Mr. Burhan searches for the keys of his house among the heaps of keys tied to a circle of iron. He began to curse at his eyes that could no longer see clearly without the help of glasses. Then, he cursed his glasses left in the office.

Today, he returned to his simple home. As usual, every Saturday, he always stayed and stayed in that house. He will forget for a moment his magnificent house in a different city.

Not without reason, some important history in this house, whether a coincidence or the will of God, always occurs on Saturday. Starting from the first day he and his late wife occupied this place, the birthday of Lasmi, the day of the death of the wife due to the cruelty of cancer, the day of graduation Lasmi entered the university with the best law faculty in the country, and of course the day of his beloved daughter's death.

Jesse Arnold was waiting inside the house, being the only thing not from his past, that he allowed to be in this house.

“Tiring day,” said Mr. Burhan a.k.a Mr. Jireh as he put his body on his favorite rocking chair. Then, he smiled as he looked at his picture with his late daughter. “But I'm happy.”

“There's good news, Mister?” jesse Arnold responded to his master's words.

“Nothing. Just a normal day where I can get closer to Indira. The longer, I see it more and more similar to Lasmi.”

Jesse Arnold was silent. He began to get used to the attitude of his master who seemed to lose his authority whenever discussing about the woman's lawyer. But, he was waiting for another news from the master.

“Did the one who came to the Master in the park earlier was Abhimanyu Alexander?” jesse Arnold asked, which made Mr. Jireh stunned. “I get a report from our member who is watching over Mr from a distance. And incidentally, I just got information from the prison if the man managed to escape again.”

Master Jireh's face changed drastically, as his mood changed from cheerful to gloomy. That name was the name he least wanted to hear right now. Even the sound of teeth snapping began to sound from his mouth.

“That bastard! I don't think he's gonna act again until I forget him. But, this morning, casually he appeared before my nose and threatened me. I want to kill him with my own hands.”

Jesse smiled at his thin smile. Finally, he saw the real, cruel and angry figure of his master, whom he admired and respected far more than the jolly figure who always told of a woman similar to his late daughter.

“Do we need to kill him? He was outside the box. It would be easier for us to do that. The situation is better now than it was two months ago. No one cares about Abhimanyu Alexander's whereabouts, including his former lawyer.”

Mr. Jireh nodded as if considering the suggestion of his assistant was good enough. “You know where he is?”

“Our members are still following him. A few minutes ago, he was on a bus out of town,” reports Jesse Arnold.

Mr. Jireh fell silent while thinking, then he said, “Alright. I'm tired of him too. Do not let him do silly actions again and endanger us. Even if he is a loser though, if he does something repeatedly, there must be at least once he succeeds.”

“Good, Sir. I'll get it done soon.”

Jesse Arnold looked down for a moment and left.

Abi only watched Jack Off the Record who was busy arranging the position of his camera. Sometimes his eyes wandered around the room. He still remembers how they entered the room, which is through a closet that can be shifted. Like the secret room he often sees on television.

“You're sure no one followed you when you got here?” ask Jack.

“Of course. At this time Mr. Jireh's men are following Rinjani who looks like me out of town,” Abi replied with a smile imagining how the face of Mr. Jireh when he knew his men back he was lying.

“Good. Because I don't want them to come here and finally find us in this room.”

“Usually, what are you using this room for?”

“Not important. Just a hiding place when I was chased by people who did not like the news I made,” replied Jack casually.

Abi understands. He knows the track record of Jack Off the Record which is indeed known as the most annoying journalist in the history of journalism. It is natural that he is often hunted by many people because of his news.

“What does it mean, like?” Abi pretended not to understand.

“A jerk journalist who makes news for money,” Jack said. His face looked sad and filled with regret. “All because of that damn Mr. Jireh.”

Hearing that name, for some reason Abi's heart skipped a beat. Mr Jireh? He was curious about the past of both of them.

“How do you guys know each other?”

“Very complicated,” replied Jack. He finished setting up his camera. Then, he sat down in front of Abi and was excited to tell her more. “A few weeks after her mother died, Indira was diagnosed with liver damage due to biliary atresia. The only way to cure it is with a liver transplant. Her mother had just died, her brother was too young to be a donor, while I couldn't because our blood types were different. Whether it was fate that brought us together, the only princess Burhanuddin Wiratama or Mr. Jireh, had just had an accident that took his life. Coincidentally, his blood type matches Indira and he has also registered as an organ donor while still alive.”

“So you asked him to donate his daughter's heart to Indira?”

“Yes, that's it. Because of that, I owe him a big debt of gratitude and he made good use of it. He had me manipulate the news to protect his client and everyone thought I was doing it for money.”

“Has it been that bad for a long time? Selling his son's heart for personal gain.”

Jack stood up to grab his coffee while shaking his head. “No, he used to be a good judge. It was the death of his daughter that changed him.”

Abi raised his eyebrows. “What happened to the death of his daughter?”

“I once investigated a case he handled before his daughter's death. It was a case involving the son of an official as the culprit. You know for yourself how dilapidated the law in the order of government at that time. However, he bravely handed down severe punishment to the official's son.”

“Means, the death of his daughter was the act of that official?”

“It is difficult to say no, although the police at the time mentioned not finding any irregularities and stated it was purely an accident.”

According to Jack, although originally a good person, Mr. Burhan has a talent for being a criminal. Unlike in films where the main character takes revenge on the killer of his loved ones, he actually chooses to master it. He relied on only one weapon, namely his knowledge in the field of law.

“Very similar to you. Maybe that's what makes you have a strong bond,” said Jack.

After the death of his daughter, Burhanuddin Wiratama finds out about the lives of the officials and how all this time they could play with the law to cover up all their crimes. The investigation led him to an organization called Raja Pati.

Not many people know the name of the organization, even today. Only certain people know about it. Many important people in this country who feel his help without ever having a direct relationship. There are always intermediaries that are trusted by the organization. Mischa is one of them.

With the status as a judge known for his positive reputation plus the intelligence and talent of evil that Jack said earlier, it is not difficult for Mr. Burhan to enter the organization. In fact, it only took him a few years, he managed to sit at the top of that organization and earned the nickname of Lord Jireh.

In his hands, the organization developed very rapidly even though the times have changed and the dictatorial government has fallen, changing the government that is predicted to be much more democratic than before.

“I'm amazed at you for being able to fight him to this extent,” praise Jack at the end of the story. “For decades I have seen the cruelty he has committed. As if there was no way an ordinary young man who did not even have a high school diploma could fight him.”

“I'm also amazed at you because, despite having seen his cruelty, you are still willing to help me to fight him.”

“No, I don't deserve to be praised for that. I did all this for Indira,”, said Jack who made Abi surprised.

“Indira?”

“Yes, since the first time he met her on campus, Mr. Jireh has always considered Indira as Lasmi Kenanga, his late daughter. I saw the love he wanted to show Indira had started to turn into an obsession. I'm afraid, one day it will harm Indira.”
