Death Flute

Death Flute
Happy Days on Ginseng Island

Ginseng Island which is usually always quiet and quiet, during the last month has experienced a change of atmosphere. Now there is always the sound of laughter and quarrels here and there. Even sometimes fierce. Flute grooves and harps almost every night sound melodious and beautiful. The sounds of the people training were heard every afternoon and evening.

Sen Khang and Chien Wan who train in far-flung places have made rapid progress. About three days once the God of Medicine came to them to give them a clue. However, the two of them were not allowed to meet.

In the morning and evening, their meals are delivered by Ouwyang Ping and Kui Fang. Of course, the God of Medicine knew their respective relationships, so the task of delivering food was delegated to their respective partners. The task of delivering food to Sen Khang fell on Ouwyang Ping. And Chien Wan was delivered by Kui Fang. They can steal time for each other.

Sometimes Siu Hung goes with the two girls. He alternated with them. But the most frequent one was with Kui Fang. The purpose of the girl is the beach. Siu Hung is crazy about the beach. He enjoys training in the sand.

Sen Khang is practicing the last of the Science of Storm Blows. It was late afternoon and it was almost time for dinner. He immediately finished his training. His movements are so steady and perfect. The Medicinal God was very proud to see the progress of the young man.

At the end of the exercise, he saw Ouwyang Ping climbing the path to his place. He immediately stopped his training. He immediately approached Ouwyang Ping.

“Ping-er, give me your hand!” sen Khang exclaimed as the girl almost reached her place. The road to go is pretty steep.

Ouwyang Ping extended his hand which was immediately greeted by Sen Khang. The young man pulled him up. Actually without any help the girl was able to climb on her own. But Sen Khang never missed the opportunity to just hold the girl's delicate hand.

“Sister Luo, I brought you some food,” Ouwyang Ping's smile. He put down his food basket.

Sen Khang smiled back. “Thank you, Ping-er.”

Then they sat down near the cave on the cliff wall. Sen Khang used the cave for shelter on rainy days, or at bedtime.

Sen Khang opened the food basket and looked at the contents.

“I make cauliflower chalices and stir-fry fish with chives. Kui Fang made a mantou without fill for Sister Wan and fill the sweet beans for all of us.” Ouwyang Ping chuckled. “Yang for Sister Wan he made tasteless. She herself also ate it.”

Sen Khang laughed. “He wants to feel the same way as Chien Wan. That girl really loves Chien Wan.”

Ouwyang Ping shifted his gaze.

“I'm sorry,” murmured Sen Khang. He was sad because it seemed that the girl had not completely forgotten her past.

Ouwyang Ping's smile came back. “Why apologize? Its alright. What you said was right. They are indeed a compatible couple,” he said softly. “Already. You better eat. The vegetables are not cold. Hopefully still pretty good.”

“Of course!” Sen Khang picked up the chopsticks and began to taste the cauliflower. “Wah, so good!” his praise. Then he tasted the fish cooking leeks. “It's also delicious! Well, you're really good at cooking!”

“You always say that every meal!” sergeant Ouwyang Ping is ashamed.

“That's right, really. Whatever cuisine you make is always delicious.” Sen Khang looked at Ouwyang Ping with a radiant face. “You will be a good wife..”.

Ouwyang Ping blushed, then lowered his head. Sen Khang's praise embarrassed him, but also pleased him. His chest rumbled and his face was red. “You could have...,” murmured.

Again Sen Khang felt very fascinated. Earlier he said, ‘you will be a good wife’, inwardly he added, ‘to me’. He was eager to stay beside Ouwyang Ping. He wanted to look at her every day, protect her when she was afraid, embrace her when she was sad, enjoy her cooking, listen to her sweet harp game.

Harp game....

“Ping-er, I have a request. Will you grant it?” usik Sen Khang soft.

Ouwyang Ping raised his head that had been subdued since earlier. “What request, Brother Luo?”

“Will you pluck a harp and play a song for me?” pinta Sen Khang's. His eyes filled with deep hope, mixed with abundant rays of love.

Ouwyang Ping did not expect Sen Khang would ask him to pluck a harp. It was both his favorite and his skill. Of course he doesn't mind. He nodded. “Alright, Brother Luo. You just listen while eating.”

Sen Khang continued eating and saw the girl getting ready.

The sound of the tinkling of the harp fills the silence of the island. The song Ouwyang Ping played was so beautiful and melodious. The song is not a song that shows sorrow, but a song about peace of heart. At this time the mood of the girl was filled with peace and she wanted to share this peace with others. Especially Sen Khang.

Sen Khang looked at him, noticing the smoothness of Ouwyang Ping's fingers while plucking the strings of the harp. He permeated the beauty of the song not only through the ears, but also with his soul. He felt happiness and peace.

“Kak Wan!”

Chien Wan turned her head and saw Kui Fang walking towards her. The food basket was in his hand. Soon he approached and replaced the girl with his basket.

The two sat on the sand of the beach, overlooking the open sea. The orange sun is rounded over the ocean forming a large, smoldering ball that is ready to submerge itself into the ocean. The view of the sunset on Ginseng Island is amazingly beautiful. They never get tired of looking at it.

