Death Flute
Mr. Ouwyang Proposes

The next day, Chairman Wu hosted his guests in the courtroom. He is very grateful because thanks to his guests who are highly appreciated that he can defend the Butterfly Party from traitors and criminals. As a manifestation of his gratitude, he held a feast for all of them.

Just then, Mr. Ouwyang stood up and directly walked over to Chairman Wu. His haughty and arrogant style made his two grandchildren look worried. What would their eccentric grandfather do?

“I want to talk to you, Chairman Wu!”

Chairman Wu had already heard his daughter's story about Mr. Ouwyang and it made him able to understand his straightforwardness. “Of course, Mr. Ouwyang. I'm so glad you wanted to come to this place and help us. It's a huge honor for all of us here.”

“I didn't come to help your party. I came here to ask you for something!”

“Oh, what is it?”

“That first, I would like to ask for a honey extract of Silver Butterfly to take to Nada Valley,” said Mr. Ouwyang without hesitation. There was not a single hint of awkwardness in his voice.

“Oh, of course!” Chairman Wu smiled. “I'll have my men send some honey sari jars to Nada Valley.” He felt relieved to hear this request.at first he thought Mr. Ouwyang would ask for something that was difficult to fulfill. If only honey juice, of course he did not object.

“There is one more request of mine. This time means more than before.”

“What is it, Mr Ouwyang?”

“I would like to propose to your daughter to be the wife of my grandson, Ouwyang Chien Wan!”

The request not only shocked Chairman Wu and his wife as well as the rest of the Butterfly Party, but also everyone who was there. Including Chien Wan and Kui Fang himself.

Chairman Wu and his wife looked at. For a moment they were unable to say anything, just looking at their daughter. Kui Fang looked agape with a dead red face. Chien Wan who was standing next to him looked extremely shocked. No one expected Mr. Ouwyang to say all that in public.

“They already understand each other and I see they are a perfect fit. My grandson is a good and responsible young man. Your daughter will be happy with him!” continued Mr. Ouwyang straightforwardly.

“Grandfather,” scolds Chien Wan while approaching his grandfather.

But Mr. Ouwyang did not ignore it. “How? Accept or not?”

Finally Chairman Wu rediscovered his voice. “Wah, Mr. Ouwyang. It was a surprise for all of us. I'm so glad you have that kind of attention for our son.”

“Have not mince words!” Mr. Ouwyang shook his hand. “Accept or not?”

“If they do like each other, why not?” Chairman Wu smiled looking at his daughter. “How, Nak?”

Kui Fang's face was getting red. “As far as Dad is concerned,” he said softly.

“And you!” Mr. Ouwyang poked his grandson hard. “Do you like Chairman Wu's daughter? Answer firmly!”

Chien Wan took a deep breath. His heart was racing as he glanced at the increasingly misbehaving Kui Fang. But he was choked to see the hopeful light that flashed in the girl's eyes when she lifted her face.

“Eh, uh, why silence?” Mr. Ouwyang glared at his grandson.

Chien Wan glanced at his grandfather in passing before focusing on Chairman Wu and his wife. “Uncle Wu, Aunt Wu, what my grandfather said is indeed true. I want to ask Kui Fang to be my wife. It's just, I didn't expect Grandpa to say it this time either.”

Happiness filled Kui Fang's face making him look radiant.

Everyone looks at each other. Ouwyang Ping stared with mixed feelings. This was the first time Chien Wan had expressed her feelings in public. It has changed. Now it is much more open. Love has turned him into a better, more assertive man.

Mr. Ouwyang nodded with great satisfaction.

Chairman Wu smiled. His wife looked happy as well.

“Then, we will gladly accept the proposal,” Chairman Wu said. “We as parents will follow the will of our child. If you two are compatible, what can we do? Yep. We bless you both.”

“Ha ha ha ha!” Mr. Ouwyang laughed cheerfully. “Chien Wan, they've agreed! Now we just tell your parents, and then we have a great wedding in Nada Valley!”

“Shortly, Cake!” Chien Wan frowned.

“The wedding will not take place anytime soon. There's still a lot of business to do.”

“Chi Meng Huan we have not been able to overcome,” continued Kui Fang slowly. “Not time to have fun.”

Chien Wan nodded. He was always amazed at Kui Fang who seemed to be able to read his mind.

Sen Khang looked at his best friend with a heartfelt admiration. It is like that Chien Wan, a man who always thinks far ahead and not just obey the wishes of the heart. He believes that Chien Wan wants to marry his girlfriend. But he felt it was inappropriate to hold any celebrations while there were still severe issues that could not be addressed.

Chairman Wu nodded. “You're right. The marriage should be postponed until all the odds are resolved. It is not good to hold a celebration when there is still a burden of mind that penetrates.”

Mr. Ouwyang scowled, but he had already lost. Everyone has agreed. Then he has no more words.

Siu Hung laughed at him. “Ha ha ha! Grandpa loses voice!” goda.

Siu Hung's words made everyone smile. The atmosphere melted so they could have a much lighter conversation.

Mr. Ouwyang glared at Siu Hung. But mischievously, the girl pretended not to see him.

The guests who were present spoke to each other. They eat dishes that are served cheerfully. Sipping sweet drinks typical of the Butterfly Party that can make people young.

Siu Hung sat down near his father and Mr. Ouwyang. The girl spoke excitedly to her father.

“Maybe I will stay in the Valley of Tones forever, Well,” Siu Hung chirpy. “And since Dad wants to retire, why not just stay in Nada Valley with me?”

Swordsman Sung laughed. “I only retired from the post of Chairman of the Press. But our goods escort service business is still running.”

Siu Hung shrugged his shoulders. “Yeah, then you better get married again!”

Swordsman Sung grimaced. “What are you talking about, anyway?”

“Your son is talking too much!” sambar Tuan Ouwyang is fierce.

Swordsman Sung laughed.

“The person who speaks for who I am is the person I value the most!” continued Mr. Ouwyang pongah. “I don't like people who talk sweet talk. Usually people like that are two-faced. Here say it like this, there's another talk!”

Siu Hung glanced at his father who was holding back a laugh.

“Like Chi Meng Huan's! I've always felt like this kid was a problem-bearer!” continued Mr. Ouwyang in a loud voice.

The remark made Chien Wan, Sen Khang, and Ouwyang Ping who were sitting not far away from them dumbfounded.

“So Grandpa doesn't like her?” ask Ouwyang Ping. “From first?”

“The kid? Huh!” grunts Mr. Ouwyang.

Chien Wan sighed. “Uncle Sung Cen never liked it either. Ever since Meng Huan came to the Bamboo Guesthouse, Uncle Sung's attitude has never been friendly. Always stay tight and keep your distance. I was very surprised at that time.” He shook his head. “It turns out Uncle Sung wasn't mistaken. I was mistaken about Meng Huan for thinking of him as a very good friend.”

“Not only are you mistaken, Chien Wan,” sidelines Sen Khang grimly. “Our family, including me and Ping-er. All wrong about Meng Huan. We all misjudged it. Her sweet attitude has blinded us all.”

“True,” nod Ouwyang Ping.

“But Fei Yu and I don't, tuh!” Siu Hung laughed. “Fei Yu hates Chi Meng Huan a lot, even though all of that is because she is jealous of Ting Ting being kind to Chi Meng Huan. I just don't like it because he always smiles and relents. Where is there someone who always gives up on every occasion?!”

“You always don't want to lose!” gerutu Mr. Ouwyang.

The others looked at each other with smiles.
