Ever since Abi revealed the existence of the offence committed by investigators during the investigation, he has become an impromptu celebrity. Many people consider him a hero because of his courage in uncovering the rottenness of some law enforcement officers.

The incident also attracted the attention of the advocate profession, especially because of Abi's last words recorded by the media. Many lawyers volunteered to become legal counsel for Abi. In fact, not a few offer help without rewards.

Indeed, according to the code of ethics, advocates in doing their duties do not aim solely to obtain material rewards but rather prioritize the establishment of Law, Truth and Justice. But the motivation of some of them is not that. There is another more valuable thing that they will get if they succeed in defending Abi, namely popularity. In practice, many lawyers use self-image to attract clients, especially from the upper classes, and a track record in handling large cases is one of them.

“Abimanyu Alexander! There are guests for you.”

A rutan attendant called out the name of Abi who sat pensively holding back the drowsiness. As a new occupant, he has to pass ‘plonco’ time there. On his first night in the rutan, he had to sleep by the toilet door.

“Good morning, Mr. Abi. I'm Joseph Andi Pradinata from the law firm of Joseph Catherine & Partners. My goal here is -”

“According to you, am I guilty?”

Abi cut out the lawyer's introduction with a simple question. Although at the beginning a little confused, the advocate named Joseph smiled as if he already had an answer that he thought was quite good.

“The basis of the relationship between a lawyer and his client is trust. Wrong and right, it is in the next stage. From the trust you have placed in me through your confession, I can determine whether you are guilty or not. But as a lawyer, I promise I will be your defender in every -”

“So, am I guilty or not?”

Back Abi cut out lawyer Joseph's remarks. Not yet had the dapper man give the desired answer, Abi had stood up and told the warden that the time of the visit was over. He already knew that the dapper man was not the lawyer he was looking for.

“Don't the ones visiting you all day long are lawyers?” ask a bald-headed rutan resident named Amran.

Abi again did not immediately answer, but rather laughed his gaze first, making it look even cooler in the eyes of the other rutan residents.

“I have not found a lawyer who will really defend me seriously,” Abi said. “Even some of them are posts from the police.”

Everyone who heard Abi's words were shocked and wondered where Abi could find out from. To this question, Abi did not answer him at all and simply smiled. He didn't see they would understand even if he explained it in detail.

“My feeling is that soon something will happen that makes my case even more complicated. But I don't know how bad it is. It's just that a lawyer who doesn't really defend me will trouble me and will one day attack me. I don't need that kind of drama. I really have to defeat the bastards who set me up.”

All the rutan residents who heard were more amazed by Abi's words which made him look more charismatic. One by one they gave support to Abi.

Suddenly a mutant from another room called them and showed them a television broadcast. A news story about a great fire that occurred in one of the mansions. Seen the recorded situation, showing the inside of the house that has become the debris of the rest of the fire.

Like lightning striking in broad daylight, the news seemed to scorch Abi's mind in an instant. Despite having a premonition that something bad was going to happen, he did not expect it to be this bad.

Meanwhile, public admiration for Abi began to fade after the furore of news about the death of Mischa Radjasa. Many even speculate about the possibility of Abi killing Mischa and burying her in the house.

The interest of lawyers to defend Abi also declined drastically. They realize that Abi is not just involved with ordinary drug cases and violence committed by the police. There is a great and terrible force behind this case.
