At Rinjani's cafe, Abi swaps roles with Rama
“Who is he?” indira whispered to Abi after seeing the familiarity of the two of them.
The woman heard Indira's question and immediately stuck her hand out at Indira. “Include, Rinjani. One of the people who made the Evening Advocate retired.”
“What?” ask Indira directly to the woman named Rinjani. He wanted to make sure that his ears had misheard the name of the Night Advocate from the mouth of a stranger to him.
“Yes, I am -”
“He only talks nonsense,” interrupts Abi while pushing Rinjani's body away from Indira. “Sit there first. I want to talk to this woman.”
Indira is still gawking because she has not managed to digest what was going on when Abi and Rinjani left her.
“What's wrong with your stomach?” rinjani asks because she sees Abi holding her stomach.
“It's okay. This is just the price I have to pay to be here,” replied Abi.
“O yes, how did you get here? Shouldn't you still be in rutan?”
“Long story. I'd like to ask you for help.”
“I have plenty of time to listen to it.”
“But I don't have much time.”
“Ya already, just go now.”
Abi sighed as he realized that the woman before him was the most stubborn woman he had ever known. Finally, he told her how he could get out of the rutan as briefly as possible.
“It is, like that. Satisfied?” asked Abi annoyed.
“So, did you hurt your stomach?”
“Ya.”
“Stupid. Then, did you go to New Batavia? How's it going there?”
“Not much change.”
“Siti V still sucks.”
“Ya, same as you.”
“So, in that building you -”
“No more questions! I want to ask for help now!”
Abi held onto both of Rinjani's shoulders with an angry face. He can't take it anymore. It looks as if Rinjani is laughing giggling. Yes, he did deliberately upset Abi.
“OK, okay, what do you want to ask for help?”
“Bima Sakti,” replied Abi. “I want you to investigate the man.”
“Oh, the ‘ kindly’ man who ran for governor, huh? Why her? Was he involved in your case?”
“I can't confirm it yet. There's a document I stole from PT's office. Laras Jaya Karya who listed his name. The document was very contrary to the vision and mission he promoted in order to perpetuate his path to the governor's seat. I just want you to find out his real position.”
Rinjani nods her head at the sign of understanding Abi's request.
“If I manage to find that information, you will be free?”
“No, instead I plan to go to jail. There's something really big and creepy that I can figure out if I can get into jail.”
In the car, moments after Abi and Indira leave from Rinjani's cafe
“Dormiunt aliquando leges, nunquam moriuntur.”
Indira looked at Abi who was trying to correct her words. This is not the right time to correct speech because the atmosphere is moving.
“While trying, I won't be able to understand the wounds you suffered fifteen years ago. But, I admire you so much who did not take revenge in the cowboy way. You still believe in the law as a weapon. Though it was the darkest time of your life.”
“Not,” refute Abi. “It wasn't the darkest time of my life.”
Hearing the statement, Indira was shocked to the point of widening her eyes. During this time, hearing from the stories of some people, he considered what happened to Abi fifteen years ago to be very terrible. He could never imagine how sick Abi's body and heart were at that time. In fact, he was sure he could not bear half of the pain. But, it turns out that was not the darkest time in Abi's life. I don't know, how terrible the darkest time was.
“How dark was it to be darker than the slander torture in your teens?” ask Indira.
Abi let out a long sigh and his gaze returned blank. “Sekelam when you lose someone you love.”
Indira's lips trembled and her eyes suddenly sore and then shed tears when she heard the words of Abi, as if she felt the wound that Abi was feeling even though she did not know who Abi was losing.
“Then, do you think by defeating lord Jireh, you can make up for your darkest period?” asked Indira after her sadness began to diminish.
“You think so,” replied Abi. “Why am I fighting Mr Jireh? I've long heard of his name and reputation.”
“What's he like?”
“He is known as a santa-clas for the rich who commit crimes. If you have a lot of money, no matter how big of a crime you are, you don't have to worry.”
“You mean, he is a case broker?”
“Yes, he can arrange the results of the trial which puts the rich and important officials as patients,” Abi replied. “But tonight I just found out that the understanding of ‘sinterklas’ is wider than I thought.”
“You mean?”
Abi took back his cellphone in Indira's hand and opened one of the photos he took earlier.
“Look, in the document was a renovation of several prisons and seen from the names, he said, those are prisons that have special cells for corruption prisoners and some officials or children of officials who are punished are also on average imprisoned there.”
Indira looked at the photo of the document as her brain tried to associate it with Mr. Jireh.
“I still do not understand,” said Indira.
“Most likely PT. Laras Jaya Karya which was under the control of Mr. Jireh carried out renovations for the convenience of wealthy prisoners and former officials. Unfortunately, we need another document to know the details.”
Indira nodded her head in a sign of beginning to understand. “So, what should we do now? Isn't it impossible if we report it to the police?”
“Of course. We only have incomplete data obtained from the theft,” Abi said.
“Speaking about reporting the police, is it possible PT. Laras Jaya Karya will report us to the police for breaking into the building earlier?”
“Take it easy. They don't have any evidence that we went in there. I have avoided CCTV and in fact, nothing is missing from there because we take nothing but photographing the documents,” Abi replied to calm Indira's heart.
“Good. It will be very troublesome if they see your face on their CCTV,” Indira said while leaning her body. Then he remembered the previous conversation. “O yes, so what will you do to get the detailed documents?”
“Not a document, but I will investigate it directly.”
Abi's words astonished Indira and caused concern. He thought Abi would do strange things again.
“How to? Do not do anything unusual done by normal people.”
Abi smiled at Indira, making the suspicion of the short-haired woman even greater. Then he said, “I want to be convicted and imprisoned in one of the prisons on that document.”
And Indira's hunch is right.