Kui Fang opened his basket. He brought the same food as Ouwyang Ping brought to Sen Khang. But he knew Chien Wan almost never touched his side dish. No matter what a meal is, it means nothing to Chien Wan. For whatever food he feels is always the same; bland.

Chien Wan ate the mantou without the contents that Kui Fang brought. The delicious side dishes of Ouwyang Ping did not cause his taste at all. He was happy to just smell it.

“Why do you only eat mantou, Kui Fang?” chien Wan asked in surprise to see that the girl was only eating mantou without touching the other side dishes.

Kui Fang smiled. He would never say what he did. He wanted to feel the same way as Chien Wan as proof of his love for the young man. But he did not want the young man to know. Chien Wan would definitely reprimand him because he disagreed.

“I don't like fish, Brother.”

Chien Wan did not ask again.

“Kak Wan, what's up?” kui Fang asked in surprise to see the young man smiling to himself. He could not hear the clinking of the harp because his hearing was not as sharp as Chien Wan.

Chien Wan shook her head. “Not what.”

Kui Fang took a deep breath. “Kak Wan, I want to ask you something. Can, right?”

“Ya.”

“What Sister Wan still... have a certain feeling on Ping-er?” ask Kui Fang. His face was slightly red when he asked that. His voice stammered and he blushed.

Chien Wan was stunned to hear that question. Kui Fang already knew about his past because Meng Huan told him. But they never talked about it once. He realized, however, that the girl deserved to know everything, including her feelings.

“Ping-er is my sister, Kui Fang. Whatever happened in the past, all that means nothing to me.”

“But...” Kui Fang looked at the young man fretfully. “That memory is not easily forgotten. Moreover, beautiful memories.”

Chien Wan nodded. “That memory will always be stored in my heart. But that doesn't mean I live in it.”

Kui Fang looked down.

“Do I have to apologize?” Chien Wan asked subtly.

Instantly Kui Fang gasped. He shook hard. “No! I don't want Sister Wan to apologize. Sister Wan is innocent to me,” she said. He approached and spread his head on the young man's shoulder. “I'm the one who's guilty of offending the past. I'm sorry, Ka..”.

Kui Fang's words were interrupted as Chien Wan's fingertips covered her mouth.

The girl raised her head so they looked at her. For a while they looked at each other without saying a word. Only their eyes revealed everything that could not be said. It was as if time stopped turning.

“Kakak Ouwyang! Kui Fang!”

Suddenly Siu Hung was in front of them, deciding the intimacy between the two. Kui Fang blushed and quickly decided his gaze. Chien Wan turned her head and saw Siu Hung frowning near them.

I don't know where Siu Hung came from and how he got there without sounding his movements. Siu Hung has been surprising lately. His movements were unexpected and fast.

“Siu Hung!” kui Fang.

“Where are you from?” ask Chien Wan.

Siu Hung laughed. “Shock, yes? Shocked, huh?” godanya naughty.

Chien Wan shook his head to see his behavior.

“You're eating, huh?” ask Siu Hung cheerfully. His eyes glanced at the many remaining side dishes. “Kok side dish not eaten, anyway?”

Chien Wan and Kui Fang looked at. Since then they only eat rice with mantou only.

“You vegetable is bland, right? But why is Kui Fang also not eating, anyway?” Siu Hung made a mouth. “Oh, I know! Kui Fang wants to adjust, right? Let us both feel the situation like Brother Ouwyang!”

Immediately Kui Fang flinched with a flushed face.

Chien Wan was stunned. Really it?

“The weather must be exhausted. If not, then it would be a pity!” Siu Hung immediately sat down near them and took out a side dish bowl. “Make me, huh? Later let me tell the others that this is all you eat!” he said with naughty eyes.

Chien Wan chuckled. “Ya already.”

Kui Fang did not dare to look at Chien Wan. Siu Hung too, he wrote in his heart. Why did he guess exactly how he felt?

Siu Hung started eating. “Uh, I'm hungry once!” he muttered with his mouth full. “Grandfather did not say that the practice of Celestial Light Science could make people hungry!”

Chien Wan was interested to hear it and looked at the girl with interest. “Grandfather taught you Celestial Luminosity? It's a very difficult science.”

“Indeed. He didn't want to teach me because he said I was stupid. But I'll prove I can!” siu Hung said in flames.

“Previously Grandpa said he would teach me. I refused because I was not interested. May you succeed,” Chien Wan said in a sincere tone. He was glad that his grandfather had found the right person to inherit the Celestial Drum Science, although of course he wondered why his grandfather did not wait until A Lee was an adult.

“Of course!” Siu Hung said confidently. “I'll make it! I am so smart!”

Chien Wan and Kui Fang looked at her while holding a smile.

Siu Hung continued eating quickly. Soon the dishes were slippery. “Ah, full!” muttered satisfied. He took out the basket and brought it. “Let me take this home. You guys just chat here.” He flashed away.

Chien Wan and Kui Fang were flabbergasted that once again Siu Hung had already disappeared with a very light and fast movement. Chien Wan was sure that his grandfather did not choose the wrong student. Siu Hung turned out to have incredible talent.
