Death Flute
The Past of Sung Cen I

There was something that Sung Cen did not tell Chien Wan and his friends, namely that he and the Head of the Military were brothers. He is the older brother of Pendekar Sung. So when Ouwyang Kuan told this to Sen Khang— who was an admirer of Pendekar Sung, the young man became very surprised and also happy. He rushed to Sung Cen to ask the truth.

Sung Cen was with Chien Wan when Sen Khang rushed over and asked. He sighed.

“Crue. Sung Han is my sister. We have not seen each other for more than twenty years. I think now he must have thought I was dead,” Sung Cen said calmly.

“Does Uncle not want to see him?” ask Sen Khang.

“Entahlah. I never thought about it,” Sung Cen replied with a frown.

“He definitely wants to meet Uncle!” tukas Sen Khang's. “However you are blood brothers.”

“Maybe he's mad at me.”

“Why?”

“Since becoming a member of Nada Valley, my absolute loyalty has been to this place. I hardly ever visit my family again. Even when I was married, it was Master whom I asked for my blessing and not my father. Since becoming a member of the Nada Valley, I have only returned home twice. When my mother was sick and died, and when she told me I was getting married. Even when my father died, I didn't come home,” Sung Cen's story with a look of laughter.

“Did Uncle already start being Uncle Khung?”

“Yes. My father died when I was three years undercover. At that time Sung Han was not yet the Head of the Military. I knew he was looking for me, but back then I had no choice.”

“Fine Uncle should meet him,” timpal Chien Wan.

“Betul! Right!” sen Khang. “If Uncle wants, we will accompany you.”

Sung Cen looked at the two young men. In his heart he was confused. How different their nature. One was jovial and feisty, the other was quiet and dim-witted. But their closeness almost resembles a sibling. Reminds him of himself and his sister.

“You better talk to your parents first. I can go alone if they don't give permission.”

“Aduh, Uncle! We are adults! We do not need permission,” refuted Sen Khang.

“However they should know your intentions.”

Sung Cen's decision cannot be changed. Sen Khang and Chien Wan went to their parents to tell them their intentions.

After getting the approval of the entire family, the three of them left the Nada Valley. Originally Meng Huan and Ting Ting wanted to come along, but Master Luo did not allow it.

***

Bukit Merak looks calm and beautiful. The atmosphere there was calm and did not seem a meaningful activity. The commotion that some time ago happened there turned out to have no impact on the rhythm of life there.

There was a quarrel between Fei Yu and his father about the chaos that occurred a few months ago because of the actions of Cheng Sam, a trusted person of the Thousand Faces God Chang Cin Te. Now they were holding a kind of truce, and decided to make up again because there was no point in fussing over everything that had passed. And Cheng Sam had apologized earnestly, in a way that moved Mr. Chang and made Fei Yu snort bitterly as he still could not believe the two-headed snake..

The peace between Fei Yu and her father had been going on for months. Here again, Cheng Sam did not mess around anymore so Fei Yu was not often angry. Maybe Cheng Sam was already caught up with the unpleasant incident first, Fei Yu thought satisfiedly.

It was early in the morning and the air was cold. Fei Yu was awake and was walking near the outer door of his residence. He was struck by the arrival of a nun who carried a subtle mention.

As the nun approached, Fei Yu realized that her conjecture had been somewhat mistaken. He thought the nun was old, she was young and beautiful. Even presumably he has not officially become a nun because his hair has not been shaved bald. It's just that the hair was covered by a typical nun's hat.

As the young nun approached and saluted, Fei Yu replied in the same way.

“Can I meet Mr Chang Cin Te?” ask the nun politely.

“Of course. He is my father, ” Fei Yu replied. He looked at the nun with wonder. “Sorry, may I know who you are?”

“At the monastery, I was called A Ming.”

“Your father asked me to come here via a letter he sent by courier.”

Fei Yu looked at him in increasing astonishment. But he did not ask again. He sent the nun to his father's office.

By then Mr. Chang had already woken up and had already started working in his room. He was painting something on a piece of paper. Usually before making a skin mask that resembles a person's face, he first draws a sketch of the person's face to learn the details. He has an extraordinary ability in detail, almost unmatched by anyone.

Too bad his only son is not interested in this science of disguise. He did not know to whom this skill would be handed down. Maybe later if his son has children.

The door of his study opened and Fei Yu entered. “Dad, there's a nun who wants to see Dad.”

Mr. Chang's face stiffened. He finally came....

“Dad?”

Mr. Chang cleared his throat. “Tell him in, Fei Yu.”

Fei Yu came out and entered again accompanied by the young nun. The nun saluted very politely.

“My greetings, Uncle Te.”

“A Ming, do you mean A Ming?” Mr. Chang stood up. He looked at the nun with great feeling.

“True, Uncle. I came at Uncle.”'s request

“You know it's time?”

“Ya, I know.”

“I heard now he's back at his father's house. We can find him there,” Mr. Chang said.

“Ya.”

“Dan holds him accountable for his actions all along!”

“Ya.”

Fei Yu looked at the nun and her father alternated. He felt very astonished. What's going on between her father and that nun? Why do both of them look so tense and sad? Especially, the nun was so pale and her pair of eyes were smoldering.

Finally Mr. Chang turned his gaze away from the nun and looked at his son.

“Fei Yu, do you know who he is?”

“Of course not!” gerutu Fei Yu was annoyed. “I just saw it this time.”

“He's cousin. His name is Sung Lien Ming.”

Fei Yu was shocked. “Princess Aunt May? Didn't Dad say he was dead?”

“Your deceased aunt. Before he died, he asked Dad to leave his daughter at his place of study since adolescence, namely Compassion Monastery. And now, it's time for him to go home to meet someone,” explained Mr. Chang with a grim face.

“Someone?”

“Myah.” Sung Lien Ming replied coldly. “My father has left us!”
