Death Flute

Death Flute
Freer

Fei Yu paced back and forth with an agitated heart. Since the arrest of Ting Ting and his friends, he felt like a person imprisoned in his own home. Now Cheng Sam placed several guards in front of his room, to watch over him. He cannot move freely. It's been three days and he still doesn't know where they are. His father has not returned. A Nan's efforts to find information do not seem to have brought results.

Cheng Sam motherfucker!

Fei Yu was eager to punch that arrogant face of his. He believed he could defeat Cheng Sam, but he feared an imminent rebellion. True as Cheng Sam had said, around eighty percent of the Thousand Faces God's men were now turning their allegiance to Cheng Sam. If he decides to fight Cheng Sam, of course other loyal men who will be victims.

Now I wait for his father. He was sure that even if many of their men turned away, if the Thousand Faces God himself acted, they would submit. Now the problem was, his own father trusted Cheng Sam very much. Then how is this?

“Maybe my father will only realize his mistake if Bukit Perak has been taken over!” fei Yu was furious.

He breathed an annoyed breath. Somehow Ting Ting's circumstances, he thought. Carefully he took out Ting Ting's hairpick from his shirt pocket, then looked at him with longing and pain. She wanted to meet Ting Ting, wanted to set him free, and wanted to go with him. But how is it that where the girl is he doesn't know?

Grasping that hairpin tight.

Come A Nan with a radiant face. “Young Master,” whispered as he pulled Fei Yu into the inner room. He was afraid that their conversation would be heard by Cheng Sam's men who were standing guard outside.

“How? You okay?” ask Fei Yu. He was a bit worried about A Nan. As a servant of his trust, A Nan's movements were also limited and supervised. If Cheng Sam knew what A Nan was doing, surely A Nan's fate would be doomed.

A Nan nodded slowly. “I'm fine. They did not look at me one eye because I am a lowly servant,” his smile.

“Then?”

“I know where they are being held, Young Master.”

“Where are they, A Nan?” fei Yu asked softly, but her tone of voice exuded an excited spirit.

A Nan smiled looking at him.

“Miss Ting Ting and his friends are held captive in an iron room built in the basement near Cheng Sam's pavilion, Young Master,” reports A Nan.

Fei Yu's face turned serious. “Underground space? When did they build the iron room there?”

“Four years ago, when the Great Lord and Young Master went north. I knew for a long time. I think they built it on the orders of the Great Lord.”

“I don't know about it. My dad doesn't know either!” furious Fei Yu. “The basement has been unused for decades. My grandfather built it to hide himself from the enemy. Unexpectedly now used to imprison people!”

“The guard is tight once, Young Master.”

Fei Yu looked over. “Who gave you this information?”

A Nan's face was somewhat flushed. “Eng.. one of Cheng Sam's men named A Yip liked me. It just so happened that he was assigned to watch over me. I used him to find information for me. Of course I'm very careful. She has no idea at all I'm using her.”

Fei Yu sighed in astonishment. A Nan was willing to sacrifice her pride in order to carry out the duties of Fei Yu. He was a faithful servant.

“Young Master..

“How can we help them?” fei Yu asked half-dreamed.

A Nan was silent. He doesn't know the answer to that question.

Fei Yu thought hard. Suddenly an idea slipped in his brain. Everyone needs food to survive. He knew Cheng Sam had not intended to kill the captives, so they must have been fed. “A Nan, do you know how they are fed?”

“Some people take turns taking him there in turn,” replied A Nan.

“Find out who's on duty tonight.”

Inside the detention room, Sen Khang and Chien Wan were busy thinking of ways to escape. Sen Khang had set up a plan and excitedly began to reveal his plan.

“Later, when someone brings us food, we beat him up. At that time we can escape.”

“But...” Chien Wan seemed to hesitate.

Ting Ting looked astonished. “But what, Sister Wan?”

Chien Wan sighed. “If I smell it, it feels like it's in the basement. Don't you guys smell damp and stuffy in here? If it is true, it is difficult for us to escape because we do not know the way out.”

Sen Khang immediately sniffed while concentrating. His kiss was not as sharp as Chien Wan, but he knew immediately that Chien Wan was right. This room smells damp and stuffy. He dropped himself in despair.

“Lantas, what should we do?”

Chien Wan thought. “Maybe...”.

Sen Khang and Ting Ting straight back up.

“We can take the delivery boy hostage and ask him to show us the way out,” continued Chien Wan. “In this way, we might be able to escape and look for Ping-er.”

Ting Ting felt sad in his heart. What Chien Wan had in mind all along were only two things: Black Bamboo Flute and Ouwyang Ping. Of course the main one is Ouwyang Ping. Ting Ting felt hopeless and lost hope. There was no more chance for him.

Sen Khang nodded. “How good! Unexpectedly you turned out to be so smart!”

