Mahram To Azira

Mahram To Azira
Chapters 18.4

After that conversation with Ayana, her heart was constantly agitated. There were so many questions flashing inside his head. Maybe what he thinks is true or maybe there is a reason why he kept his job as a doctor. Azira closed her eyes involuntarily letting out a long sigh.

"Why you?" Kenzie turned to his wife.

Kenzie has noticed the strangeness of his wife since returning from a meeting. Azira looks not right. Obviously he wanted to say something, but held back.

Azira opened her eyes. Blinking lightly, she glanced at her husband doubtfully.

"Hem?" There's a red light ahead.

Kenzie stops the car, then shifts his seat sideways in order to communicate with Azira.

Azira then lowered her head to look at her fingers that were linked together because of nervousness.

"Mas Kenzie, I want to ask you something, mas."

"OK, just ask." Kenzie.

"That's mas... Does Kenzie like the work he's doing right now?" Azira asked after a few seconds of silence thinking about how to put together the right questions for her husband.

Kenzie feels weird. Suddenly he remembered Ayana. You see when the two of them met earlier, Ayana looked at him with a guilty expression. Then this oddity is associated with the attitude of his wife who does not feel right now, then added to this question. Honestly, Kenzie thinks this question is a little silly. Yet he had a faint guess in his heart. Could it be that his cousin had been presumptuous to divulge about the past to his wife?

Otherwise, why would his wife have such an unusual attitude and ask him something that clearly has an answer.

Seeing the silence of her husband, Azira's heart sank. Could it be that what he was thinking earlier was indeed true?

"Whether I like this job, of course the answer is I like the job I'm doing now. At first I didn't like this job. It feels very boring and at the same time exhausting. But as time went on, I started to like this job. At least for now, I feel fine-fine just living it. Why are you asking me that? Could it be that you don't like my job?"

Kenzie's voice immediately drew Azira in his jumbled thoughts. He was shocked, a few seconds later his heart instantly became calm. Kenzie's answer has a veiled meaning. That was what Azira thought now. But what does Kenzie want to tell him?

So at first Kenzie didn't like this job, but why did he try to keep it?

Or why Kenzie is still in this job, even though from the beginning he did not like it. Don't-don't...

"I... L like it. But..." Azira wanted to ask about Amara, but after some thought He decided not to bring up the woman again. After all, that woman was her husband's past. "Well, if Kenzie likes it then I'll always be supportive."

Hem, she's part of her husband's past. So there's nothing to worry about.

Kenzie had noticed all Azira's expressions or doubts. It was clear on Azira's face that something was still stuck in her heart. But Azira never asked him so that makes Kenzie feel anxious. He was probably annoyed to see his wife covering up the doubts in his heart. But just like Azira, he could not ask her plainly.

Hum, let's just say it's a test for him. Kenzie's mind suppressed the resentment in the heart.

"thank you. I'm glad you're supporting my work." Then the car again walked across the crowded asphalt roads that were very lively.

Tonight he would send his wife to a boutique to buy some clothes. But before going to the boutique they stop by the campus to pick up Sasa and Mona. Before getting out of the hospital the two men had sent Azira a message to be mixed immediately because they had finished class. Therefore, after completing the magrib prayer in the mosque in front of the hospital, the two of them immediately went to the campus where the two men waited.

Azira immediately shook her head in denial.

"No more. There may be some but we can talk about it at home." Azira said cover it up.

Kenzie is helpless.

"All right."

"Are you hungry?" Kenzie saw time on his watch, usually at this hour the family at home had dinner.

Azira shook her head in no taste.

"I'm full. At the hospital Ayana bought me food. So while waiting for the mas to come back, I ate all the food until it ran out. So I don't feel hungry right now. Is Kenzie hungry, huh? If you're hungry, why don't you stop by the nearest restaurant or restaurant to eat?" Azira said shyly.

His face was hot.

It's beyond his power. Although upset stomach can still devour all the food brought by Ayana. She unknowingly finished all the food, so it was no wonder that she did not feel hungry.

"No, I'm not hungry either. I was going to invite you to eat at the restaurant if you want to eat, but since you're full then we don't have to stop by." Kenzie explained.

His eyes glanced at Azira's hands that were still busy squeezing each other.

"Hand," said Kenzie.

Azira's confused.

"Hand... why?" Azira looked at both of his hands.

Nothing is strange.

Kenzie smiled amusedly, "your right hand here."

Azira is confused but still carries her right hand to her husband. Then a few seconds later all the confusion on his face was instantly answered by the warm touch on top of his wet palm.

Kenzie took Azira's right hand and held it gently without feeling uncomfortable or disgusted with Azira's sweaty palms. Instead of feeling disgusted, he stroked Azira's palm to give her a sense of comfort.

"Well, this is more convenient." Kenzie muttered satisfied with the voice that deliberately exaggerated its volume.

Azira's face instantly heated up under the onslaught of a pounding heartbeat. It was so sweet and warm, this sigh was so alive inside him.

Drooping in shame, her apricot eyes silently glanced at her hand that was being held gently and tightly by the large hand that belonged to her husband. Feeling very sweet, her lips could not help but smile.

Ugh, the atmosphere in the car somehow has a shadow of a flower flying in it. Even if the two of them stopped talking, the atmosphere did not degrade to freezing and instead grew weirder, um. They both enjoyed it in silence.
