37. A Quick Position

Since that night, Kaiser's brother disappeared to nowhere.  Even when I visited her house to take Judith, Kaiser was nowhere to be seen.  Even his S2 class mates including his supervising professor, no one knew of his whereabouts at all.  It had been 2 days, and there had been no sign of her anywhere.

“Did Kak Kaiser feel that hurt when I snapped?”

Imagining that, I clasped my hand tightly.

At night, I also dream.  No, rather than a dream, it may be closer to past memories that appear in the form of lucid dreams.

At that time, I was upset that my classmates did not trust me to represent the class for the school-level game Hoho in Porseni in Junior High School, then complained to Kak Faridh.

I complained how my class ended up entrusting someone who was good at tongue-licking but lousy as our class representative who ultimately made us lose in the first half of the match.  If it were me, I would have won the cup.

I who saw Kak Faridh also showed me a wave of disbelief in my words then invited him to see my development in playing Hoho game that he had missed so far since busy with the entrance exam of the State Treasury University for the sake of pursuing his goal of becoming a tax officer.

I chose the avatar number 32, one level above me, the Minotaur, as my opponent.

Come to think of it, though, this avatar is actually a bad opponent for me because it has a large hammer weapon that can be swung in all directions so I can not be attacked with the power of a head collision and easily also fend off the laser beam.

However, I had already thought of the right strategy to defeat him.  With the cue from Carnaval, the avatar of the system that was then acting as the referee, the match began and I began to launch my attack.

Instead of flying in the air, I chose to fly low parallel to the Minotaur's feet and then I targeted his feet to shoot a laser beam.  As great as he swings his hammer, of course he cannot swing it too low because it could hit the ground and turn into a bully of his movement balance.

That's where I'm aiming for his weak tiitk right at the foot that's unprotected by the hammer.  When his feet wavered, the great hammer fell upon himself.  Then with a head-on strike on his heart, I ended the fight with a resounding victory.  I managed to easily defeat the Avatar Minotaur.

After coming back out of the capsule, I looked at Kak Faridh with an arrogant expression.

“How Brother?  I'm great now, right?”  I said bragging to Brother Faridh.

“There are still many flaws everywhere, especially your fast-flying control problem.  Fortunately, you were lucky, but if you were a little wrong, you would KO yourself if you accidentally hit the floor.  But apart from that, you've improved a lot, Adrian.”  Faridh's sister smiled brightly while giving the compliment.

“But Adrian, do not be careless to always hone your skills.  The reason why you weren't chosen by your classmates, wasn't because you were weak, but rather that they didn't trust you.  So always show your sincerity with more practice, which is enough to give you the aura of a strong person so that no one else dares to oppose you standing in front.”

I also woke up from my dream after reverting back the words of Faridh.  Thas right.  The reason why Kak Kaiser pulled me back from the fight, was not in Kak Kaiser, but in myself who looked weak in his eyes.  I had to train even more so that I considered him strong enough to stand on equal footing beside him.

That night, I also made up my resolve to train as hard as possible.

I then asked AI5203 for help to be willing to provide simulation Hoho game to me to fight avatar number 1, Avatar Freeze.  AI5203 also supported him and starting that night, I did Spartan training with the aim of being able to stand parallel next to Kaiser.

However, things are not going as smoothly as I thought.  Right after the first round began, Freeze activated his Castle of Ice which made me instantly KO in just 0 seconds 35 milliseconds.

But I didn't give up.  I continued my spartan training in the second round.  This time I immediately attacked him with a stone arrow that I could quickly release so that he could not activate his Castle of Ice.  However, along with me firing the stone arrow, Freeze also attacked with his Needle of Ice which instantly tore my body apart and I lost in the time lag of 1 second 81 milliseconds.  At the very least, I had already increased my defensive pause on his attacks.

The third round begins.  As soon as I fired my stone arrow, I immediately maneuvered with my Sly Dark side avatar behind him, then charged at his blind spot.  But nevertheless, the,

“Sraaaak!”  Instantly I was pierced by his ice trident spear and I fell at a time lag of 3 seconds 15 milliseconds.  That is also good, because there is a development of time lag again.

But what is this?  Even after my Arjuna Avatar was reinforced with Sly Dark and Hard's side avatar, I still lost to him.  Though he is the Avatar Freeze which is still the same in the memory of Hoho game that has not undergone evolution.  Is this the difference in our ability?

But again, I didn't give up.  The Spartan training continued and continued.  Until the second night after that.  I was finally able to defeat 13 of the 20 Freeze player simulations provided by AI5203.  It made me proud and motivated me to continue to develop my skills.

That night, Kaiser finally came back after disappearing somewhere.  Along with her entry into the virtual training room, I won my fourteenth match against Avatar Freeze.  I'm happy because he came in to coincide with me showing my great figure.

But what Kaiser said to me, really disappointed me,

“Lho, Adrian, why are you wasting your time training to fight Freeze?  If it's Freeze, I can handle it with the Avatar Bomber.  Shouldn't you as my assistant practice defeating the Void?  Ck Ck's!  After all what the hell with this Freeze player simulation you chose?  Aren't they just weak croco-krocoes that not even one of them made the top ten?”

What the hell is with that haughty speech?  Doesn't he appreciate my efforts at all?  Why is it that from his mouth, being able to come out such a cold word?

“What does Kaiser sister know about me?!  I want to stand on equal footing with Brother, not as Brother's assistant!”  Then accidentally, I again threw my anger at him who finally just arrived back.
