101 Avatars

101 Avatars
17. Is the Feeling Real or Not?

I stared deeply at the anger behind Bobi's sad expression.  Ah, he seriously said that.  Not knowing what had happened, I asked.

“Why?  Isn't that the monster that kidnapped you and wanted to harm you?”

“You are wrong!  It was precisely the girl who had saved us when the fog was about to swallow us.”  Bobi answered straight to me.

“Girl?”  I was amazed by Bobi's call to the avatar monster just now, then turned to look at the monster.  In an instant, she turned into a girl figure in her twenties.

“You're not Fog's guy apparently.  You came to save them.  Then I'll leave them to you.  Return them to their families.”  In dying, the girl, no, the avatar monster, Avatar Sena said.

I saw Bobi immediately running towards him and then wiping it.  In his despair, he shouted.

“No, no, Ningsih, hang on!”

“I used to have a happy family.  The two parents who love me wholeheartedly, as well as the three older brothers who although sometimes nosy to me, but always treat me with affection.  Ugggh..”.

Red blood also flowed through the mouth of Avatar Sena in the form of the girl.  However, even in his condition, he continued his words.

“One day, my father accompanied a group of climbers to climb this mountain.  However, he never returned, even after ten days.  Worried, my three brothers caught up with him.  However, all three of my brothers disappeared with my father.  Because of the depression of losing my father and three brothers, my mother eventually fell ill and eventually died.”

Avatar Sena also reached into Bobi's cheek and smiled wistfully.

“I was stupid back then.  No, my foolish host girl, lives in regret.  That regret was then passed on to me.  Therefore, I don't want the same incident to happen again.  So please, you guys congratulations!”

In the joint, Avatar Sena turned her face to me.

“Hey, you're their friend and you're going to save them right?  Then hurry before..”.

“Praaaak!”

Before the Avatar Sena in the form of the girl finished her speech, the sudden mist formed pointed blades and then pierced and pulled her into the fog.  I didn't have time to react to save him.  I certainly prefer to immediately attract Bobi so as not to fall prey to the fog.

I just remembered something important.  What about the other hostages?  This could have been bad if they had been swallowed by the fog.  But apparently, Avatar Sena has prepared a prevention plan.  With the nest he made, the fog could not enter injuring the hostages.

I also pulled out my arrows.  Unlike usual where I shot three different arrows with elements of fire, electricity and stone, I only used one arrow, he said, namely my fire arrows to optimize my fire element attacks because I remember the weak fog against fire.

After doing a jiggle and gathering enough energy, I shot the arrow and,

“Puuush!”

Starting from the point of my shot then spread out for ten meters, the fog temporarily disappeared.  However, I saw that in a short time, the fog started to creep back towards us.  I then quickly lifted Bobi with my left hand and a dome-shaped nest containing people in my right hand and flew out of the fog area.

We survived too.  However, as soon as me and the hostages managed to escape the fog, the once-thick fog mysteriously thinned out and disappeared like it had never existed before.  No doubt, this must have been an avatar, but not Avatar Sena.

As I recall, Avatar Sena had said Fog.  If you revisit the power of the series number 13 avatar, the Avatar Fog, everything becomes suitable.  The existence of these thick fogs must be all because of his actions.

I again landed Bobi and the hostages on the nearest land.  However, not long after we landed, Avatar Sena reappeared before us, but in a strange-looking condition.  His body seemed to be coated by strange white threads of mist, and his eye condition was originally red, appearing white like the color of fog.

I also swiftly detained Bobi.  Not only this time because he was an avatar monster that could go berserk at any time, but plus now he was also in a strange condition.  Where could I let him go there.

However, I heard Avatar Sena say.

“Fog, I won't forgive you!  Until then, I will never attack humans.  I'd rather die than do it!”  Saying this, I saw him stab himself with his sharp claws.  He was finally crushed unceremoniously.

“No, Ningsih!”  Bobi shouted at the departure of Avatar Sena from the bottom of his heart.

There is nothing more I can do to calm my broken heart.  I just pressed Bobi's shoulder to calm him down.  After all what the monster did was just a stimulus from the memory of a girl named Ningsih.  There was not the slightest feeling from those monsters as they were indeed designed to have no feelings.  Everything is just a fake.

Moreover, if Avatar Sena had picked up a girl named Ningsih, he must have killed the girl as well.  At least, that's what I thought until I took the victims to a nearby settlement.  There, I met the girl whom Avatar Sena had captured and she was still alive in a fresh state.

“Ningsih?”  The shocked Bobi mixed happily and sentimental, immediately approached and grabbed the girl's hand.

“Ah, what is this?  Not polite!”

“Preaaak.”

The girl slapped her slap into Bobi's cheek, no, it is not appropriate to say the girl because it looks as if Ningsih has now begun to age into a mature girl at the end of her twenties.

“Ah, sorry, it seems I was wrong.  After I noticed, it turns out you're not him.  You are very similar to him, but he is a little younger.”

After hearing Bobi's words just now, suddenly Ningsih in front of me gave a shocked expression.  A moment later, he said.

“After losing my family, I sometimes went around Mount Suzana to look for the whereabouts of my father and brothers who disappeared there, hoping to find them again, even if it was just their corpses.  But one day, I found an eagle the size of a human, dying in that place.  At that time, I was amazed because apparently the eagle can talk like a human.”

Ningsih's expression seemed to soften as if feeling nostalgic towards what she said.

“He said, ‘Do not get near, or I can kill you, Man.’  I asked him why he was going to kill me.  The eagle replied, ‘That is not my wish.  It was something embedded in my program to immediately kill a most suitable human and then take their blood as data to mimic it.’ That was the answer of the eagle.”

I see, Ningsih was silent for a moment as if remembering that nostalgia back.  His eyes looked towards the ceiling then quickly focused towards us again.  He then continued.

“See he is dying so without a second thought, I hurt my hand and soaked his mouth with blood on my hand.  At first, I thought he was some kind of vampire who needed blood.  But the miracle happened too.  He just turned into a human being with the exact same face as me.  I named him Ningsih.  In return for saving her, she then promised to help me find my family on that mountain.”

His words surprised me.  So Ningsih's name was given and not from her memory legacy?  I then asked.

“Then what's your name, Mbak?”  I asked the woman who was at the age of almost half her baby.

“Oh, my name is Ningrum.  But Mas, aren't you hot in that costume?  Is that some kind of cosplay mimicking a Red Blood Hero?  Oh yes, come to think of it, Ningsih has not seen me for long enough.”

What the fuck?  So from the beginning, Avatar Sena never hurt anyone.  On that mountain, he was just about to save the victims.  I who knew nothing, then became the cause of his death?  So who is evil here?

However, in order to save the earth from the disaster of mass destruction, should not all avatars still be exterminated?  So, is this the right action?  Whether the avatars' feelings were real or not, I began to doubt them.
