Third trial with suspect Abhimanyu Alexander

A very thick tense atmosphere was felt in the court room at that time. The trial went on with excitement. Every eye that follows the course of the trial, whether in the courtroom or who is watching through a live broadcast, is not willing to let go of their eyes. They do not want to miss a little drama that might happen. Yes, for more than three hours the trial lasted, so much drama through the disclosure of various facts that really made the heart always beat faster than usual.

“So, there is no denying it, this case has been engineered since the beginning. Whether it's the alleged drug trafficking or the murder of an artist with the initials MR. We're sure, right now, the real culprit is still out there.”

Indira's loud voice broke the air in the room. He seemed more excited and confident than the previous sessions. Everyone was stunned with every word that came out of his mouth.

The judges discussed with each other the realization that they had to make difficult decisions after various facts presented by the defendants made what they believed collapsed one by one.

“Good, Brother of the accused, is there anything to convey?” ask the presiding judge who has been visibly upset with Abi.

Abi leaned his mouth towards the microphone, then turned it on and prepared to speak. “There is one thing I do not agree with what my legal advisor said earlier.”

The court room is back. The audience seems to be convinced there will be a new drama that will not be less exciting than what was shown earlier. Everyone was looking forward to Abi's next remarks, including the public prosecutor and the judges.

“What is it?” ask the chief judge.

“I'm not actually hanging around out there right now,” replied Abi who added to the tension in that trial. “He is in this room. I'm sure, what I saw in the TKP at the time was not Mischa Radjasa, but that guy.”

Abi pointed to a large man wearing a long black suit, who was sitting in the third row to the right of the visitor's seat. All eyes were now on him. In fact, the camera, which from the beginning pointed forward, is now turning to capture the face of the person Abi pointed at.

This time a huge stir could not be inevitable anymore. In fact, since the first trial, there has never been a stir of this magnitude. The presiding judge repeatedly knocked on his hammer to calm the courtroom until it finally broke.

While the man looked very frightened. Like a deer that has been cornered among the lions that are about to pounce on it.

A few days before the third trial

“So, have you found the result?” abi asked Indira who had just arrived. There is not a little pleasantries like asking for news, coming up with what, and so on. Abi had been waiting for Indira's presence with anxiety.

Indira nodded while taking out some papers from her bag. He showed Abi the order of reading information on the paper, according to the instructions of the source.

“So, this is a picture of the head and chest bones of the late Mischa. As the investigator said, his death was allegedly due to the impact of a glass and the stabbing of a knife with your fingerprints. So, I met your ojek subscription. Incidentally, the person is very much in control of forensic anthropology, or more simply, a branch of forensic science that focuses more on examining the skeleton or the rest of the human body. Very suitable, considering the body of the deceased is no longer intact because it burned.”

“Some things about the cause of death, or can be said, that are not the cause of death. However, he stressed that his analysis could not be ascertained as accurate or not because he only relied on photos. If he could check directly, he could provide more accurate data,” explained Indira.

“Unfortunately, even if he wants to, Mischa's body has been cremated according to his family's request.,” Abi said as he examined the papers. “But, these information are enough for us to face an expert witness later.”

“Why don't you just ask him to be our expert witness?”

“He still works in the police force. If we openly designate him as an expert witness, it is not impossible that there are people in his workplace who give him pressure before the trial. It will backfire for us.”

“Alright then.” Indira did not try to argue Abi and forgot his proposal. “So, we can estimate the cause of death based on research that focuses on traces of trauma or injury to the bone. There are several types of trauma to the bone and for Mischa's case, there should only be two traumas, namely trauma due to the impact of a blunt object on her head and trauma due to a sharp object on her chest. For trauma due to a blunt object impact, the overall distribution of the injury may explain the mechanism of the injury. If we look at the trauma in his head, the distribution of his injuries is very small and very difficult to qualify to be the cause of death.”

“Yes, they do not want to break the glass because it is one of the important instruments to direct me as the culprit.”

“That's. And for the trauma to his chest, it does look quite deep. But the doctor suspected that the wound occurred after the death of the victim, or the term postmortem.”

“Where can he see it?”

“It's very easy to see it. In traumatized bones, on the surface, the middle and inner sides appear black. If violence occurs after death, the bone fractures are white. But if it occurs before death, the fault appears black. Even up to its cavities.”

“He said about how the puncture wound could be created?”

“Like other puncture wounds, there is a large fracture with a shape similar to a knife blade that is suspected as a murder weapon. The depth of trauma that occurs is likely because the perpetrator stabbed the victim in a sleeping position so that the pressure strength is greater and is done with both hands. The position is roughly like this,” Indira demonstrated the possibility of the position of the perpetrator when stabbing the chest of his victim. He leaned his body until he realized his face almost collided with Abi's face. Indira immediately retreated and sat down as before with a reddened face. “Good news, this is contradictory to your fingerprints found on the handle of the knife. As you said, the shape of your fingerprints attached is a grip like stirring tea, not a grip to stab people with all your might.”

Abi thought seriously. His index finger tapped on the surface of the table, as if to be the tone that accompanied his journey into the deductive realm. He attributes all the facts that have been discovered and places them on a large frame of logic to connect the threads of events so that they make sense and may approach the truth.

“Means it was like that,” murmured Abi, as if talking to himself. “But I felt something was missed. If he did, why did it happen like that?”

“Eh, do you know who did it? Who?”

“You won't know him. Just look at it later in court, you can see it live.”

“Means you really already know? Hows it? Since when?” Indira chases Abi with questions because she does not accept Abi has such an important secret for the case they are working on together.

Abi did not answer. He actually lifted his bangs and showed scars from an attack from Dirga's boss some time ago. “To get the identity of the culprit, I also have to get this wound. Until now, I still feel the pain.”
