Way Back To You

Way Back To You
Right Decision

“I think it's even good.” Lona sipped her drink.

“..he can take full responsibility for you, not just the baby.” he continued.

Both were in the usual cafe they went to. Hanna listened fully to what Lona said, and she slightly misunderstood it.

“What do you mean take full responsibility for me? I can take care of myself.”

“Hanna..” Lona folded both her hands on the table.

“...mau do not want, you will later form a family name. There's a father, that's Liam, then Mom, that's you and your son. You think, if you want to form a whole family, don't you have to have a bond?”

Indeed, Hanna had imagined if she and Liam would be together, but she did not think at all about the meaning of ‘ikat’ as mentioned by Lona. She thought raising a child was enough.

“Your togetherness will not be able to survive if there is no bond and feelings of love in each of you Han. From the feeling of love that will arise which is called commitment. How do you keep the commitment, yes, it depends on you later.”

Commitment? Tied to each other? The love? Is it true that a family needs it?

“By the way, I met Bobby at the club two nights ago.” Lona switched the conversation.

He knew Hanna was weighing what she was saying. Switching the conversation right enough so that he doesn't feel burdened.

“I think you promised not to go to the club again.” Hanna murmur.

“Office friends invited me, so, yes forced.” Lona Sahut.

“But that's not the point. I found Bobby heavily drunk, and he said your name. Has something happened between you two lately?”

“I was honest with him about the possibility that we were together there was no alias nil. I'm also honest that I've met my baby's father, so. I turned him down.”.

Lona nodded her head. The guess is right, Hanna is the one who caused Bobby drunk and also sick.

“When I met him, he was also in a fever and his clothes were a little damp. I thought maybe he was raining because it was raining, right?”

Indeed indeed. Bobby's raining, that's for sure. Hanna sees for herself how Bobby ran in the rain to avoid an uncomfortable situation between the two of them. But Hanna did not expect that she would go straight to the club, instead changing her wet clothes first.

“You how else Na..” Hanna folded both her hands.

“...I can't possibly give him false hope. After all, I actually rejected him from the beginning because I was not interested in him at all. But he who insists on being close to me continues, maybe he thinks I will melt him someday.”

“If I pity him, but your decision is right.” Lona nodded in agreement with what Lona said.

“Thus he can recover himself faster. That's a good thing.”

*

“Hanna wait..”.

Bobby half-runs after Hanna's step when she barely gets into the elevator. Hanna turned her head, waiting anxiously for what Bobby would do or say to her. Since Hanna rejected him, Bobby was a little different. He tends to be quieter but still does his activities professionally.

When Hanna replaces Hara, delivering financial statements to her room, Bobby smiles at her as if nothing ever happened between them. But Hanna knew, from the look in his eyes Bobby was still wrestling with his feelings. That's why Hanna is also trying to keep her distance and find a million reasons not to meet Bobby.

“What's up?” I hope you won't say things that make me feel more guilty about you.

“Ahh, I want to ask your best friend contact, his name...Lona right? Can?”

Lona's? Why would he ask for Lona's number? I don't think they're that close, but why is Bobby suddenly looking for Lona? But, thank God he only asked for Lona's contact.

Ahh, the time at Lona's cafe already told me that she met Bobby and maybe that's why she's looking for him.

“Good.”

Hanna sends Lona's personal contact to Bobby, after which Bobby goes straight back to her room. Suddenly in Hanna's head came up a crazy idea. How about I get Lona and Bobby? Both are equally alone, Lona is also good, as good as Bobby. But, if I did, would that offend Bobby?

Bobby asked for your contact and I gave him.

Hanna sent a message to Lona. When she finished texting Lona, a new message came into her phone. Hanna thought it was a reply from Lona, but it turned out to be a message from Liam.

Where are you? I'm outside your office.

Hanna frowning. Didn't he say that he had a lot of fans who admired him and was also a reporter who always stood by his camera? Was he not afraid of being caught by them? Why would he be able to wander around like this?

Don't need. I'll go home by myself.

Being picked up by Liam did make him feel a little happy. But just thinking about the impact caused by her fans if she was caught picking up Hanna made Hanna creep in fear. What if he gets caught and all his fans come in droves? Can be sure Bobby will scold him –or maybe fire him. And Hanna also doesn't like her quiet and comfortable life to be disturbed.

I've been downstairs, been there since. You want to throw me out?

Not driving away, grumbled Hanna. Does he not understand his profession? Maybe Liam is used to the relationship of people who ask for his signature or just take pictures with him. But Hanna is someone who has never experienced it.

Actually those thoughts were raging in Hanna's brain because she was idly typing the name Liam Andreas on the internet page this afternoon on her computer. And when he pressed the play button on one of Liam's videos that looked to be at the airport –entah was about to go where, there were millions of fans who hugged him, like ants rolling in a sea of sugar. Imagining it always leaves Hanna's introverted soul tormented and terrified.

I didn't throw you out. But are you sure your fans don't recognize you or are you sure no one is following you?

Hanna sighed, leaning her body against the elevator wall. Hanna and Liam have two different personalities. Hanna likes tranquility, and Liam likes fame and noise –bustinya they met first time in a noisy night club. Lona's words were very true and she kept thinking about it. There was no way the two of them could be together just because of the responsibility on their son. After the child was born, what? If they don't build up their feelings, it could be all done after the baby is born.

It’s okay.

From Lona. Hanna thought it was from Liam so she hurriedly stared at the phone screen. Why did he reply for so long? Is he angry? Or maybe someone is really following him?

After exiting the elevator, Hanna put her phone back in the bag and was surprised to find Liam in the lobby. Although her face was covered in a mask and she also used a hat to cover her face, Hanna still knew that she was Liam.

“Hei.” Liam waved his hand at Hanna.

“I think you've left.” Hanna approached doubtfully.

“Take it easy, no one follows me. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that my cousin works here, too. Ah, no, rather the owner of this company. You may have seen it.”

Whahuh? Hanna's face flushed instantly. What maybe the cousin he was referring to was...Bobby's? God, why is the world so narrow? But no, it's impossible. But...Bobby is the sole owner of the company besides his parents. Bobby's parents don't work here, so... really Bobby?

“I told him to come down, but he refused. He said there was a lot of work, so yes. I'll introduce you to him next time.”

“You mean..Bobby?” Hanna has to make sure. He did not want to second-guess and was drowning in curiosity.

“True. You ever meet that fucking guy? He always refused to meet me for busy, busy and busy reasons. Though my schedule is denser than him but I can still occasionally take the time to meet him.” Liam's murmur.

“But you call him Bobby, not Mr Bobby? You...near?”

Hanna's heart was beating rapidly. What if Liam finds out if Bobby likes him? Does he have to be honest? What if Liam is angry and the two are at odds?

“Ngak. It's out of business hours, so why call Mr?”

It was also good that his brain concocted reasonable excuses quickly. Seeing Liam's reaction which was only a beard, Hanna was greatly relieved. He can't tell Liam about Bobby's feelings for him, not now. Maybe someday there will be a good time to reveal everything.
