The trial this time took place with the news that accompanied him. Starting from the examination of a new suspect named Benjiro to the dismissal of Indira conducted by the advocacy organization, IKAKUM. Abi's rejection of the assistance filed by the law firm Heart of Justice is also no less horrendous. This made Abi look alone without any legal counsel during the trial.

But, what was most horrendous was the fact that Benjiro had faced several of his own trials up to the stage of proof. The trial is closed and tends to be kept secret from the public. This is controversial because the nature of the case being tried is not included in any of the cases that are allowed to be conducted in a closed trial. Moreover, Abi was never involved as a witness. However, these trials are inevitably considered legitimate.

Meanwhile, today's trial agenda is the reading of criminal charges. As many people suspected, the public prosecutor not only gave charges to Abi related to drug trafficking cases, there was no related case of murder or fabrication of murder. However, Abi was charged with article 114 paragraph (1) juncto article 132 paragraph (2) Law No. 35 of 2009 on the Eradication of Narcotics with maximum demand, which is twenty years in prison.

“Brother of the accused, understand the demands that have been read?” ask the chief judge Abi.

“Understand, Your Majesty,” replied Abi loudly.

“Is there a defense from the defendant's Brother?”

“I will leave it entirely to my legal advisor.”

Everyone was excited by Abi's answer. Legal adviser? Wh who? Over where? There was no sign of the appearance of the intended legal counsel.

“Brother how? From the beginning of today's trial, you were not accompanied by any legal counsel. Who's the legal advisor?”

“On behalf of Indira Christina, Your Majesty,” replied Abi who again invited excitement.

How come? Indira Christina has been fired from IKAKUM. He no longer has the power as an advocate, let alone to accompany Abi as his legal advisor.

Suddenly the door of the trial opened and a figure appeared whose name had just been mentioned by Abi. The woman walked in a row while carrying some documents. His feeling was very nervous. Aside from the question mark-filled attention of the people he was drawn to, he was also nervous about having to start the trial halfway through.

“Sorry, I'm late, Your Majesty. I am the legal advisor of defendant Abhimanyu Alexander,” said Indira while handing over her power of attorney and advocate practice permit card. The judge examined and discussed it moments ago, allowing Indira to sit next to Abi.

“How long did you call my name? I've been waiting outside for a long time,” whispered Indira as she arrived next to Abi.

“You've been waiting outside? Are you an artist who will receive the award?”

“I just want to look cool and surprising when entering,” Indira said with a shy smile.

“Yes, you did it. You don't know how I've been anxiously waiting for you since. I thought you weren't coming.”

Indira again threw her innocent smile, making Abi's annoyance begin to fall. Indira also did not want to defend herself. Being able to return to sit beside Abi during the trial alone was a boon to him.

Almost everyone in this room is still shocked by Indira's appearance and still wondering how it is possible for the panel of judges to allow her to re-defend Abi as a legal adviser. Some journalists even contacted people at IKAKUM to reconfirm Indira's status there and there was absolutely no change.

“I wait for my practice permission card to come out,” Indira replied as she pulled out the document from her bag.

Indeed, Indira came out of IKAKUM. However, on the advice of one of his seniors on campus first, he went to another advocate organization, namely APHU, short for Legal Advisory Association. Fortunately, for APHU, the violation that IKAKUM alleged on Indira was considered not a grave violation that should be punished by dismissal. Indira also managed to convince APHU that IKAKUM took the decision because it was under pressure from a party. Incidentally, there has been a veiled rivalry between the two organizations.

“Good, we're starting to get back to the trial. Brother of the legal counsel, the brother of the accused has heard the demands read by the public prosecutor and said he will submit a decision related to the defense to you. How's decision? Is there a plea note? Please discuss in advance by the defendant's brother.”

Without waiting for a long time, Indira brought her mouth closer to the microphone and immediately said, “No defense, Your Majesty.”

Again everyone was surprised to be made Indira. Though his dramatic arrival fosters a hope that there will be exciting action in this court and the reading of the defense note is one of the most potential moments. If there was no defense, his presence felt useless. Abi himself can say it and the trial will proceed with the same result.

“Brothers sure?” The presiding judge tried to clarify the decision.

Indira looked towards Abi. The man retorted with a sharp look, then smiled. Indira smiled and again spoke to the presiding judge in a loud voice, “Yakin, Your Majesty.”

The atmosphere was suddenly silent, as if everyone was confused about what else to do because the scenario that had been arranged in their heads suddenly fell apart because of Indira.

“Alright, then for Brother public prosecutor, is the examination enough?”

The public prosecutor who is still surprised by the defendant's reaction, because he has been very prepared for the replicas (response from the defendant's defense), can only say, “I think it is enough, Your Honor.”

The presiding judge set his sights on Indira and asked the same question, “Brother legal counsel, is the examination enough?”

“Already, Your Majesty,” replied Indira steadily.

Then, the judges discussed for a moment to discuss the agenda of the next hearing.

“Alright, since both parties consider the inspection to be sufficient, then with this the examination is declared closed. And based on the results of the deliberation of the judges, the hearing will be continued three days later with the agenda of the final judgment reading by the judges. To that end, it is reminded of the brother of the public prosecutor to attend and bring the defendant to the next hearing. Similarly with your legal advisor. This call is an official notice and is not to be recalled. Do the Brothers understand?”

“Understand, Your Highness,” said the public prosecutor and Indira simultaneously.

Then, the presiding judge ordered the clerk to record the next hearing and close the hearing today.

Back the smile expands on Indira's lips. He stood up and spread out his hands while saying something cheerful to Abi. Not only that, he formed the fingers in both hands like a gun and as if shooting into the sky, as if he was performing a celebration. Abi also followed the moves made by Indira, although only briefly.

This moment is certainly not wasted by news seekers. They record it, then broadcast it, so that in some time to come, the footage will go viral as a symbol that a lawyer named Indira and his controversial client named Abhimanyu Alexander are not in anyone's control. Be it the police or an organization called IKAKUM.
