Indira walked down the sidewalk with a face full of grief. His steps were like being dragged around like there was no more energy he had. He still did not realize that his journey was not a definite purpose.

His mind also wandered without a clear purpose. He was lamenting the destruction of the ideals which he had been struggling to build. For a long time, all he wanted was a lawyer. No matter how much of a challenge he had to face to become a lawyer, he would go through. Now, when he has been fired from an advocate by IKAKUM, he really does not know the direction of his life anymore.

Had crossed the offer given by Jesse Arnold earlier about working in the company owned by Mr. Jireh and it was very tempting for him.

“Tuan Jireh has a company engaged in making car spare parts and the company is in need of an HRD. In the middle of ‘ aimless adventure’nya, by chance Indira met with Rinjani. The woman was casually eating the cendol sold on the side of the road. But, Rinjani came to her senses and shouted her name loudly, so the people around looked towards her.

“Hai,” greet Indira when coming to Rinjani. His face was embarrassed and annoyed.

“Trust me, the cendol here is very tasty. You won't regret trying it now. Moreover, today's weather is hot once.” Rinjani stops talking for a moment and examines Indira's facial water. “And good also for hot mood.”

“What's the hot mood?” Indira tries to deny Rinjani's insinuations.

“Come on, this whole country already knows what happened. You were fired from Abi's lawyer for hitting a lawyer.”

“Ya, all countries already know it,” grumbled Indira. “Not just Abi's lawyer, I was fired as a lawyer. And not just for hitting another lawyer, but for some other offense I've committed.”

Rinjani smiles, then embraces Indira's neck so that the petite woman is surprised. “Don't be sad, don't be gloomy, my friend. What you did was really cool. In fact, now you're officially my best friend because you've done what I've wanted to do for a long time and can't do.”

“You can't just decide the person you want to make your best friend. I never said I want,” Indira said while removing Rinjani's embrace. “Indeed, you really want to beat up a lawyer? How much do you hate lawyers? Oh, is that why you were never friendly to me and now you are acting the opposite way around? Because I beat up a lawyer and no longer a lawyer?”

Rinjani was surprised by Indira's chatter. Not that he could not fight, but he could not bear to see Indira's face was already shed tears. It must be that the condition that the woman is experiencing is now very heavy and he is joking.

“Alright, alright. I hate lawyers, but I didn't like you because you're a lawyer. There is another reason,” Rinjani said. He handed the cendol that was ready to be eaten to Indira. Apparently, he immediately ordered it when he just saw Indira. “Titus Yana, that swath-moustacheed man you're boxing is the lawyer I hate.”

Indira was shocked when Rinjani mentioned that name. It was as if he was familiar with that name.

“Indeed, what is your relationship with him?”

“He was the lawyer of the young man who raped my sister. My late sister,” replied Rinjani which made Indira very surprised. Instantly there was a sense of compassion in Indira's heart for the woman. “I can never forget his evil face when accusing my sister of flirting with her clients. Though all the evidence has led to rape.”

“What did that bastard do?”

“As you can guess. He falsified all the evidence and doubted the original evidence with various arguments that sounded reasonable. Of course, the prosecutor and the judge must have been on his side. The perpetrator of the rape was the son of a rich man who had many relationships in various large government agencies.”

“You don't have a lawyer defending?” ask Indira curiously.

“Have. But, it turns out that he was also paid by the lawyer moustached the plot,” Rinjani replied in an annoyed tone. “Actually, at the beginning we had a reliable legal advisor. Wish he could accompany until the end.”

“Indeed, what's wrong with him? Did he leave? Or is he dead?”

Indira was again surprised when Rinjani mentioned that name. The name had not been heard for a long time. Eventually, he began to know the situation.

Rinjani's tone sounded bitter. Like a bitter feeling that touched Indira's heart. Despite not watching it directly, Indira seemed to understand what had happened at that time.

“Yes, I understand how hurt the Night Advocate was because of that incident. Naturally if he stops,” said Indira sympathized.

“But, unknown to many is the Night Advocate still continues to fight for justice for the little ones. Indeed, not as frontal as he became the Night Advocate. Although he did not have a degree, diploma, license or anything, he still believed the law was the strongest weapon for the oppressed. He never gave up on the Kerinci case, my late sister. Until now he has collected various pieces of evidence that he will one day use to punish the criminal. And although he is currently undergoing trial and must be languishing in the rutan, he is still struggling. His resistance to Mr. Jireh was one of the proofs in fact.”

Suddenly Indira felt embarrassed for hating Abi when the man said strange things that made him fail to be released. He was also embarrassed to feel that his life had been ruined just because his lawyer's license was revoked. Abi has nothing to support him in fighting in the field of law except his science. But, he never stopped fighting and put high confidence in the law itself.

At that moment, his life, which he thought had been destroyed, shone again. There was a glimmer of hope that motivated him to bounce back.
