14. Gaia's Repulsion

“That cold-hearted trash, Kaiser Dewantara, remains fine using the Avatar Bomber, even though it was that monster that had claimed the life of Kak Andina, his fiancee, just a week before their wedding plans.”

During my journey back to base with Judith, my thoughts could not be separated from what Judith had just revealed to me.  If it was me, if the avatar I was using was Avatar Freeze who had taken my brother Faridh's life, even if it was for the sake of saving Brother Syifa, would I be fine?

Arriving at the headquarters, I saw Kaiser Brother along with Professor Melisa welcoming us.  Apparently, Professor Melisa just finished her course on campus and rushed here for a demonstration of my Sly Dark avatar.

Kaiser began to give his directions.

“Remember, Adrian.  Although avatars are now very difficult to trace its existence because it is hiding by infiltrating among humans where both their morphology and physiology are very similar to humans, there are several ways to distinguish it from normal humans.”

“First, they begin to enter the world through the strongest gamers who play that avatar on a night of disaster.  Therefore, the rankers and the people around them were the most suspicious.”

Kaiser's sister began her conversation.  Hmmmm?  Ranker is the most suspicious?  Hearing Kaiser's words just now, I immediately stared at Kaiser's sister.

Kaiser returned my gaze with a smile on the corner of his mouth saying, “That's right, Adrian.  I could have been one of the avatar monsters, you know.”

Hearing that, I almost laughed out loud if it were not our first official meeting.  I'd bet eating noodles through my nose if the person in front of me was really an avatar in disguise.  How could Kaiser's kind-hearted and always troublesome brother notice me this is one of those monsters.

Everyone in this room must have thought so too.at least that's what I thought until I turned to Judith.  It seems Judith really believed Kak Kaiser's joke.  In fact, how much did he hate his own brother?

I was actually also curious about Judith's story about humans who had been imitated by Avatar Bomber namely Andina before finally being made one of the avatar bracelets by Kaiser.  But let's ask that to Kaiser sister the other day.  Today focus on the lecture given by Kaiser Brother first.

“Secondly, at the moment of being angry, the emotions of the avatars are so out of control that they will tend to commit excessive violence.  Therefore, we must always monitor cases of violence that are happening in the community.  There is a chance, if the perpetrator of violence is one of the avatars in disguise.”

Basically when mimicking humans, avatars will have the exact same body shape and physiology to their minimized host bodies, including their memories.

But strangely enough, any access from the most profound memory to the host or in other words a memory that gives the host a traumatic feeling, is, it will have a very stable impact when the avatar in the human form experiences events that stimulate the memory sticking out to the surface.

“Three, the avatar in his human body cannot age.  For this last bit of information, we've actually been working with civilians through my fansite for the first year to find suspicious people.  Unfortunately it was suddenly banned about 4 years ago for violating human rights.  However, of course I am sure that the avatars that sneak among humans are the ones who masterminded it.”

According to Kaiser, the third case is the most useful now after 5 years to identify the existence of avatars, especially for avatars that mimic children and adolescents.  That is because in those times, it will be clearly visible changes in their physical shape especially after 5 years have passed.

“Sisa 27 of those who have not been caught.  A little more, the problem of the Hoho game disaster will be resolved before the count of 2000 days it will end.”  Then Professor Melisa spoke.

“Oh, that is the countdown to the time limit the avatars can be in the real world.  Through this time, the repulsion will work to eliminate entities that are in the wrong space and time.”

A woman's voice answered my question.  But who?  The woman in the room right now was only Professor Melisa and Judith who clearly did not belong to either of them.

Then I saw the changing bracelet that Kaiser's sister wore.  From there, a hologram appears in the form of a woman in her twenties.  The hologram waved his hand and greeted me kindly.

“Hai, I'm Andina Roselia, ah, wrong, I mean Avatar Number 7, Avatar Bomber.”

I saw Judith immediately leave a place in the corner of the room where she was studying furiously.  He seems to hate that figure a lot.  She had mistakenly introduced herself as Andina.  Could it be that the figure he was showing at the moment was Andina, whom Judith said was Kak Kaiser's fiancee who died a few days before their wedding?

Kaiser once said that he also had people he liked.  Although Kaiser said so, I have never seen him near or on the phone with any woman other than for his work.  Does that mean that the female figure Kaiser meant was his dead fiancee?

If so, then Judith is wrong.  No one loses Andina more than Kaiser himself.  He just doesn't show his feelings to people and bears his own burden.   If so, then in the smile that Kaiser always showed, hidden the profound pain that he had endured for the past 5 years.  That's my hero, he's a tough guy.

Scroll around, and then I found the expression of Professor Melisa.  I can understand why Judith hated the Avatar Bomber so much that it showed Andina.  But why did Professor Melisa also show such a sad expression?

But let's leave out who Andina was first about the information brought by the Avatar Bomber more surprising than that.

I also asked about the information conveyed by the Avatar Bomber.

“If so, don't we bother to search intensely for the avatars?  We can only defeat those who do damage.  Because in the end, when the countdown ends, all avatars will be eliminated by gaia force.”

I saw instantly that both Kaiser and Professor Melisa were massaging her forehead with complicated expressions on their faces.

Professor Melisa also said, “Adrian, have you learned correctly how gaia force works?”

I paused for a moment to recall the gaia system lessons I had learned in High School.

“If it is not wrong, if there are entities carried over in different time and space, then one of the gaia forces called butterfly effect will work on it.  In order to avoid the occurrence of space and time paradox deviations, the part of space and time that has parallel entities will be destroyed.”.

Instantly I gasped.  I just stepped on my own speech mine.  I also realized at that time about the stupidity of my speech just now.  If the avatars were not immediately exterminated before the limit of gaia's repulsion tolerance ended, the earth in space and time we currently occupy would be subjected to mass destruction by gaia's repulsion.
