12. An Unreal Feel

“Kak Kaiser's.  What will happen to the fate of the child?  Will Kaiser really take care of him?”  I asked Kaiser after returning to the base.

After the loss of his mother, there will be no one to take care of the child.  Yes even though from the beginning, the mother was only the Avatar Autumn Lily in disguise.  The boy's real parents had died a long time ago.

Kaiser then smiled at me and rubbed my hair.  This person, for some reason really has the same character as Kak Faridh.  I would not hate him if he was treated like a child.

“It seems very nice, but unfortunately we have to keep our identity as a secret.  So, that's an impossible thing to do.”  Kaiser answered my question.

“Lantas, will we abandon the child?”  I asked him again.

I saw, Kaiser sister once again smiled and then said, “Deliver everything to the experts.”

“Original?”  I said with astonishment.

“Professor Melisa who is connected with my fansite members who will take care of everything.  Of course Professor Melisa also kept her identity secret inside the fansite.  Worst of all, he will be treated in an orphanage with the help of fansite funds until the child can stand on his own two feet.”

With Kaiser's reply, at least my heart has felt a little relieved, although there are still disturbing feelings.  I momentarily doubted the decision to finish off the mother.  Basically, Autumn Lily's actions in the guise of the mother were only self-protection in order to protect the child who was about to be killed by the thugs.

He was not wrong at the time.  To me, those thugs are indeed worthy of death after without a doubt they intend to kill the mother-daughter couple who have nothing wrong.

“Kaiser, it seems you were right.  The last attack carried out by Autumn Lily was to target the family who hired the thugs who intended to kill the boy.”  Suddenly, Professor Melisa's words blew away my daydream.

I also looked at the computer panel that was being noticed by Kaiser and Professor Melisa.  I watched on the screen, a news about a huge bang suddenly heard in a house at night which was located in an elite housing complex.  After being examined, one family who was a well-known mafia family in the city of Jakarta was killed in it due to poisoning.

After Professor Melisa took a deeper look at it through video footage of small, fly-sized drones scattered all over the city, it was unmistakable, that family, exactly the child, was, who'd hired the thugs before.

The news is a bit vague, but it is reported that the alleged poison is in the form of yellow powder that is very deadly if sucked.  It was Autumn Lily's poison.

Maybe because my gala was clearly plastered on my face, Kaiser's sister smothered my shoulder to encourage me.  He also said,

“Adrian, you know, is the wrong attitude if you hate too much the avatars who did the damage?”

However, what Kaiser's sister said, was precisely a very emotional word in my heart.

However, Kaiser only smiled in the face of my immature attitude while tightly grasping my shoulders.

“Look, a novelist who chased a deadline to stay up late working on his novel at night but suddenly turned off the lights and once his computer came back to life then he checked the results of his typing, and then he checked the results, it turns out that some of the typing results are not stored by the Microsoft Word autosave program.  What do you think will happen if he curses his Microsoft Word app?”  Ask Kaiser to me that I don't understand what he means.

“The guy must be crazy.  What's the point of berating inanimate objects that have no feelings?  He should have scolded the provider or the creator of his MS Word right?”  I also answered that question.  At the end of my sentence, I finally realized.  Kaiser's brother is analogizing my current state to that of the novelist.

I also kept quiet in shame.  However, once again Kaiser tightly grasped my shoulder as he said,

“Of course the same thing for the opposite.  Don't sympathize with avatars if they seem to be doing something good because it's just something in their program.  In the end, they are no different from applications on a computer or smartphone.  There is no point in putting feelings into something you don't think.”

Those words from Kaiser Brother actually pierced into the heart.  Apparently, I can't hide anything from Kaiser.  In an instant, Kaiser sister was able to feel my turmoil after seeing firsthand what happened to Autumn Lily.  True Kaiser said, Autumn Lily only behaved so because it affected the memory of her host, the original mother of the child.

Again, the avatars are just a part of the game characters, one of the few computer programs where the feelings they seem to show are only part of the deepest feelings of the human being they mimic.

Everything, is unreal.

“Adrian, it's night.  You have a lecture tomorrow, right?  We go home first.”  The words of Sister Syifa then made me aware of a time that had been so long gone.

Professor Melisa also asked me to return a temporary bracelet to be installed side avatar, Sly Dark, in order to further upgrade the power of the Arjuna Avatar.

I asked them why they did not do the installation of side avatars in the past.  Apparently, the installation of a new avatar side can be run when the main avatar is activated and the new main avatar can be activated when it manages to find the master, which is me for Avatar Arjuna.

Then, I asked, why did they not use the bird cage equipment like what Kaiser Kak used when capturing Sly Dark to lock up 3 potential side avatars for Arjuna Avatar long before.  Why did they just annihilate all the avatars they captured.

Ah, those three are the maximum number of side avatars an avatar can have.

And for this question, apparently the tool was developed based on the framework of a gamma ray energy trapping device developed by Professor Melisa's Team in which Nafisah is in it.  Professor Melisa and Kaiser developed it as an avatar enclosure.

However, due to the instability of the tool, the tool is only able to lock the avatar for approximately 12 hours.  Therefore, Professor Melisa also had to rush to start the installation process tonight.  It seems that tonight, neither Professor Melisa, nor Kaiser, should stay up late in the lab.  In addition, there is also a factor of the amount of electrical energy needed so that the ends return to the budget problem.

At about midnight, at 23:36, the first day of my visit to our secret lab headquarters ended.  Right now, there was nothing else I could think of other than my soft pillow at home.
