Abi returns to the interrogation room with a different investigator and a different case. Briptu Sartono and Bripka Heru, two policemen whose faces are no less sad than the investigator who interrogated before.

Abi's eyes glanced at the plastic on the table containing various objects. There were blood-stained knives, silver glasses and lighters. He had seen this thing before and had a bad feeling when he saw it back now.

“You've seen it, haven't you? Yeah, we found it at Mischa Radjasa's house. In all these things there is your fingerprint,” said Bripka Heru. Then he brought his face closer to Abi's face with a sharp look and returned to speaking in a lower tone, “At the previous interrogation, he said, you said you were just picking up stuff that someone gave you without coming into the house. Then, why are these things there?”

Abi returned the sharp gaze for a moment then turned his gaze away with a smile. He casually said, “I will not give any information without a lawyer.”

“Then, where is your lawyer?!” Bripka Heru broke down the table while shouting angrily, making Briptu Sartono who was beside him aghast. “Just admit that you killed Mischa, deny that you received the package from her and then slander the police with a drama of persecution so that we don't look for Mischa and finally find out about the murder you committed.”

“Any person who is arrested, detained, and charged for allegedly committing a criminal offence has the right to be considered innocent, until proven wrong legally in a court hearing and given all legal guarantees necessary for his defense, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.”

Abi's words made Bripka Heru even more angry. “What else is that law?”

“ Law number 39 Year 1999 on Human Rights article 18 paragraph (1).”

Bripka Heru was silent, while Briptu Sartono looked confused to see the strange condition. With a little embarrassment, Bripka Heru responded to that information, “A, I already know. Don't teach me about the law.”

“There is also Law Number 12 of 2005 concerning the Endorsement of the International Covenant on Civil And Political Rights article 14 paragraph (2). Wanna hear?”

The thin mustachioed policeman raised his index finger at Abi to signal the order to be silent. “I told you, don't teach me about the law. I'm law enforcement and there's no way not to know.”

“Presumption of innocence.”

Bripka Heru who had been trying to calm down again was upset with his face as if begging Abi not to talk about things that were too heavy for him. “What else is that? Now you're discussing what number law is again?”

The whole room was suddenly quiet. Abi spoke no more and just smiled. While Briptu Sartono increasingly awkward to see Bripka Heru who was confused by the silence.

“That means the principle of presumption of innocence, sir,” whispered Briptu Sartono to his senior.

The whisper made Bripka Heru feel embarrassed and after that he did not talk much. He pretended to check the documents, while Abi just looked at him. In contrast to his previous violent investigation, this time he witnessed a bit of entertainment.

“Seeing the alleged criminal offense to you, do you know if you are unable to appoint legal counsel, then the concerned official will appoint his own legal counsel for you?”

Briptu Sartono seemed to save his partner's face by asking questions that contain threats. Abi smiles. Before accepting the question, he had already thought about it as well. He could not take much longer to appoint an appropriate legal adviser. Yes, he could not just point because in his case, quite a number of parties were involved. Wrong legal counsel would be a threat to him.

“At least he's smarter than you,” Abi told Bripka Heru, angering the cop even more with embarrassment.

“The lawyer has not been able?” tejo asked when he saw Abi was only pensive while the other prisoners were seriously staring at the television outside the detention room.

Abi did not answer the question and remained engrossed in the weight of his mind. Tejo did not try to get his answer and continued watching.

It's only natural that Abi is dizzy. His preferred legal adviser refused to defend him, while the one who offered did not have the qualifications he wanted. In fact, some of them clearly did not really intend to help him.

“Bags, it must have been him who sent those stupid lawyers,” muttered Abi who made his roommate look at him in astonishment, thinking he was talking to them.

“Hei, the one who hurt the police the most,” Amran called Abi with a derogatory tone. The other residents who heard it did not laugh anymore because they were used to hearing it.

Unlike before, this time Abi responded to the words of his roommate despite only looking back silently. His eyes still look empty. He seemed ready to hear whatever Amran said next by force.

“You better find a female lawyer. You not only need to be defended, but given affection,” continued Amran who invited laughter throughout the room. But Abi couldn't laugh at all.

“As he?” ask one of the room residents while pointing at the television.

Television news at the time was about a conflict between a company called PT. Mighty Adhimulya against the local people. The conflict stems from a citizen lawsuit that the company conducts activities outside the Right to Use (HGU). Unfortunately, the lawsuit was rejected in the local state court.

Residents, along with one of the NGOs there, filed the case with the Supreme Court. At this stage something interesting happens. PT. Adhi Mulya Sejahtera almost got a winning streak. However, one of the lawyers from the Top Justice Law Firm who defended them accidentally revealed another breach committed by the company. This violation is environmental pollution. It has been so far PT. Adhi Mulya Sejahtera disposes of hazardous and toxic waste materials (B3) to a nearby river.

The community also confirmed this after finding patient data at the nearest health center. Over the past few months, precisely since the company was established, many people have experienced respiratory problems and liver damage suspected of coming from a dangerous material called Barium. Not to mention the content of Arsenic that has contaminated the river that has the potential to cause cancer.

The final decision, PT. Adhi Mulya Sejahtera, who was originally charged with restoring the property of residents in the form of several square meters of land, now has to be closed completely because it is proven to do very severe environmental pollution.

“Who is that lawyer's name?”

The whole room saw Abi who for the first time in this day made a sound. He was stunned to see a petite female lawyer with a confused gesture facing the camera. The few fellow lawyers who were beside him occasionally threw annoyed gazes at him. In fact, the director of PT. Adhi Mulya Sejahtera almost attacked him when they just came out of the courtroom. He is a lawyer who ‘jasa’ in the destruction of his client.

“Indira Christina's. Wh why? You really want him to be your lawyer?”

Abi smiles. His eyes twinkled like an adventurer who had just discovered a treasure. His hands clenched as if he was grasping a lump of happiness. That's the kind of person he's been looking for all this time.

“I must appoint him as my legal advisor. Otherwise, I'll regret it for the rest of my life.”
