62. The Battle of MC Carnaval

“Hah, why suddenly?”  Judith immediately stood up while hitting the table because my words were too sudden just now.

I also added, “So, Zio whose sister Andina, is not worthy to be your friend?”

“Not so.  It could actually be.  Origin Zio also deigns.”  With his tsundere, Judith answered.

The answer was immediately called by Zio with a princely smile, “Thank you, Judith.  Please cooperate in the future.”

But what is this?  He's not doing damage in the city park, instead disguising himself as a magician and entertaining people?  What should I do if it's like this?  Will I have to go in there and suddenly point a gun at him?  If so, I will only ruin the Red Blood Hero's good name as his partner and could have been used by the disguised avatar monster in the police force to bring us down.

Beating avatar monsters was important, but maintaining an image in public was no less important.  Now, the atmosphere was not right to break through to it.

But I don't seem to have to wait too long.  Another magician avatar monster, Mistique, also appeared on the scene.  Maybe it was because of displeasure that Carnaval stole his identity as the avatar of the magician of the times huh, that's why he showed up?  Whatever it is, it's a good development.

It didn't take long for people to immediately realize that the figure who made a fuss and the figure they were currently watching was both monster avatars.  The crowd was immediately scattered to avoid the two non-human creatures.

“Bad you, Carnaval!  Why did you steal my identity as a magician avatar?!  And what the fuck is this?!  As a fake, why are your audience so much more?!  Stop all that!  I'm the only avatar who's supposed to play magic!”  Shouted Mistique loudly towards Carnaval.

It turns out my guess is correct.  Mistique showed up here on envy.  But in any case, I still could not get used to her tacky appearance by being clad in an unaesthetic color mixing between pink, purple, and black.  Hence, during the Hoho game first, I prefer using the Avatar Jack Tornado rather than the tacky avatar, despite having a better spec.

I heard, Carnaval responded to Mistique's provocation, “Ah, I didn't mean it that way.  I just saw the kids crying.  So I want to try to entertain them alone with my magic attraction.”

Utilizing those who were careless due to the interplay, I immediately gave an impromptu attack through my flagship Crusader sword attack.

“Slash.  Slash.”

My slash hit Mistique, but Carnaval was able to avoid it beautifully by jumping up the tree.  After that, the unexpected happened.  The atmosphere around me suddenly turned into a carnival world scene.  Just like Dream who each time leads a fight, bringing the avatars of fighters to the world of fairy tales, this time it appears is Carnaval with his carnival world.

Suddenly, Carnaval was shouting like he was presenting an event as an MC, “The audience all.  Welcome to the fight between Arjuna and Mistique.  Make sure you are at a safe distance while watching the fight.”

I see, the crowd that had scattered from the park due to the appearance of the two avatar monster figures, being pulled back by Carnaval's magical power to its original place.  They are pulled and forced to sit in a chair formed in the carnival world.  As if there was glue on their seats, they were simply unable to run away from the place.

Rather than the cries of cheers, what emerged from the captives on the bleachers were hysterical sounds and cries, especially the children who were frightened from facing such an unusual thing.

I want to immediately defeat both of them, but it seems Carnaval has special abilities inherited from the system so for now, I can't touch it.  Just like in the game, violation to the referee or jury is prohibited and if it is violated, then there will be a penalty from the system.

No one will know how these rules will impact the real world.  For now, let's focus on defeating the Mistique that's in front of me while thinking about how to break free from this carnival world that is absolute always gives an advantage to Carnaval.

However, my concern also arises because if in the game, an avatar is lost in the world under the control of the avatar system or the system itself if in tutorial mode, if in the game, then there will be the power of system restoration that automatically restores the avatar condition as before.

Don't tell me when I beat Mistique, she'll just keep coming back to life?  But for now, it's not a good time to think about it.  I have to fight against my enemy who is in front of it.

However, unlike in the game, the audience around this time was real humans instead of the faceless virtual beings provided by the system.  I must be careful in issuing attacks while also watching the opponent's attacks so as not to hit the hostages disguised as these spectators.  This absolute fight will be more draining both mentally and physically.

Previously, I had fought against Chainsaw, an avatar type numbered in the 40s.  I had also previously helped Kaiser Kak against Saber, the avatar type numbered in the 20s.  With Crusader in my hand, I should have been power-up and able to defeat this avatar number 30 in front of me, the series number 30 avatar, Avatar Mistique.

Avatars numbered in the 30s have the characteristics of a very aggressive attack with a remarkable impact.  Fortunately, the explosive power of their attacks was weaker than the series of avatar numbers above them.  And for Mistique, I had to be careful of her quick card shots coupled with her deceptive moves.  In the blink of an eye, he could have just stood in front of me and slit my throat.

First of all, I will activate Hard's side avatar as armor, then Crusader's holy light power at a minimal level to prevent the illusion of Mistique's eyes while preparing him to attack.  Then as a final combination, the sharpening of the sense of hearing by the Sly Dark side avatar to predict the direction of the enemy's attack.

It drains quite a lot of MP, but it is the optimal option to fight against an opponent who is always stealthily attacking.
