“Han, please stay here for a while, there's something I want to discuss.”
Hanna shut her back to her room after Bobby held her in the meeting room. She smiled slightly at Gita and Aditia who were saying goodbye to her to leave. He sat quietly again, waiting until there were four of them left, including Liam and Noah. Hanna took her breath, trying to stay relaxed and unaffected by the presence of Liam – and its appeal.
“Han, have you had lunch? We had lunch with yuk.” Take Bobby.
Hanna thought Bobby was going to ask her about the company's finances because she just gave her report two days ago. He did not expect, the thing he thought would be discussed Bobby is very important even no meaning at all. “Sorry Mr. Bobby, I'm busy.” Hanna stand. “If there is nothing to discuss, I will return to my room.”
“Hanna.” Bobby approaches her but Hanna reflexively steps back.
He doesn't want to be around Liam and the people around him, including Bobby. The wounds he had made were still bleeding in Hanna's chest, so it wasn't easy for Hanna to get back as close as she had been to them. Imagining how ridiculous and low he was before the two of them often made Hanna's blood boil.
“This is an office, so I hope you can behave normally like a superior to subordinates. If nothing matters, I go back first Mr.”
Hanna passes, no matter if Bobby still talks or not. He had betrayed Jhon after dating for three years, then he met Liam, but he was also as bad –even worse with Jhon. He has a crisis of confidence, not just in Liam and Bobby, but in the people around him. He does not believe in the name of love, responsibility, or sacrifice in a relationship now. There's no real thing like that.
“I've tried..” Bobby lifted his shoulders. “But your woman is tough.” Smoke again.
Liam agrees Hanna is a tough woman, but it's this toughness that makes her go crazy. He was afraid that Hanna would leave him before this was all over. She worries that Hanna's feelings for her will be extinguished before she finds the brain behind all of Hanna's nightmares.
Being a Brand Ambassador was just a cover for Liam. His main goal is to keep Hanna close without being noticed by others.
Liam stares at Hanna's room at a glance as she, Bobby and Noah decide to eat out of the three. Hanna was busy, she wasn't looking at him. It felt like Liam wanted to turn into Hanna's room, hug her there and not let go again. There were not enough words to describe Liam's longing for Hanna at this moment. His heart beat unnaturally while Hanna was around him, yet he could not reach her.
It feels strange, just a few weeks ago they told each other about the future, but now they are forced to part temporarily by circumstances. Liam is used to Hanna, he's used to waking up every night seeing Hanna's face. Every corner of their house left a memory of Hanna so firmly attached. But now, they were like two strangers who did not know each other.
The needle on the watch Hanna wore showed the figure of eight nights. Hanna stretched her body and neck. He didn't feel like he was doing his job until night. His room was empty and quiet, no one was with him overtime. Hanna looked outside, a little relieved when the lights in some other department were still on. That means he's not alone.
With a soggy step, Hanna climbed the stairs to the rooftop with bread and mineral water she bought from the minimarket near the office. There, he sat while staring at the thousands of stars scattered in the sky. She looked at her stomach that was starting to bulge and stroked it gently. “Are you cold? The wind is pretty strong, right?”
Hanna took a long breath. The night wind that blew a little fiercely blew his hair away. It would be a lie if he said he didn't miss Liam. When he saw Liam, his knees were shaking and he wanted to hug Liam, but he realized that Liam had thrown him away for his own ego.
Plin plan's? It does. Hanna also agreed she had no stance when it came to Liam. Despite being repeatedly hurt by Liam, Hanna also realizes that there is still a place in her heart inhabited by Liam, there was still a gap there for the man to be able to enter back into his heart.
I don't know what Liam's attraction is, I don't know what the charm is so that Hanna can be half crazy like this.
“Where are you? I'm in front of your office.”
Hanna was silent for a long time when Lona spoke to her on a phone call.
“Han, you heard right? I'm already under.”
Hanna put back the bread she was going to eat. It's not good to let Lona wait for him for long. For the past few days Lona looked after her, she had always stayed at her house so that she would not be lonely and not always cry. Hanna owes him a lot.
As she twisted the body, Hanna sculpted. All his joints were lunglai staring at someone wearing a black robe standing in front of him, watching him behind his veil and sunglasses. Hanna shuffled, her heart galloping fast. His entire body began to be filled with a hot sensation by his own fear.
“Ka...You who?”
The person behind the black cloak did not reply. He stretched his neck, then approached Hanna.
“Don't approach.” Hanna's tears are pouring in. “Don't hurt me.” She begged.
Hanna continued to incline back slowly, until her body was attached to the one meter high barrier. Hanna circulated her gaze, trying to see who knew she could get help out of no one. But who's on the rooftop of this high-rise building tonight? there was only him and someone before him.
The glove-equipped hand gripped Hanna's neck firmly. Hanna grimaced in pain, her body curving following the height of the building barrier. He hits the hand with his diminishing strength and tries to take his grip off Hanna's neck, but he can't take it off. Now half of his body was already leaning out of the perimeter wall.
Hanna was crying in fear. “Ja..don't.” She begged. Hanna kept trying until her phone and the plastic bag she was holding fell down. He did do it on purpose, that was all Hanna could do, hoping that the security guards below or whoever it was saw were facing danger up here.
“To..long...Don't.”
Hanna pleaded with tears that kept falling down her face. He does not beg for himself alone, but also for the baby in his womb.
Hanna's eyes were closed, her hands were wildly trying to reach something but could not. Hanna's breathing began to wail especially as the oxygen supply slowed down towards her brain. Hanna's body temperature was rising, her heartbeat was racing. Hanna's face was as white as cotton, slowly the grip of her fingers from the strangling hands filled her neck starting to slip –and lunglai.
Lona, who was pacing back and forth in front of the office building where Hanna was working, was shocked when a cell phone and a plastic bag fell almost on her. A security guard at the front post also came to him out of curiosity. Lona looked up while cursing, but she immediately cried out hysterically to see someone almost fall from the top of the twenty-five-story building.
“There is a person who..” he pointed to the top of the building.
Wait, it's like Hanna. Lona looks at the dropped object and immediately recognizes Hanna's destroyed mobile phone case. She knew it belonged to Hanna, because she and Hanna were wearing a casing couple.
“Not possible.” Lona. “Hanna...” strangle Lona panic.
He ran quickly with several other security officers. Lona folded her hands together, hoping to be anxious for Hanna when she was already in the elevator. This elevator even felt to be moving very slowly just to reach the twenty-fourth floor. They stormed out when the elevator stopped, but they still had to climb the stairs to the rooftop.
“Hanna..” Lona screams hysterically, finding Hanna's body on the floor.
“Call ambulance.”.
Lona's screams filled every corner of the place. Lona sobbed –fear, looking at Hanna who was bleached like cotton. Hanna, hang. Hang on Han, I'll save you. I'm gonna save you. “Hanna wake...”.
