometimes losing the same lust and so kebablasan. The wrong place is human. Any human can be wrong. The important thing is not to repeat again and continue to improve yourself so that you are far from the bad thing.”

“Yes, Gus,,”

“So if you are ready to marry him, prepare your mentality. Getting married is not just a legal matter. But there is a responsibility that follows behind it. You are male, your status will change to the head of the family when the kabul ijab is completed. And the responsibility of the head of the family is not at all easy. There's your wife and son's life in your palm. Marriage is seeking blessings, misbehaving a little, can invite the wrath of God. You must be a good priest and leader for your family.”

Rai lowered his head deeply. He cried inwardly regretting everything he had ever done. That foolish act had already closed the door to his future. His mind immediately imagined that if the child was born and he could not use his nasab, how embarrassing it would be for the child.

“Sorry, that's for sure. But nothing can be done because it all happened. You really want to be responsible. Insha Allah, all will be well, Son Rai.” Gus Kholiq comforted Rai's heartache. “The devil has many ways to plunge humans. But we, it only takes one way to fend it off, that is, take refuge in Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. In what way? By obeying his commandments. Allah has explained clearly in the Qur’an and Hadith. There are many ways out of all the problems faced by humans. So don't worry.”

“Thanks, Gus.” Lirih Rai's.

“And if we may ask, so that later Gus will be pleased to accompany them when married.” Pinta Pras's.

“Isha Allah, I wait for the good news.”

“Let me tell you again, Gus. Thanks for the advice. Sorry to bother Gus Kholiq.” Imbuh Pras's.

“nothing. Thank God that my knowledge is still useful for others, I am very happy to be able to help.”

“Thank you very much, Gus.” Rai said.

“Then we'll excuse you, Gus. Once again thanks.” Pamit Pras's.

“Lho why rush?”

“Nothing, Gus. Mom is home alone. Assalamu’alaikum.”.

“Wa’alaikumsalam.”

Rai again kissed the back of Gus Kholiq's hand while asking permission to leave. And then he and Pras got out of Gus Kholiq's house and walked towards their car. There was a slight feeling of relief felt by Rai. But still, the guilt was still lingering in his heart. Guilt for the child who will be born into the world because it has given him discomfort in his life later.