They prepare the best plan.

At dinner, the door of the holding room opened. Someone stepped in carefully. Head bowed.

Sen Khang lunged with his fists.

Unexpectedly, the person dodged with a very light and nimble movement. He closed the door and turned around. “Do not attack. It's me!” hisses. He raised his face and saw a familiar face. Chang Fei Yu's!

It turned out that Fei Yu had managed to devise a good plan. A Nan managed to find out who the guards were who got the turn to deliver food to the prisoners. Fei Yu planned to knock the guard out and take the key of the room from him. The problem is how to escape from his own room with such tight security.

Finally Fei Yu managed to reach the underground chamber without arousing suspicion. One of them is because the night was a little cloudy so that he could disguise his face by looking down. Then after arriving inside, he attacked the guards with a tease until they fainted.

“You...!”

“Don't say much. Follow me!” hiss Fei Yu while reopening the door of the iron room.

Chien Wan and the others had no choice but to follow Fei Yu out of that iron room. They walked through the dark and uphill hallway. The journey is quite far because the road is winding.

The longer, the air they felt was getting fresher. They finally arrived at the front of the hall. It was not far from the pavilion where they were all unconscious. One by one came out of the mouth of the passageway.

Just then A Nan came while running around a little.

“Young Master!”

“How are they all?” ask Fei Yu.

“Sleep like a baby.” A Nan smirked. “Not that. A Yip was raving. He gave me very important information. He said Chi Meng Huan was held in a secret room inside the master's boudoir.”

“Good, A Nan!” puji Fei Yu's.

“Young Master Chang, can I tell you what you guys are really doing?” tanya Sen Khang.

“We are trying to free you!” hiss Fei Yu was annoyed.

“You know where Ping-er is?” sela Chien Wan's.

Fei Yu was stunned. “You mean, the girl who brought the harp? Is she not with you?”

“No. Cheng Sam said he had... killed him!” Chien Wan's voice sounded raucous. “But I can't believe it. My hunch says Ping-er is alive.”

“I don't know. Maybe he was put together with Chi Meng Huan.”

“I don't understand you,” sis Ting Ting. And instantly Fei Yu's attention turned to him. “You're actually evil or good? You set us up so we're taken prisoner. Now you release us.”

Fei Yu pouted. “It's up to you to think I'm bad or good. We'd better get to my dad's office now. Good thing my dad is away.”

“How about my sulingku? You know where Cheng Sam hid it?” ask Chien Wan.

“Suling?”

“Cheng Sam snatched it while we were held captive.”

Fei Yu looked at A Nan.

“Not mentioned about flute. But if you all want to know, tonight Cheng Sam is going to Lok Yang City. Tomorrow he's just back,” says A Nan.

“Then, it must be stored in his room,” murmured Fei Yu.

“We'd better go to the Big Lord's room now, don't huddle here. There will be a guard coming.” A Nan looked agitated and turned her head right-left many times.

“True,” nods Fei Yu agreed.

Suddenly, a black shadow flashed past them followed by a golden shadow. They were very surprised and prepared to fight the coming, thinking they were enemies. But their movement was stopped by a screech.

“Kak Wan!”

Chien Wan was shocked. He looked at the two who came. Instantly his face was radiant. “Ping-er!”

Ouwyang Ping approached Chien Wan with great happiness. Their hands held each other tightly. Not paying attention to Ting Ting and Sen Khang's face that was instantly turbid.

Sen Khang turned his attention to the black-clothed figure on Ouwyang Ping's side. His heart was astonished and also suspicious of the presence of the foreign figure.

Fei Yu widened her eyes. “Uncle!”

The Black Bat smirked. “For a long time no see, Boy!”

Ouwyang Ping immediately introduced them. “Friends, this is Black Bat. He was the one who helped me three days ago when I was about to be brought into Cheng Sam's room.”

All immediately saluted and were timidly replied by the Black Bats. All, except Fei Yu who had indeed approached the man and gave him a familiar pat on his shoulder.

“You know him?” sen Khang asked Fei Yu.

“He could be said to be my teacher,” said Fei Yu while looking wryly at the Black Bats. “Teachers who come and go as they please.”

Back Black Bats blushed.

“Ya. You better just go now,” tell Fei Yu with eyes to keep glancing towards Cheng Sam's pavilion. “Black Bat Park can take you. He knows the way.”

“How about Brother Huan?” yelled Ting Ting quietly.

Fei Yu glanced at him at a glance. “I almost forgot. Then, you go to my father's study with A Nan, then leave this place with Uncle. I'll do the rest.”

A Nan looked anxiously. “Young Master where to go?”

“There's something important to do,” says Fei Yu is short. Without waiting for another reaction, he left the place.

“Let's free Meng Huan,” get Sen Khang excited.

They all immediately followed A Nan towards the Thousand Faces God's den.
