Death Flute

Death Flute
Heart to Heart

All the warriors returned to their respective places by bringing news about the emergence of two new warriors who would later become the talk of people in the martial World.

The five young men decided not to go back to their respective homes. They decided to stay for a few days in Lok Yang City. During those few days, the five of them established a close friendship.

Ting Ting still remained jealous of Ouwyang Ping, yet he also admired the girl's demeanor. Ouwyang Ping's elegance impressed him as well as envious. However, he could not hate Ouwyang Ping.

Ting Ting greatly admired Ouwyang Ping's harp game. Now he had a habit of asking Ouwyang Ping to pluck his harp every night. Ouwyang Ping did it with pleasure. She had always been friendly towards Ting Ting even though her heart was a little jealous at how Ting Ting had always tried to show his love for Chien Wan.

Chien Wan is still as it used to be, thought Sen Khang. Silent, dim-witted, and his face always looked grim. It's really surprising, with such a nature Chien Wan can captivate the hearts of two beautiful girls at once. Sen Khang shakes his head.

One night, Chien Wan was sitting in the garden inside the inn. He was busy cleaning his flute which was not dirty at all with a piece of silk.

Sen Khang saw it and approached.

“Chien Wan.”

Chien Wan looked over. “Oh, you.”

Sen Khang sat next to Chien Wan. He took a breath. “For a long time we did not sit together talking,” his sigh while looking at the clear sky with thousands of twinkling stars.

Chien Wan was silent.

Sen Khang looked at his best friend. “Now I have a chance to ask, but the others are not there. What about the assignment my father gave me?”

Chien Wan expected it. He sighed. “Your aunt and Ping-er's father were once lovers.”

Sen Khang widened his eyes. “Really?”

“They are both related, but Ping-er's father already has a fiancee. Their relationship just broke up. I don't know if the problem is just that. What is clear, the incident has hit your aunt's soul,” Chien Wan said in a flat tone.

Sen Khang. “Is it as severe as the impact of a broken heart on a girl?”

Chien Wan was silent. For a long time, no one spoke.

“Ting Ting is still thinking of you,” Sen Khang said suddenly. “Then you go, he's always sad. He talks about you a lot, guessing what you did in the Valley of Nada. Until me and Meng Huan got tired of hearing it.”

Chien Wan's hand that had been wiping the flute, came to a halt.

“Nona Ouwyang also likes you. He's very attentive to you, and I can see you like him a lot too. You guys are so compatible. My sister is only the third person among you. I don't have to ask because I know for sure who your choice is,” continued Sen Khang.

Chien Wan looked over. Somehow he felt the bitterness in the voice of Sen Khang.

Chien Wan sighed. “Meng Huan good youth. She really liked Ting Ting. He's much better than me.”

Sen Khang nodded. “I know. Long ago, Meng Huan had already loved Ting Ting. But did you know? Ting Ting is obsessed with you. Since childhood, you were the only one in her eyes, in her mind, in her heart. I was astonished too. Why is your charm so strong embedded in my sister? Though you are arguably mediocre.”

Chien Wan shrugged her shoulders. His heart was beginning to worry.

“How was Ting Ting's fate then?” sen Khang Gumam. “Will she become like Aunt Sui She if her love is unrequited?”

Chien Wan shook her head. “Do not talk like that!”

The sharpness in Chien Wan's tone of voice was beyond belief, leaving Sen Khang stunned. It was not usual for Chien Wan to let out such a tone of voice. This matter also made him worried.

“I'm sorry.”

They go back to silence.

“Tomorrow we will go home to Wisma Bambu,” Sen Khang said later. “You want to come home with me? Take your Miss Ouwyang. Let Uncle Khung see for himself how great his foster son's future wife is!” goda.

Chien Wan sighed. How much he misses Uncle Khung. But he could not go home. Notnot now. He was sent away by his teacher just to attend a meeting of warriors. His teacher could be wrathful if he knew he was returning to the Bamboo Guesthouse without permission. Especially with Ouwyang Ping.

