“HOOOOOOAAAAAAMMMMMMM!!”

Indira's mouth was open quite wide like he did not know it was the attention of many people. Not just the one in the courtroom, the behavior was recorded and broadcast by one of the national TV so that it has spread throughout the country. Even the presiding judge who was reading out the agenda of the trial could not bear to glance at it.

“How many hours of inspection?” ask Abi.

The examination in question is the re-examination of Aunt Jenny, Abi's mother, for the arson case that he did on the house owned by the Totok family.

“Now, that must have been a long time ago. Very!” lamented Indira. His eyes occasionally closed, though soon opened again.

“Sorry to trouble you.”

“It's okay. Rama promises a fair pay.” Indira smiles. Abi knew that it was just an excuse so he wouldn't feel awkward.

“On Brother legal counsel, have you prepared witnesses and evidence Brother?”

“Already, Your Excellency.”

“How many witnesses will you present today?”

“We will present two witnesses, Your Highness.”

“What is the capacity of the witnesses in this case?”

“The first witness is the passenger of the accused who was ushered before the accused received an order from Mischa Radjasa and the second witness is one of the firemen, Your Honor.”

The public prosecutor named Jerold was watching closely. He was quite surprised when the legal counsel filed the witness changes filed before the trial.

“Good, please present the first witness to the courtroom.”

“To the officers, please present a witness named Sandi Pratama to the courtroom.”

The door of the room opens. An officer walked in followed by a middle-aged man. The man's face looked friendly and always threw a smile at anyone he saw. Not only the face, his voice also sounded very friendly. Because of his hospitality, Abi is difficult to forget, even though he first met.

The man named Sandi's calling was taken his oath.

“Good, Brother Password. Do you know the accused?” ask the chief judge.

The man lifted up his glasses and focused his eyes on Abi, then said, “I don't know him, but I remember that he drove me a few days ago.”

The presiding judge threw various questions answered by the witness well, according to what Indira expected.

“Good, please Brother legal counsel ask a question to Brother witness.”

“Do you remember exactly when the accused brother drove Mr?”

“Still, certainly still. In my office there is an alarm that goes off every 8 o'clock, lunch hour at 11:30, lunch hour at 1 pm and home at 4 pm. When I got to the office, the lunch hour alarm was over. It means it was 1pm.”

“Is there anything that can prove the incident?” ask Indira.

“Unfortunately there is no. Back then the police officer checked the CCTV footage near the office entrance, but the defendant's face was not visible.”

“Yes, I have also read it in BAP. But there seems to be one piece of evidence that was missed,” said Indira who made the public prosecutor's face tense. “Reservation history on the application used to order ojol, which happened to be the driver obtained at that time was defendant.”

“Doubt, Your Grace. The defendant's phone has been checked and proven there is no booking history since one hour before the incident.”

“Sadly, the investigator only checks the Extreme application, while the witness orders through another application, namely On-Jek.”

“But in BAP, the witness said if his son ordered an ojek by phone. That means the witness has given a testimony that contradicts what he said during the examination. This makes his credibility as a witness must be questioned.”

“Article 1 figure 26 KUHAP defines a witness as a person who can provide information in the interests of investigation, prosecution and justice about a criminal case that he heard, saw and experienced himself. He has explained that all this time his son ordered ojek by phone.”

“But said Brother legal advisor, You want to check the booking history on the application -”

“Iya, phone,” cut Indira. “Isn't the phone a mobile phone?”

The trial attendees could not help but laugh due to the funny answers and expressions displayed by Indira. Meanwhile, Prosecutor Jerold was simply speechless in confusion.

“To corroborate the testimony of the witness, I would like to file one more witness in this trial, Your Honor. He is the son of a witness who ordered the services of the accused via the application.”

“Objection, Your Excellency.”

The presiding judge did not seem to care about the public prosecutor's screams. His eyes continued to point at Indira. Then he said, “Allowed.”

Then Indira called a name and a young woman appeared who sat beside the first witness. He stood back up to take the oath and explained his identity to the presiding judge.

“Brother witness, is it true on the day of the incident, Brother ordered the application ojol and got the accused as a driver?” ask Indira.

“True.”

“Is the booking history still stored on your phone?”

“Still.”

The woman pulled a cell phone out of her pocket. He took her to the judge's table followed by the public prosecutor and legal counsel. They look at the booking history in question and indeed the time of completion of the booking in accordance with the information provided by the first witness.

They sat back down and Indira's face did not stop smiling.

“According to reports, the defendant was arrested on the street of Beauty at 1.20. If followed, at 1 o'clock the accused escorted the witness to his workplace. The distance from the place to the back of the mall Sukajadi about 3 minutes drive. We assume the defendant immediately gets the order when he gets to the back of the mall. The distance from the back of the mall to Mischa house is 5 minutes drive. Meanwhile, the distance between Mischa's house to the street Beauty where the accused was arrested is about 10 minutes. Is it possible that the accused can kill and hide the victim within 2 minutes?”

The silent court room. Almost everyone in the room and who watched the live broadcast of the hearing agreed that the answer was impossible.

“This is also contrary to the testimony given by a witness named Dodit Handoko presented by the public prosecutor. According to the witness, he saw the accused behind the Sukajadi mall at 12:10. Incidentally, we also just found some facts about the witness. One of them is his status as a recidivist fraud case.”

The face of the public prosecutor who is often called the Attorney Jerold was again surprised. He did not examine such an important matter at all when he decided that a man named Dodit Handoko would bear witness to the incriminating Abhimanyu Alexander.

“Good, looks like we should call that witness named Dodit Handoko at the next hearing. If it is proven that the witness gave false testimony, we will punish him. The brother of the public prosecutor should pay attention to this because previously you have presented false witnesses as well,” said the presiding judge in an annoyed tone. “Good, Brother public prosecutor, still have questions?”

Prosecutor Jerold's thoughts are still in disarray. He was completely unprepared for everything that happened

“Then, why was there no On-Jek app on the defendant's phone before?”

Prosecutor Jerold was a little relieved to find a pretty good question, although for him it was not enough to pay ‘attack’ given by Indira earlier.

“The application was on the defendant's phone,” Indira replied after hearing a whisper from Abi. “To be known, the accused is a very careful and conscientious person. He has a friend who works in the Extreme office. If that friend knew himself to be another app partner as well, it would be able to ruin their relationship. To that end, it stores the On-Jek app in a hidden folder and opens it only when it needs it. Brother of the public prosecutor and His Majesty can check it yourself.”

The court clerk brought the mobile phone in question. Prosecutors Jerold, Indira and Abi ran to the judge's desk and they checked the phone. And it is true as Indira said.

“Good, public prosecutor, still have other questions?”

Prosecutor Jerold was down for quite a while. Then he saw someone. Someone who looked at him sharply. The person he fears and respects the most. He had promised never to be humiliated like this again.

“Nothing, Your Majesty,” he said in a soft voice. His heart skipped a beat as if the apocalypse had come to him.

The presiding judge gave several explanations to both witnesses before allowing them to leave the courtroom.

“Good, Brother general counsel can call the next witness.
