Way Back To You

Way Back To You
We Can't Be Together

“Han, sorry I'm late. The road is jammed badly if it rains like this.”

With a crush Bobby came to meet Hanna who had arrived first at the cafe they agreed. He sat down in front of Hanna, after which took out his handkerchief to dry his hair and suit suit slightly wet from the rain. Bobby didn't bring an umbrella, so he immediately broke through the heavy rain for fear that Hanna might have been waiting for him for quite some time.

“It’s okay, Bob. I just arrived.” too

Hanna's face looked riled up, it was the first impression that Bobby caught when he just arrived. It was as if Hanna was carrying a very heavy burden - even if she knew it was the truth because of her pregnancy. But this time it was different, Hanna tended to seem like she was worried and also agitated.

“Do you want to talk to me about something?”

Hanna suddenly asked to meet. It should be a very important thing that can no longer be delayed to talk about.

“Bob, I've met my baby's father.”

I guessed it, Bobby's mind. Bobby tried to stay calm even though his heart started pounding. Bobby is afraid of one thing, Hanna rejects him. To reduce his anxiety, Bobby also tried to sip the coffee Hanna had ordered before he came.

“Then?”

“Then..we agreed to take care of this baby together.”.

Bobby swallowed with great difficulty. He had anticipated it before, yet he still grew his hope in the chest, hoping that one day Hanna would turn around and come to see him. However, it seemed like it was just his thoughts and delusions.

“Oh yes?” Bobby once again tried to stay calm.

“Mm.” Hanna muttering.

“Dan..because we have agreed, that means..” Hanna ventured to look into Bobby's eyes.

“...my answer still remains the same to you Bob. I...can't be with you, I'm sorry.” Hanna said sincerely.

Bobby chuckles, trying to cover up his disappointment by deceiving himself and Hanna through his facial expression. If only Hanna knew how hurt Bobby was right now.

“Why are you even apologizing?”

Hanna didn't say. He kept staring at Bobby's face and he couldn't cover up his guilt. But how else. She couldn't possibly force herself, and after all she and Liam had agreed to keep this baby. Liam had already agreed to take responsibility, and Hanna could confirm that in the future there would only be Liam in her world.

“It is good that the man is responsible. I... good to hear it.”

Deceiver, Bobby hugs himself. Since when is she happy if Hanna falls into the hands of another man? Ever since he first looked at Hanna, he had already fallen for her. He tries to reject all the other women present in his life and just make Hanna the goal of all the things he's been working on.

He had a feeling that there would be a possibility that he and Hanna would be together, when he found out Hanna had broken up with her lover. He immediately tried to get close to Hanna, but new problems re-emerged.

Is this a sign that she and Hanna can't be together? But he only likes Hanna. Bobby's never been in real love like this except for Hanna. But reality for the sake of reality that happened to the two of them even more to make the distance between the two widen.

“Bob, I'm really sorry. You... alright?” Talk to me about something, so at least I understand what you're really thinking, don't make me guess.

“Do you think this rejection will break me? Not even Han. I already knew it would be like this, so you don't have to worry. I understand and even happy for you.” Bobby said, back to lying. “Good if your baby's father wants to be responsible.”

Who says he is not broken? Who says the baby's father's appearance is a good thing? Hanna was arguably her first love, and this first love just killed her. It turns out that people's expressions are true, if first love usually won't work.

“You still want to talk about something else? I have a need after this.”

That reason was the same reason Hanna had said when she was with Noah that time. No one needs to, it's just that he knows Bobby isn't comfortable with him because his heart must be hurting. But Hanna had no other choice. From the beginning he knew they would not succeed.

“Well if you don't have another topic. I'm going first. You...can go home by yourself, right?”

Bobby stood up after Hanna shook her head, signaling that their conversation was over. The rain was still pouring down heavily, the lightning flashing created a bright light of a few seconds. Bobby again broke through the rain regardless of his wet body.

I'm sorry, Bob. But you deserve someone much better than me.

Bobby stared at the glass filled with alcoholic beverages in his hand. He smiled, then a second later his face turned grim again. There's a lot of things Bobby's been planning, but what power, reality in front of him refuses to go along with him. Bobby wants Hanna more than anything else, and his love for Hanna cannot be described with words.

