35. Overlooked

There was an oddity in the form that the enemy with the face of Faridh appeared before them.  In his human form, he was able to transform only part of his right hand into the form of a monster.  That made Kaiser even more wary of her.

“Arjuna!  Wait what else?!  Fast run!”  Kaiser shouted in panic at the partner nearby.

“Eh?  But is Big Brother okay with that?  The Uwah!  Where Brother is left 9 percent more.  I salute Brother who can still stand in such a state.”  With her childish behavior, Arjuna commented on Kaiser's decision.

“Be quiet and just listen to my orders!”  Kaiser's tone of voice instantly turned increasingly cold.

It momentarily made Arjuna shivering at the figure of a colleague who was beside him.  He said, “Alright, I get it.  But remember that the body that Big Brother uses does not only belong to Big Brother.  If anything happens to Brother, Brother Bomber's body will also receive its impact.  So please be careful.”

As such, Arjuna left the fight site, leaving Kaiser and Freeze there.

Seeing that, Freeze was excited by his arrogance.  He thinks Arjuna ran away because he was scared of her.  But in truth, he was forced to retreat by the Kaiser himself.

“Heh, your partner escaped?  Is he too scared to face me?  Haha.  Very funny, he left you and ran away alone.”  With his arrogance, Freeze shouted to Kaiser as if he had outperformed the fight.

But that's actually not too far from the reality.  The current mana of Kaiser was left at 9 percent.  He was absolutely unable to issue a manager other than a style that relied on HP.  Just standing up was actually already an incredible thing for him under such circumstances.

Ideally, it takes a minimum of MP by 10 percent to be able to move the body normally and MP by 20 percent to be awake in a sane state of mind.  Perhaps Kaiser could still stand firm this time because of the strong determination possessed by him.  Or could it be that it was all just because he was actually an avatar monster so common sense that applies to normal humans, does not apply to him.

“Heh.”  Freeze laughs.

Not long after, he began to attack with his Needle of Ice.  Kaiser deflected every single one of those attacks with the Enigma sword in his hand.  Every time an ice needle hit it, its HP dropped and continued to fall.  Kaiser seemed to have been on his threshold.

Looking at Kaiser who only continued to survive without filtering back, Freeze was increasingly convinced that Kaiser was at his limit.  He then fully transformed into his monster form and then advanced immediately to hit Kaiser with his ice trident.

But beyond his expectations, Kaiser was able to withstand his attacks and instead used his own rhythm to counter attack him.

Freeze was pushed back.  It then made him angry which immediately made the weather around him to be very cold even though the hot sun ala tropical still visible at that time.

However, when the Kaiser was about to reach his limit, the host avatar came suddenly.

“Tidaaaaaaak!  It can't be like this!  Bomber had just fought Saber while Freeze was in his optimum condition.  It's a no-fuss fight!”  Cutely, the avatar of the host also makes a sound.

He is Dream, avatar number 100, an avatar specially controlled by the system during Hoho games that are devoted as a host and referee in the official fight of the players.

“Freeze curaaaaaang!  It can't be like that, ambushing an exhausted player.  Therefore, with the power of dreams, I will punish you.”  Said Dream stick with her special cute style.

As soon as Dream said that sentence, the entire sighting in the area around Kaiser and Freeze instantly changed.  The scenery, which was originally a campus street, suddenly turned into a fairyland filled with flowers and sweets.  The distance between Kaiser and Freeze which was originally no less than 2 meters was in an instant seen away.

Of course it was all just an optical illusion created by Dream.  The Kaiser in fact, remains near Freeze.  However, Freeze had been absolutely trapped into the Dream optical illusion and was unable to escape from it.  The more he walked away, the more he felt desperate for not being able to find a way out.

Dream is just acting as if being a fair referee of their fight to hide their cooperation relationship with Healer.

The healer in Kaiser's form immediately took advantage of the opportunity to escape from there.  As for Freeze, once he finally gave up pursuing Kaiser and returned to his human form, he was freed from the optical illusion of Dream.

But once Freeze returned to his senses, Dream as well as his optical illusion even including the prey, Kaiser, had disappeared from the place.  Freeze could no longer contain his frustration.

He felt eager to finish off all the humans he saw at that time, but he was detained for a greater purpose.  Because rather than the screams of death of ordinary people who had bored him, the despair of the Red Blood Hero betrayed by humanity that had been protected, more evocative of his taste.

And that desire was already halfway achieved once he managed to sneak up and take control of the important people in the government with his mind control and then manipulate the media to divide the opinion of the masses to attract support for peopleinsiders blaspheme the Hero of Red Blood.  He did not want to waste his efforts that had already gone that half way.

Unfortunately, Freeze had no idea that the Red Blood Hero was actually of his own kind who had no feelings which therefore, it was impossible for him to feel the despair that Freeze had expected.

That day, the fight ended where Kaiser's defeat was avoided thanks to Dream.

My feelings empty.  I was suddenly in a dark place.  I felt like I was plunged into the deep sea.  Strangely enough, I can still breathe.  Oh, apparently this is just a dream.

I faintly heard Faridh's voice in my dream.

“Adrian, remember to never run away from trouble, no matter how heavy it is.  Don't be a bad boy.  You should always dare to stare at problems and solve them with your own two hands.”

No, rather than a dream, it's like a memory of my past coming back open.  Advice Kak Faridh who always stay in the heart to never avoid problems.

“Aaaaaakh!”  I also woke up with a scream.

It then made Sis Syifa who had been guarding me next to the shocked.

I held my head because I was dizzy.  Finally, I realized that I had just fainted.  I tried to think back to what I had done just before I fainted.  Then I remembered it too.

I clearly remembered that time Kaiser's sister behind me while telling me to back off, but I refused.  Then suddenly I fainted and knew I was at the base.  Could it be that this was all Kak Kaiser's doing that had deliberately pulled me back because I was judged to be too weak?

I see, Kaiser Brother also came while bringing Kak Syifa dinner.  But looking at his face, I could no longer resist my frustration.  Then for the first time, I shouted out loud to my mentor,

“What for Kaiser, I am too weak?!  Am I completely useless at the battle Brother?!  Brother must have known how my grudge against that goddamn Freeze avatar monster was!  But why did Big Brother just make me faint and pull me back?!  Although life is at stake, I would be willing if with that I could avenge my brother Faridh on that damn monster!”

I said rudely to Kaiser.  However, instead of getting angry, I saw a sad expression on his face and it made me feel even more guilty for snapping at him that hard.
