141. Green Fog Forest Exploration

We began our investigation into the forest where there was rumored to be a green dragon corrupted by the devil as the cause of the appearance of this poisonous green mist.

Not long after we were deep enough down the forest, the wild animals corrupted by the green mist started coming towards us, ferociously wanting to pounce on us. We can easily beat them.

The problem was that some of the trees around us were also corrupted by the green mist and started to have their monster abilities by acting like carnivorous plants eyeing flies, and we're the ones acting as the flies here.

We also tighten our formation to defend ourselves from attacks by wild animals and carnivorous plants that attack us. We almost wiped out the entire forest.

But apparently, that's not the worst situation. As we went deeper into the forest, we came across strange people, no, they looked like humans, but they didn't seem like that.

Their skin is jet black with long fangs and a bright yellow iris color. They speak a language we do not understand. They immediately attacked us. But this situation is quite dire because our clothes are less likely to face their attacks are quite agile.

Apart from wild animals that only move with instinct so we can still face them almost on the verge of tightening our defensive formations, but the human-like creature in front of us today seems to also have high intelligence like humans.

They can think and do strategies that make us desperate. Our plague isolation suits became ragged and we were forced to move back from the place for now. Fortunately, the seven of us survived their pursuit.

We're rearranging plans on how to make anti-poison clothing more flexible in movement. Kaiser and Arskad helped us this time. Unfortunately, it actually makes the information gathering section a shortage of people because Uncle Arthur and Aunt Sandra as the most money-makers among us absolutely still have to continue their work.

Only Uncle Shou who was unemployed at the moment could be assigned to look for information. But with his grumpy war, I doubt he can carry out that task well. I also proposed to accompany Uncle Shou in gathering information. Information was mainly about the identity of the human-like creatures we encountered in the forest.

Found her. Locals refer to them as Hadaka, a ghost that always targets the human heart to eat. But obviously what we saw yesterday was physical rather than a ghost. It is said that if they come, then immediately sprinkle garlic on your yard because they hate the smell of garlic.

Isn't this very similar to the vampire legend? If you look again, their teeth are sharp like vampires, but their skin is fresh black, not like a pale vampire.

I also ended my investigation there because we could no longer find any meaningful information. What is clear, perhaps the information that they do not like the smell of garlic can be used as a reference to compile an effective weapon to defeat them.

They changed our clothes into a slim suit with a practical air filter in the mouth and nose. Then with additional information from me, we also modified a special weapon to face the creature hadaka.

Without waiting any longer that afternoon, we went back on our expedition into the forest. Deep in the forest, we finally came back face to face with these hadakas.

I started my attack by mixing the smell of garlic in the poisonous green mist which somehow seemed completely unaffected. But when they started smelling the garlic powder I was firing I mixed it with some herbs with the technique Silvia had taught me to amplify the smell of certain herbal products, the hadakas finally started to look in pain.

They moaned in pain as if the garlic was scraping their skin. I had misunderstood, not the smell of garlic that was harmful to them, I had said, but the substance in garlic itself that has a slight touch to their skin, can cause their skin to melt. They are distinctly different creatures from humans.

Seeing their movement weakened by feeling the pain, coupled with our movement that can now be more agile, thanks to the intervention of Uncle Dios and friends, thanks to the, we can easily cut down the hadakas.

Apparently, unlike the wild animals that are corrupted or that we term with beasts, after they are defeated and killed, they do not disappear into smoke or melt into disgusting liquid. Their bodies remain as they are like those of a dead human.

We continued our journey deeper than the forest. That's where we finally found the headquarters of the hadakas. We raided their headquarters, killing every one of them we met, no matter if it was children or other weak entities, it was war.

There is no specific evidence yet, but it is likely that they are the cause of this poisonous green mist or at least they are involved. Well, even if it's like a mistake, that's okay, besides they're just characters in the game world.

We ravaged the entire village. That's where we watched their new food while they cooked. It is true what the book says. Their diet is nothing but a human heart that they mix with green mist extract absorbed by the foliage, maybe as a complementary spice for them to enjoy the human heart like we who enjoy chicken with spices.

Well, even the passage of the book that says they are ghosts is a misnomer because they clearly have entities.

A long time ago we fiddled with the contents of their headquarters, the ground suddenly shook and the basement opened. Me, Uncle Shou, Uncle Dios, Brother Arskad, and Brother Kaiser went inside, while Uncle Arthur and Aunt Sandra stood guard outside in case anything happened.

It was in the lower room that we saw a green light that seemed to glitter. We also pay close attention to the green light source. Apparently, the light came from an oval-shaped, normal half-sized entity with green spots. It was a giant egg.
