29. Beautiful Times Playing Games with Kak Faridh

That night I had a dream.  Dreaming about a good memory of me with Faridh's brother in his life.  The first time I played Hoho games.  It was about 6 or 7 years ago when we just got to know Hoho games and enjoyed them with all our heart before Professor In Gu sabotaged them and made them a terrible disaster unforgettable.

“Sister, Brother, Brother Faridh, yuk play Hoho game yuk!  Teach me how to play.  I promised you today I'd teach it to me.”  Rajukku to Kak Faridh while showing my face that looks plain.

“Duh, my cute sister.  What can I do.  Let's play a round.”  Said Kak Faridh while leaving his textbooks which he was reading seriously.

Faridh began to activate his computer screen and connect it with two capsules where the game's Hoho player connects his consciousness into the virtual game.  I see there are 2 options on the game on the computer screen.

The first is a tutorial option where both players play the game privately where without presenting the game host of the AI system, without being recorded for recording to the public, and without being recorded.

The second is the official option where the game will be guided by the game host played by the AI system where it will be shown to the public and also recorded its score for ranking in determining the ranker title.

I see, Faridh chose the tutorial option.

“So my sister wants to choose which avatar?”  Ask Faridh to me.

“Hmmm, which avatar is it?”  Confused words.

I saw the avatar list available to me.  Apparently the system turned off the series numbered avatar 1 – 29 for me.  As for the series number 30 avatar option, I can use it.  But strangely enough, the series numbered avatars below 31 and 32, also turned off the system.

Based on the system tutorial, it is natural that someone will have a matching avatar level in sequence, that is, if for example the smallest avatar number he can use is 30, which is the smallest avatar number, then automatically the person will also be able to use an avatar numbered series 31 – 99.

But in the application, there is actually no such player.  There is always an avatar with a serial number larger than the smallest serial number that can be played by a player who is not suitable for use.  There was even the case of a player suitable to use the Avatar Number 2 Raging Fire, but it was not even suitable against the Avatar Number 99 Moon.

In my case, the avatar I could play was only 47 pieces with the smallest number being 30.

“Hahahaha, apparently my cute sister is confused yes.”  Brother Faridh laughed with excitement as he rubbed my hair, looking at my confused expression choosing an avatar.  Faridh really spoiled me at that time even though my age was arguably not too young anymore at the age of 12 years.

Kak Faridh explained that Avatar Jack Tornado is one of the avatars favored by players because it is a flying type avatar with very fast movements, the second fastest after Fast.  Therefore, this avatar is a bad type of opponent for both close and long distance fighters.

“But Adrian, each avatar also has its own weaknesses.  Rather than explain, let us practice directly.  If so, you will use Avatar Number 67 Autumn Lily.  Hows it?  His number is twice as large as your avatar so practically your avatar is much stronger than him.  Didn't you?”

I just nodded innocently at that time towards Kak Faridh's statement without knowing Kak Faridh's hidden scheme in pranking his innocent sister.

After that, Faridh and I entered our respective gaming capsules and connected our consciousness into the game.  In an instant, I was already in a virtual world.

No, this feels different.  I could vaguely still feel my body sleeping in the capsule.  However, when I moved both of my hands, it felt different.  I obviously felt silent, but on the other hand, I was moving.

A body sensation that I felt so strange.  I clearly felt my skin being replaced by chunks like metal but soft.  How do I explain the sensation when I touch something?  Which obviously feels very different when I use my real body.  The sensation of vision and hearing was quite strange as looking from inside the TV screen out and hearing something from the rustling walkie-talkie.

Is this some kind of impulse through the brain from other sources of stimulation outside the sensory and motor nerves?  No, it's probably some sort of pseudo-effect of neural stimulation just like we dream.  This is wrong because it feels more real than a dream.

In addition, the body shape of Avatar Jack Tornado is slightly different from the human body.  I could feel the sensation of having a bird's beak with a thin, narrow tongue.  In addition, the presence of a pair of wings at the back makes me feel like I have a different balance point than usual.

Unfortunately, these wings are not something that can be moved, but something more appropriate if said to stick.  Also the presence of 4 pairs of jets under each wing, giving a strange sense of heat sensation that uniquely does not make me feel the burning sensation.

Fortunately, this avatar still has a hand that can be bestowed so the sensation is not so strange because the shape of the bird is usually his hand replaced by wings.  However, it still feels strange for me to open the palm that feels so inflexible joints.

I could see Kak Faridh standing in front of me right in the enemy area in the form of his Avatar Autumn Lily.  Then I looked to the left side.  There appears a count of time that is still in a stationary position at the number 60.  The atmosphere around was dark, although there was a kind of virtual person with a head, but the faceless look sat filled a kind of stadium watching us with faint cheers.

Moments later, the number 60 began to count backwards and when it reached the number 0, the bulkhead that separated the corner of my area from Kak Faridh opened and we started the fight.

I swiftly used my continuous collision stance which was without MP consumption to Autumn Lily.  But what is this?  Why is it that as time goes by, my speed slows down?  And what the hell is this?  My HP is down even without me being hit?

“Adrian, before a fight, is an absolute thing to know your opponent's abilities.  You should've used your laser beam style instead of a continuous collision.  If so, you may still have a chance to win.  Didn't you know that Autumn Lily's body is poisonous so it shouldn't be touched carelessly?”

Ah, I forgot about that and instead sillyly smashed into that poisonous body so many times.  My body should have weakened because I was already under the influence of poison.  I saw Kak Faridh then floated his leaf shot, then I lost in an instant.

I lost, but it was fun because my dear brother and I, Faridh, were finally able to play games together on the game he loved.

I'm satisfied, but it feels less.  That's because I haven't seen the greatness of playing the Avatar Freeze flagship.

I also sulked once again to my brother, “Kak Faridh, why not use Avatar Freeze to fight me anyway?”

Faridh then replied, “That's because you're still a beginner, my dear sister.  One day when you are quite good, Brother will be your opponent with Avatar Freeze flagship Brother.  But remember yes, in that moment, Big Brother will fight earnestly and will not budge in the slightest on you.”

Such was the answer given by Brother Faridh to me at that time.  But in the end, the promise was never fulfilled until the end of his life.
