124. Mirror Labyrinth

As soon as we entered the gate, there was a brilliant glint that dazzled my eyes.  As soon as the sparkle was over, it seemed that there was no one else around me.  The seven people who were with me earlier, disappeared mysteriously.  All around me, there were mirrors everywhere.  As soon as I woke up, I knew I was already inside a labyrinth full of mirrors.

I walked through the labyrinth filled with mirrors.  There were mirror images showing my face everywhere.  I ignored it and just kept going.  I was worried that the others would get lost because the map was currently in my hands.  I need to find another one soon.

I walked and walked, no longer interested in the reflection of my face in the mirror that I was tired of seeing.  But that's when I let my guard down.  If not for my sharp sense of hearing, perhaps I would have already been successfully ambushed by that monster.

“Cring.”  A strange rustling sound was heard.

One of my reflections was in the mirror, but unlike the others, his eye color was green, not only in the iris, but his entire eyeball, out of the mirror.  He ran towards me to attack me.

“Crang, crang, crang.”  The entire body of my doppelganger was completely similar to the mirror from the sound of the steps it released.

I fought with that doppelganger.  Unexpectedly, even though the sound of his reflection made a mirror-like sound, his body was not as fragile as a mirror.  His body was really hard to the point that my dagger became scuffed by it.

In the end, I was able to detect its weakness based on the reflection of the sound it produced which clearly showed the characteristics of the defect crystal at its weak point.  It was none other than the part in the area between his two eyes.  I also attacked that part and instantly the monster broke like a mirror and disappeared.

I walked and walked again.  This time, one of the mirrors showed me a view.  The view of my childhood playing with Kak Faridh and Kak Syifa happily.  I rode a four-wheeled bicycle specially designed for toddlers with Kak Syifa where it was Kak Faridh who pushed the bike to move.

A scene that is very nostalgic even though I myself have vaguely remembered it because at that time, I was only 3 years old.

However, again the three figures in the picture in the mirror came out and wanted to attack me.  Perhaps, because their short bodies correspond to the age of the bodies of toddlers and children in general, they are very agile, being able to jump in and out of the roof was enough to overwhelm me with them.  However, they were precisely an opponent that was easier to defeat than the first one before.

I continued the journey.  But this is not good.  Two of my ten daggers had been severely damaged from having to cut through the body of a monster so hard that it could no longer be used.  The violence of the monster body really gave a shock to my weapon.  Now only eight daggers are left and I must be really wise in using them.

Meanwhile, I could not use my rifle in the labyrinth because the momentum of the explosion of the rifle bullet could hit me or at least there was the labyrinth ruins that fell and then hit my head.  Long-range weapons are not wise to use in the labyrinth.

I walk and I walk.  Now, it was a first-day scene when my parents suddenly disappeared from the house with just a letter saying that they had divorced when I was only 3 years old, with a little mirror showing.  Seemed Kak Faridh hugged me and Kak Syifa who at that time was so fragile because of the sudden departure of our parents from home.

I was forced to run to hide towards each intersection of the labyrinth in turn in order to avoid the monster attack.  But something worse happened.  Every intersection I went to, one of the mirrors gave off the same scene as I had seen before, and then a new envelope monster reappeared through the mirror.

Unknowingly, there were already five envelope monsters chasing me.  I regret why I did not prepare a gun in my hand that could be used for medium-range attacks.

I panicked and shot around me with my rifle.  I was injured quite badly as some sharp mirror shrapnel also included the impact of the bullet that ill-fatedly bounced back, hitting my body.  However, the mirrors managed to break, and once the mirror broke, the monsters that came out of it were destroyed.

I'm powerless.  And what was more frustrating was that the broken mirrors were miraculously able to recover.  It was then that I saw a black robe and a white mask with two pistols and a bag full of bullets.

Whether this is luck or this is already the setting because in the game, no player will be sent to the fight without being given a weapon.  So if this maze also follows the concept of the game, then naturally there will be weapons.

One great discovery I have, apparently by not showing our faces in the mirror, monsters will not be able to make monsters from the illusion of one's deepest experience.

I, who had been seriously injured, then continued my journey limping with pistols on both sides of my belt.  Re-enter the road map.  Looks like the map still works well and shows you the way.  But damn, in the middle of the journey, the wind suddenly blew very hard from inside the labyrinth and then removed the head covering of my robe and threw the white mask from my face.

As soon as my face was exposed, a shadow of my dark time reappeared in the mirror, showing my weakness.  This time it's a scene where I hide under a capsule when my brother Faridh is savagely murdered by Freeze.

The figure of Freeze along with my brother Faridh came out of the mirror with his green eyes that blazing and then attacked me.  I dodged the attack while firing a gun from my left and right hands.  As soon as my bullets ran out, I went back to dodging his attacks while filling up the bullets.  Once I finished filling the bullets, I attacked again.

By re-utilizing my sharp sense of hearing, I tried to figure out where the biggest crystal defect in the two monsters was.  I found that, for the monster with the form of Kak Faridh, it was in the area where the human kidney was, while for Freeze, it was in the area of his right hand.

I opened fire on the area and the monsters broke out and disappeared.

Immediately I put back my black cloak hood and white mask to avoid the tere-spawn monster again from inside the mirror.  I walked through the labyrinth as the map showed me until at the end, I actually found the way out, the end of the labyrinth.  But as expected, the other six are not here yet.

Use my sharp ears to detect their presence.  But it was very difficult because the clattering buzz of the extremely noisy mirrors disguised their voices.  But after I concentrated more, at least I found one person.  That's Kaiser's sister.
