Death Flute
The Profound Grief

The funeral ceremony of Chairman and Lady Wu took place in a very sad atmosphere. Sam Hui himself led the ceremony. He looks very sad. Even his grief exceeded all the other members because to him Chairman Wu was not just his chairman, but already like his own brother.

Kui Fang was already calmer and resigned than when he first learned of the state of his party. He was wearing mourning clothes made sober. Tears were unceasingly falling on his pale cheeks as if bloodless.

Chien Wan's hand was always clasping her hand, becoming the reinforcement of her weak heart. He is grateful that he still has Chien Wan by his side when he needs protection and support. His desire for revenge subsided after being pacified by Chien Wan. The young man was right. Now is not the time for revenge. The affairs of both parents still need to be resolved.

Chien Wan looked at her girl who looked so smitten and overwhelmed. And he is grateful for being given the strength so that it can be a support for people who love him so much.

In his grief, Kui Fang recalled how agitated his mother was as she bade to go to the swordsmen's meeting to elect the Chief of the Conquest. Her mother had a feeling that it was the last time they were together.

Tears fell back on her pale cheeks.

Chien Wan's hand clasped her hand tightly and was full of warmth, making her realize that Chien Wan was the only one in the world. Oh, don't let him lose this young man too!

Kui Fang and Chien Wan did their last respects as princesses and daughters-in-law. Indeed Chien Wan has not officially become the daughter-in-law of Chairman and Mrs Wu, but her relationship with Kui Fang has received the greatest blessing. So he did that final tribute with Kui Fang.

Both bodies were buried in the cemetery of the Butterfly Party.

Two days later, Sen Khang came with Ouwyang Ping and Fei Yu. They came as soon as they were informed. But due to the long journey, they could not arrive as fast as they wanted.

“Chien Wan!” Sen Khang exclaimed and approached Chien Wan who was in the front room at the time.

“Sen Khang's..” Chien Wan was stunned and looked at her best friend sadly. Then he saw his sister. “Ping-er..

“Kakak Wan Ouwyang Ping approached and clasped his brother's hand tightly. “We heard the news and came straight here. How is Kui Fang?”

“He was devastated,” muttered Chien Wan in despair. “I don't know how to cheer him up.”

“Chi Meng Huan did it!” tukas Fei Yu growled.

Chien Wan nodded and repeated Sam Hui's story to be heard by the three of them.

“Busty!” maki Sen Khang's.

“They are not also deterred!” gerutu Fei Yu's.

“Where is Kui Fang?” ask Ouwyang Ping to his brother.

“There is in his room.”

Chien Wan escorted Ouwyang Ping to Kui Fang's room. He first knocked on the girl's room door and called gently, “Kui Fang.”

Sounds weak authorization, “Masuk.”

Chien Wan opened the door and stepped in followed by Ouwyang Ping.

Kui Fang was sitting on the bed hugging both of his knees bent until his thighs pressed against his chest. He curled up like a ball and looked so small and fragile. His gray clothes were tangled, his hair was a mess. His face was pale as if it was not bleeding. And in just a few days, his weight shrunk so much that now he became very thin. His face was half hidden between his knees

“Kui Fang, look who came.”

Kui Fang raised his face. He saw Ouwyang Ping standing beside Chien Wan. His feelings churned between pain mixed with relief. His chin began to tremble a sign that a moment more his cry would burst out.

Quickly Ouwyang Ping approached and sat down by Kui Fang's side on top of the bed.

“Kui Fang Ouwyang Ping hugged the girl's frail shoulder.

Ouwyang Ping did not say anything. Unable to say anything. He simply stroked Kui Fang's shoulder gently, trying to comfort without a word. He did not say that he understood Kui Fang's grief. Because it is the same as lying because he has never experienced the pain of being abandoned by both parents at once— does not mean he wants it!

Quietly, Chien Wan left them and returned to the front room where Sen Khang and Fei Yu were waiting.

“We have to find where they are hiding!” fei Yu growled while walking back and forth.

Sen Khang frowned, but did not respond.

“Where should we look for it?” Wen Chiang who chimed.

“Ke anywhere! If need to Khitan!”

“Khitan!” Sen Khang got up and woke up. “Fei Yu, we can ask the Black Bats for help to deliver us to the look of teacher Chi Meng Huan at the border of Khitan!”

Fei Yu patted her forehead. “Black Bats! Right too!”

“The problem, we also do not know where Black Bats are now.”

Chien Wan had arrived in the room and listened to their conversation. He said that word.

“Of course not. And I also don't know how to contact him..”.

They were all immediately discouraged.

“... but Ouwyang Ping knows!”

Suddenly their spirits all rose.

“Ping-er know?” sela Chien Wan's.

“Why has Ping-er never said anything to me?” tukas Sen Khang. He did not expect Ouwyang Ping to have a secret that was not told to him but discussed with Fei Yu.

“I'm sure Ouwyang Ping himself forgot about it. Well, with the many problems we face lately.” Fei Yu shrugged his shoulders.

“Then, where is Miss Ouwyang now?” sam Hui asked excitedly. He stood up and was about to meet Ouwyang Ping. Wen Chiang stood up to prepare the remaining Butterfly Party troops.

“Sedang entertain Kui Fang.”

This calm and flat Chien Wan reply dampened the spirit of Sam Hui and Wen Chiang. They also sat down again.

Chien Wan sighed and looked at the ceiling. Tragedy after tragedy happens in their lives. And all of that happened just because of Chi Meng Huan's blind jealousy towards her! As a result of pent-up anger for many years and eventually become a grudge that persists. Chi Meng Huan used various ways to hurt herself, namely by hurting those who loved her.

“Chien Wan,” reprimand Sen Khang slowly. “Do not blame yourself.”

Chien Wan did not respond. He just closed his eyes to hear the understanding contained in the tone of Sen Khang's voice. Sen Khang was the friend who had known him the most for many years. He knew what was raging in Chien Wan's mind. He knows Chien blames himself for their tragedies. And he asked Chien Wan not to blame herself because it was not his fault.

Chi Meng Huan is the sinner!
