“Ah, it's hard!”

Indira complains while chewing chocolate bars. He did not pay attention to Rama who was also complaining because of the difficulty of fiddling with the engine of their car that broke down.

“Indeed bang Abi got that report from where? Does he know that his victims don't want his case to go to jail?”

“Entah. Because you said he had a cell phone in there, the chances of him getting it were overwhelming. And she also knew that the victim was still covering up the crimes committed by her husband. Hence, from the beginning he said one of the hardest parts was persuading the victim to report to the police.”

“Isn't that a criminal case? Means it doesn't have to be the victim reporting, right? As far as Rama is concerned, good citizens are obliged to report any crime. We're the only ones making reports. Or we find a family or a neighbor who's seen the woman beaten her husband.”

“According to the KDRT law, who can report directly the alleged KDRT is only a victim. Even family or neighbors can not report it, unless authorized by the victim.”

Rama scratched his head because he did not understand. He chose not to think about the problem first and concentrated on his lover's car.

“Why with the car? What is the impact of the collision first?” indira asked who realized that Rama was struggling to fix their mount.

“Entah. Looks like something's missing. But I don't know what it is,” replied Rama. “May be lost during accident, maybe when serviced or maybe on the road earlier.”

Then Rama chatted about a machine that was not understood by Indira at all. The petite lawyer just nodded and chose to think about his prospective client earlier.

She was a woman in her mid-thirties. His thin body and began to wrinkle had made Indira think that he was older than his actual age. His eyes were soft, his shoulders were bent and his breathing was stingy, showing the immense fatigue he was enduring. Despite refusing her help earlier, Indira could see screams for help from her hollow eyes.

Unwittingly, tears flowed down Indira's cheeks. There are memories from the past that made his heart goosebumps.

It has been three days in a row Indira came to the woman named Alya and the results are still nil. He felt sorry for Rama who struggled to bring him with a body condition that has not recovered properly and a car that often snags. Moreover, they had to travel for 3 hours to get to the woman's house.

Therefore, on the fourth day, Indira came alone. He confides in Abi and Rama to go to a family event. That's so they don't get overwhelmed.

Indira got off at one of the stops. He looked at Alya's house. It only takes about five minutes to get there on foot. But, Indira chose the opposite path.

His steps came to a halt right in front of an elementary school. Indira peered inside through the red fence which was about 5 cm taller than her body..

Before long, he was startled by the sound of a bell followed by cheers from within the school environment. It turned out to be the bell home because moments later, the children from the class came out to fill the yard waiting for the officers to open the fence for the children who had been picked up.

Indira leaned against an electric pole while looking at the children one by one coming out of the gate. Some were immediately welcomed by their parents, some were walking alone.

A few minutes passed, he finally saw a boy who was looking around with a restless face. It looks like he's waiting for an invitation.

Having waited too long, he finally decided to walk. Indira followed behind and approached slowly.

“Ando, yes?” indira asked suddenly, which made the boy turn his head towards her.

“Not. Aunt wrong person. Fernando Putranto who wants Aunt to kidnap is still in school,” he replied in a crisp and adorable voice.

Indira laughed at the answer. Very funny because it is considered a kidnapper, but more funny because of the clever way the boy to want to trick ‘ kidnapper’.

“Tante is your friend. Two days ago, you must have seen Aunt talking to mom.”

The little boy again glanced at Indira to ascertain the truth told by Indira. He finally remembered what happened two days ago.

“But at that time mommy was angry.”

The words Indira spoke with great risk. He had to lie so that the boy named Ando would believe him. The boy looks gamang because half his heart is not sure of Indira's words, but the other half is very eager to believe.

“Ah, there is no way Aunt can,” her chatter while continuing her journey.

“Tante will treat you to chocolate ice cream in that store.”

Indira's words held back her steps. The boy looked at Indira sharply as if he wanted to learn the look on his face. Then he said in his cry, “That strawberry taste, but he was given a chocolate topping, yes.”

Indira smiled as she looked at Ando who was busy eating his ice cream, as if forgetting the surroundings. He let the child's mood calm down, only to start asking about what happened to his parents.

“Indeed, what is Aunt's job so as to save mother? Mother said, the police alone can not help.”

“Tante is a lawyer.”

“Lho, isn't the lawyer evil?”

Indira was not angry, even laughed again at the innocent answer from the boy. He rubbed Ando's head with anxiety.

“The lawyer is not evil. It's his job to defend people, whoever it is. No matter if it is good or bad. That's what makes lawyers sometimes said to be evil.”

“Means like God, who loves everyone. Good boy or bad boy, all dear God.”

“Eh, roughly like that,” Indira's response was a bit confused because it was equated with God.

“But I hate God,” said Ando who made Indira stunned.

“Why?”

“Because he also loves dad.”

Recently Indira was confused when responding to the speech of a child aged around eight years. He felt quite a deep hatred from the boy's eyes.

“So, Ando -”

“But Ando still loves God. Like Ando still love mother even though mother still loves father.”

The boy continued his ice cream, while Indira looked at him with a feeling of embarrassment. It was as if he saw a great affliction that was endurable from that plain eye.

“Indeed, what have you done to Ando and mom?”

Yes, Indira felt this was the right time to ask about her parents. Ando did not answer. His face was suddenly gloomy and downcast. The ice cream, which was only a few spoons away, was now ignored.

“Dad already -”

“ANDO!”

They were both startled by the voice of a woman who had just walked into the ice cream shop. Indira checks the source of the sound. It turned out that Alya was looking at them with anger.
