Next day
Indira was busy compiling the documents, when a friendly-looking old man opened the door of his room and smiled. Lately they have often met and even though the law office is not his, Mr. Burhan seems to have free access to enter and exit the office without having to excuse anyone first.
“Let's have lunch plans?” ask Mr. Burhan.
“Nothing, Sir. Want to have lunch together?” Indira asked back which was answered with a small nod from the old man.
Had Burhan's age been younger and the owner of the law office had not explained the relationship between him and Indira, perhaps other employees would have thought they were lovers. They are very close. In fact, there will be questions from Indira's colleagues if in one day, Mr. Burhan does not show his nose in the office.
Indira was busy tidying up her desk, while Mr. Burhan sat in the waiting room, chatting with one of his juniors who was also the owner of the office. They are talking about their grand college reunion which will be held in two weeks.
“You already know that Indira is also an alma mater with us, right?” ask Mr. Burhan.
“Of course. I gave him an invitation. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem very interested. Maybe you can persuade him to come.”
Mr. Burhan understands why Indira is reluctant to come along. First, Indira was often ostracized by her friends because it did not stand out in everything, but get special treatment from her who is a favorite lecturer. Second, of course, alumni of the campus have many who work in the field of law, especially as advocates. Given her behavior a few months ago, it is natural that Indira feels that there will be many people who hate her at the reunion.
Suddenly, their eyes were distracted by the broadcast that was being aired on television. An exclusive mega interview that will electrify the country is being advertised. Jack Off the Record, who though annoying, is recognized as a living legend of the national journalism world, will interview someone who has had experience many times electrifying this country. Someone who should be in prison with tight security and should not be interviewed by the media from anywhere. Someone who until the end is reportedly still in an ambiguous position between evil or good. A man named Abhimanyu Alexander.
“Viewers, shocking news came from the phenomenal man who once earned the nickname the Legal Genius, Abhimanyu Alexander. Abhimanyu Alexander is currently serving a prison sentence on Begeblug island, known as one of the strictest prisons in the country. However, our journalist Jaka Pradipta Wijaya, also known as Jack Off the Record, managed to do an exclusive interview with Abhimanyu Alexander. Unfortunately, based on the agreement they have made, our journalists cannot tell either the location of the interview or the current location of Abhimanyu Alexander. This interview will be aired at 15:00. Don't miss!”
Mr. Burhan was fixated, as if his mind was paralyzed at the moment. His partner shook his body, but he did not give any reaction. His consciousness only returned when he saw Indira also being glued in front of the television. Mr. Burhan felt it natural that Indira was surprised, because he saw his father and former client would appear on one screen without his knowledge.
Mr. Burhan looked back at the television and it turned out there were still the faces of Jack Off the Record and Abhimanyu Alexander in the interview preview which will be held in three hours. He also looked around. The employees were also busy discussing the interview, which they knew from their phones.
“Pak, it seems like I can't have lunch with you right now. I have to find the man,” Indira said as she pointed to the television screen. “I mean, my father. I don't care about the other guy anymore.”
“Need Mr to accompany?”
“It's best not. I'll just meet him and try to stop that shit show.”
Indira stepped her feet out of the office with an annoyed face mixed with sadness. Mr. Burhan sent a text message to his assistant, Jesse Arnold, to send one of his men to follow Indira.
That bastard, what else is he going to do now?

Back to the day before
Abi sat facing the camera. Next to him was Jack Off the Record with a piece of paper in his hand. Jack gave the direction for Abi to sit a bit leaning towards him so that they really looked like they were in an interview.
“You sure you didn't show it live? The tension will be higher, such as the value of exclusivity. Take it easy, this place is very safe and no one will be able to track it.”
“People say, concealer can help cover dark spots and accentuate certain areas of the face. I tried it and it turned out to be true. Close your eyes, I'll put them on your face. You should look handsome.”
“Is this mascara not excessive enough? I am afraid that I will look beautiful later,” said Abi who, despite refusing, still closed her eyes.
“Why didn't you do it to papa?”
The woman, who was none other than Indira, looked at him cynically and then threw away her face. “You take care of yourself.”
Jack could only laugh. He was not at all hurt by the attitude of his youngest daughter. He thought about Abi's words. Right, if this interview is broadcast live, Mr. Jireh will know that Indira is involved. Indira had to be under the supervision of Mr. Jireh when this interview was broadcast.
“You ready?” jack asked when Indira had finished dressing her up.
“Already,” replied Abi while fixing her sitting position.
Then, Jack gives a cue and Indira presses the start recording button.
“Good afternoon by evening, Viewers all over the country. I'm Jaka Pradipta Wijaya or Jack Off the Record presenting to you, an exclusive interview, even a mega exclusive. An interview that is even highly unlikely to be done at the moment, he said, by someone who had shaken the world of law and all national media with his actions since the first day he was set as a suspect until his escape from the Maharaja's lecture two months ago.”
Indira looked at Jack with fascination. Only this time he realized that his father was a great journalist.
“Let's welcome, Abhimanyu Alexander.”
Now Indira gave her big smile to Abi with a soft applause. His face looks very enthusiastic as if to give spirit to his former client.
“How are you?” jack asked, holding his hand.
“Outstanding.”
“To clarify, is it true that we are not currently on Begeblug island?”
“Yes, of course. I've escaped from the island with great difficulty.”
“One more thing I want you to explain to viewers all over the country, is it true you came to me to do this interview?”
“True once.”
“See how hard you try to meet me, surely what you want to convey is very important. If you may know, what is the outline?”
Abi lowered his head while sighing deeply. Then, he looked towards the camera with a sharp gaze and said, “A pledoi.”