Too much alcohol was drunk, and his head began to feel dizzy and heavy. Not to mention her body that started to feel uncomfortable –maybe because she let her wet clothes dry on her body. Bobby leaned down on his arm that he put on the table.

There were so many things he wanted to make happen with Hanna. But why did the man show up? It was good that he did not see Hanna, so he had a reason to be with Hanna without this kind of rejection.

“Until you meet tomorrow, Lona.”.

Lona just smiled, waving her hand at her other office friends. After the project they worked on was successful, his boss invited them to eat at an expensive restaurant, after which they decided to stop for a while at a nightclub not far from the restaurant.

Actually Lona did not want to, because she did not want to get stuck with a problem that might incriminate her like Hanna's problem. But her friends continued to insist, and inevitably, Lona came along. But throughout their time at the club, Hanna no longer dares to drink alcohol for fear that she will get drunk and may encounter depraved men who will take advantage of her.

“Sorry, your wallet fell.”

Lona placed a purse she picked up from the floor next to the owner who might have been drunk. The man just lowered his head, but after Lona spoke, he lifted his face and tried to fumble his wallet.

“Thanks.” Bobby still has half-opened eyes.

“Bobby?” exclaims Lona, knowing the owner of the wallet she returned is Bobby, Hanna's boss.

Bobby looks. For a moment he seemed to think –remembering who Lona was. And after he remembered, he smiled, but then he laid his head back.

“You okay? You drink too much.” Lona kept away the glass and a bottle of alcohol that was still full.

“Not many..Only...” Bobby lifted his fingers, thumb and index finger he tightened, “.only this.”

Just like this, Lona murmur. He counted four empty bottles of alcohol, and one was still filled. What four bottles can say a little?

“Do you still want to be here? Did someone pick you up? If there is none, let me take it for a while because I also want to go home.” Lona said again.

Bobby fusses, so Lona has to bring her ears closer to hear what Bobby says. He heard nothing clearly, other than Hanna's name. What don't-don't...

“Hanna reject you?” guess Lona.

Getting such a question, Bobby just chuckled. He straightened his back, tapped the table a few times with his finger, and then returned laughing. That's right, Hanna must have rejected it Lona murmured.

Seeing Bobby's heartbroken condition, Lona sits next to Bobby with the intention of comforting him. He looked at Bobby, waiting until the man's condition improved a little. He's pretty good too, inner Lona after doing ‘’ research on Bobby's face. If it wasn't for the baby's father being Liam, I might have preferred Hanna to be with this man. At least this one had clearly loved Hanna, instead, Liam was just carrying out his responsibilities to the baby, yet had no feelings whatsoever for Hanna.

“Come, I'll take you home.”

Lona can't let Bobby stay longer at the nightclub. But when he embraces Bobby's body when he wants to help him stand up, he realizes the heat from the man's body. Lona quickly puts her bag on the table and touches Bobby's forehead.

“Jeez, you have a high fever.” Exclaims.

How'this?

“Bob, we go to the hospital only. You have a high fever.” Lona started to fury.

Bobby shook his head weakly. “Bring me to my apartment only.” He reached into his suit pocket, tried to scout the car keys and handed them to Lona after he found her. Lona guides Bobby who walks staggered due to the influence of alcohol and also his fever is quite high.

After finding Bobby's car among the many cars in the parking lot, Lona sat him in the passenger seat. It would be easier to keep an eye on Bobby from there, just in case he does something in his unconscious. Lona immediately drives Bobby's car to the apartment according to the address given by Bobby.

Carefully, Hanna put Bobby on the bed and lifted his leg. After that he opened his shoes and coat and put his hand on his forehead again. It looks like Bobby's fever has not gone down, it is still as high as his temperature when at the club.

Lona rushed to the kitchen. He rolled up his long sleeve of his shirt, then cooked water to compress Bobby. He also made lemon water to remove his hungover so that his head was a bit better tomorrow.

Lona returned to the room. He loosened Bobby's shirt, then compressed his forehead and cleaned Bobby's body as best he could. Lona breathed as she stared at Bobby's face fixedly out of pity. But how else, Hanna had already made her choice to Liam from the start. The male enchantment is hard to get rid of by Hanna and Bobby is unlucky about it.
