Death Flute
The Past of Sung Cen II

Chien Wan, Sen Khang, and Sung Cen had arrived in Lok Yang City. Without wasting any time, they immediately went towards Pendekar Sung's residence.

When they arrived, they were confronted by the doorman.

“Greetings, Gentlemen. What is the need?”

“We want to meet Pendekar Sung. Tell him, we are from Nada Valley,” replied Sen Khang.

“Wait a minute.”

The bodyguard disappeared and returned shortly afterwards.

“Please enter.”

The three were escorted by bodyguards to the living room. They were invited to sit by the bodyguard. “Please wait a moment. Swordsman Sung is finishing up. family affairs.”.

The bodyguard hesitated when saying family matters. Yet no one noticed him until a carefree voice sounded,

“Salah herself she whiny so! I just kicked his ass twice, couldn't possibly make him faint!”

A teenage girl walked into the living room with an innocent expression.

“Wait, Siu Hung! I'm not done talking!”

Swordsman Sung caught up with the girl. His face looked very upset.

“I don't want to be punished! I'm not wrong, kok!”

“What's not wrong?” snarled Swordsman Sung. “You've beaten a government official's son to death, messed up at a brothel—brothel, for God's sake! And refuse punished?”

Siu Hung turned around and faced his father while shaking his waist. “Actually if you want to find who is wrong, Dad is wrong!”

“Faulty father?” exclaiming Swordsman Sung was angry.

“Dad taught me to act as a defender of the weak? Well, that was me defending the woman that the rancid boy was about to force! The woman said she didn't want the rancid boy to force her too. I will be moved. Try if Dad doesn't educate me like that, I'll just go and not help him!”

Swordsman Sung glared. “Lantas what are you doing in this midday brothel? And—ya geez!—you're a daughter! Where is it worth visiting such a place?!”

Siu Hung grinning. “What is inappropriate? Dad is weird. The brothel is all women. If visited by women, it is natural. Even if the man who came was strange. Men come must have some insolent intent. If women are not insolent, just just look at it.”

Swordsman Sung patted his forehead. He was desperate to take care of his daughter. Having one child has made him so dizzy.

“After that Dad will be called the office. What am I supposed to say?” shouted Swordsman Sung riled.

“Say that his son went to the brothel and wouldn't pay. Beres, right?”

“Siu Hung!” snarled Swordsman Sung. “Now enter a room and do not exit!” his orders. He looked over and saw his bodyguard. “A Kuang, you keep an eye on Miss. Don't let him escape!”

“I?!” exclaim the frightened guard. The sight of Siu Hung who seemed to smile wide and bright was incredible, and the bodyguard grew even more horrified.

“Come!” Siu Hung pulled the frightened bodyguard in.

Swordsman Sung caught his breath before turning to face his guests. He smiled with regret. “Im sorry about the event. My daughter is amazing badung!”

“We still remember his mischief.” Sen Khang laughed, recalling the events some time ago when they were invited to a meeting of the warriors at the residence of Pendekar Sung, Chairman of the Military.

Swordsman Sung only realized who his guest was and instantly his face turned bright. “It is an honor to see you again! What's up, Brother Luo, Brother Chien?”

“Good, Swordsman Sung.” Sen Khang saluted followed by Chien Wan who was silent.

As Sung Cen stood up and looked at Pendekar Sung, the atmosphere became silent. Swordsman Sung was stunned staring at the middle-aged man. His throat was so tight that he could not speak.

The hesitant greeting Sung Cen resuscitated Pendekar Sung. Pendekar Sung immediately came forward and embraced his brother with longing and distrust. Sung Cen was also relieved. He thought his sister would throw him out and never admit it again. It is now proven that his sister still considers him a sister.

“Kakak Cen! Jeez Brother Cen!” Swordsman Sung let go of his embrace to look closely at his brother's face. “I thought you had...” He shook his head in amazement. “After more than twenty years. I've been looking for you everywhere for years. After a long time, I gave up. I thought as long as we never saw each other again!”

Sung Cen heaved a sigh of relief. Patted his sister's back. “I'm sorry I worried you.”

“Where have you been all this time? And how did you get to be with these two young men?” ask Pendekar Sung berpat. He led his brother to a chair and they sat side by side.

“The story is long. I'll tell you later. I can only say that all this time I have been carrying out my duties as a member of Nada Valley,” said Sung Cen.

Swordsman Sung did not force. He understood his brother's closed temperament.

“It turns out you're married and have a child.”

Being reminded of Siu Hung makes Swordsman Sung moody. “I suck so bad when it comes to educating children. My son is only one, but his stature exceeds ten boys!”

“Try to meet him with Grandpa Ouwyang, must be exciting!” tukas Sen Khang held back a laugh. Chien Wan smiled slightly hearing that.

Sung Cen grinned. “Betul also.”

Swordsman Sung knew nothing, so he did not comment. Just staring confused. He looked back at his brother. “Kak, I've been trying to find you everywhere. Especially when Sister-in-law gave birth to your daughter. I was so embarrassed when I came to Bukit Merak without successfully taking you home.”

Sung Cen's face turned sad. “They are dead.”

“Who?”

“Cin May and my son. They're dead..”.

“Who said?”

Sung Cen was instantly on guard. “I went there about a year after I left. They say that my wife and son are no more!”

Swordsman Sung frowned. “Any...”.

Sung Cen gripped his sister's arm tightly. “You know something?”

“Kakak Ipar is indeed very weak condition when giving birth to your child. She died about two months after giving birth. But your daughter was alive when I came to attend her funeral! I even saw it!”

This notice left Sung Cen dumbfounded to the point of barely being able to speak. Chang Cin Te lied to him! Nineteen years ago he returned to Bukit Merak with the intention of picking up his wife and daughter. However Chang Cin Te accepted it stiffly and hatefully, saying that they were no longer there. Wh why?

“Kakak Cen?”

“Then...my daughter is still alive..?” muttered Sung Cen Lirih.

“So don't be sad. We better go to Bukit Peacock to ask for an explanation,” proposed Pendekar Sung.

Sung Cen laughed dryly. “Those are the ones who should receive an explanation.”

That's when a guard came in and reported.

“Dark Sung, there are some people looking for you.”

“Who?” ask Pendekar Sung.

“They are from Merak Hill.”

Sung Cen immediately jumped to his feet.