“How?” sen Khang.

Chien Wan shook her head. “I can't. My teacher hasn't given permission.”

Chien Wan shook her head. “Cannot. That's his name lying.”

“Basic you!” Sen Khang punched Chien Wan in the arm, half jokingly half annoyed.

***

“So, tomorrow you'll be home?”

The question was raised by Ouwyang Ping as he watched Ting Ting pack up.

“Ya,” nod Ting Ting. “It has been almost two weeks we left the Bamboo Guesthouse. My father and mother would want to know what happened in the meeting of the warriors this time.”

“Honey,” murmured Ouwyang Ping. “While we have just started making friends..”.

Ting Ting looked over. “You come,” bargain.

Ouwyang Ping shook his head grimly. “My grandfather will be angry if we leave without his knowledge.”

Ting Ting pouted, then continued his bustle.

Ouwyang Ping was silent for a long time before saying worry, “You've said goodbye to Sister Wan?”

“Make what?” ketus Ting Ting without looking at Ouwyang Ping. “He won't care if I leave or stay!”

“Ting Ting, Sister Wan loves you and Big Brother Luo like her own sister. He'll be disappointed if you leave without speaking to him,” says Ouwyang Ping.

Look Ting Ting's eyes burning heard the word ‘adik’. “I don't care!”

Ouwyang Ping grimaced, aware that he had misspoken. He should not have said those words. Being considered a sister by the man we love is painful. She understood Ting Ting's feelings. It turned out that Ting Ting's jealousy towards her outweighed his jealousy towards Ting Ting.

“Ting Ting, I...”.

“What's up anyway?!” sergeant Ting Ting was upset. His face looked very thin.

Ouwyang Ping was flabbergasted, then shook his head in silence. He wanted to apologize for his words. But seeing Ting Ting's attitude that was so taut, he also decided to keep his mouth shut.

A soft knock on the door.

“Who?” ask Ouwyang Ping.

“It's me; Luo Sen Khang.”

Ouwyang Ping opened the door and pulled over to let Sen Khang in. The young man's face beamed at Ouwyang Ping who opened the door. The young man smiled widely, then turned to his sister.

“Ting Ting, you haven't said goodbye to Chien Wan, have you? There go!”

But Ting Ting shook his head. His eyes glanced at Ouwyang Ping.

“Go, Ting Ting,” Tell Ouwyang Ping gently.

Sen Khang glanced at Ouwyang Ping, somewhat astonished. Then he saw his sister again. “Eh, why is it silent? There go.”

Ting Ting immediately went to hear this reprimand. His heart was pounding hard as it was joyful to be talking to the young man of his tribe. Inwardly, he was astonished to also see Ouwyang Ping's attitude being so friendly to him. If he became Ouwyang Ping, he would not be willing if his rival talked to his young man. Hope rumbled in his chest.

After Ting Ting left, Sen Khang did not leave immediately. He looked at his sister with a heart. He knew his brother had no hope. He took a deep breath, then he turned his head and looked towards Ouwyang Ping. The girl sat down to clean her harp, which she used to do when her heart was troubled.

Sen Khang who does not understand the heartbreak of Ouwyang Ping praised him, “Nona Ouwyang.., you are very big soul.”

Ouwyang Ping raised his head. Her pair of beautiful eyes looked at Sen Khang, perplexed at the compliment. “Means Brother Luo?”

Sen Khang smiled. “You know Ting Ting likes your lover, which means he's your rival. But you instead let him talk to your lover alone. I'm amazed at you. Because if it's me, there's no way to be.”

A red hue ran down Ouwyang Ping's delicate cheeks hearing the praise. He laughed softly. “I can't prevent others from loving Sister Wan. I can't be so selfish about forbidding Sister Wan from talking to another girl. After all, Ting Ting has been in Sister Wan's life before me,” she replied wisely.
