"Well, it's done." He smiled with satisfaction at the dusty yard that was now clean and wet after being watered with water.
Starting from sweeping, planting dead leaves, to watering plants everything has been done by Azira this afternoon. Her husband said there is no need to water this yard too often because not all plants are able to receive a lot of water intake. Therefore her husband arranged a schedule for her to water the plants every two days and today's coincidence is his schedule.
Azira checked her husband's fruit trees. The tree has been plucked all its fruit and the rich Kenzie will soon bloom again. Then he checked the pear tree on the right, still no change. Then moved to see the vine that began to flower, he did not know what this wine was but Sasa said it was sweet wine, it must taste good. Next he walked around the pomegranate tree which already had a lot of fruit but was still small. Sasa said it's red pomegranate, has a sweet and refreshing taste. Kenzie likes to eat pomegranate.
"Astaghfirullah, I why don't I see the grass here growing big? If allowed to continue the nutrition of the Kenzie mas plant will be disturbed. Should be cut immediately." Azira picked up the grass scissors and started working on mowing the grass.
He did not realize that all his movements were monitored by someone. Until finally someone came and patted Azira on the shoulder, then Azira realized that there was someone here.
"Frida, do you need help?" Azira asked trying to smile as gently as possible.
Frida smiled sweetly. Dragging a plastic chair out of nowhere and sitting on it. He looked at Azira below with a disguised expression.
The problem is that Azira does not mind Frida's indifference at all, preferring to sit on top rather than join her squatting on the ground.
"May I join?"
"Can." Azira then continued her work of mowing the grass.
"Why do you still live in this house? I mean.what you did to Kenzie's sister, everyone already knows. In other words, your presence in this house is not needed, so why are you still living here?"
Azira's hand that cut the grass stopped. From the beginning she wondered why Frida always looked at her strangely, despite smiling, but Azira knew her smile was insincere. He had thought that it might be because Frida still had not accepted her relationship with Kenzie because 90 percent of the Kenzie family had this rejection reaction. But it didn't seem to be as simple as he thought because everyone's 'rejection' reaction was different from Frida's 'rejection. What difference?
"This is my household business with Kenzie. It's not your thing to interfere." Azira replied indifferently and there was no need to pretend to be friendly anymore.
"What did you say?" Frida couldn't take it, "Heh, just so you know, well, my relationship with Kenzie's sister is much deeper than your relationship with her. Who you are for, you are not important. You're the wild woman who snatched your own sister's wedding. Oh, I also heard that you came from a dirty place and grew up in a dirty way. So no wonder you can act rudely to usurp your own sister's marriage. It's just that, with your filthy body and your filthy origin, I don't think you deserve to be close to Kenzie's sister let alone stay in this house-"
"Frida!" Shouted Umi furiously from behind.
Hearing Umi yell, Azira was actually very surprised. He did not expect Umi to be here and even heard their conversation. But honestly he was very happy because Umi heard Frida's malicious comments to him. He wanted to know what Umi's reaction, whether angry or otherwise, supported Frida's words.
"U... Umi?" Frida stands shocked to see Umi coming with her aunt Indring.
Aunt Indring's face was very gloomy. He was clearly angry at his son's impulsive words. Though he has repeatedly reminded his son not to act impulsively especially to get carried away with emotions in this house. Now that Umi had heard what her son said, Aunt Indring had to turn her head to restore her son's image.
"Azira, come here, son."
"Yes, Umi." Azira gave up her job and walked obediently beside Umi.
"Umi, Frida didn't mean anything bad to Azira. He's got emotions." Aunt Indring spoke softly to Umi.
Umi grunts in disbelief. It's no secret that Frida has feelings for Kenzie, but that was 1 year ago, she thought Frida had forgotten about Kenzie. But what did he just hear?
His daughter-in-law was despised and denigrated right in front of her own, how could Umi not be angry at Frida?
"Indring, I know that he may indeed be carried away by emotions but I can't believe that he didn't mean to be evil to Azira. Humiliating and insulting my son-in-law inside my own house, do you believe that he has no meaning? Indring, please explain to your daughter well that even though Azira came to this house in a bad way but she has got the blessing of all of us in this house. Aside from the members of this house even though they said they did not agree, it was not their right to expel my son-in-law let alone to insult him! I would never allow anyone to insult my son-in-law because ever since she was accepted by Kenzie, she has been my daughter ever since. Indring, don't tell me that I'm an abusive woman and don't have the heart to drive you out. Before Frida apologizes and gets an apology from my daughter, then I hope you guys no longer need to come to this house. I don't need people who don't respect my family members let alone insult them." Umi said firmly with a trembling voice.
It was hard for him to describe how he felt now. It was not her who was insulted indeed, but the daughter-in-law whom she had started to regard as her own daughter. If only he who heard felt angry and hurt heard the insults, what about Azira?
Fight off?
Too bad, Azira is not that weak. Actually he is very capable but has many ways to do it.
He's not as stupid as Frida.
Glancing at Frida, she smiled slightly.
Frida is deeply shaken with Umi's anger and cries loudly while hugging Indring's aunt. He deeply regretted what he said to make Umi angry. Because of this, Umi's belief in him may not be what he used to be.
"I'm sorry..Umi. I really didn't mean to insult Azira.I just said what the other family felt and asked Azira. I. Admit that I'm a bit emotional because I feel sorry for Kenzie. I don't want Kenzie's sister living in an unhealthy household. What I'm saying is true, Umi..." Frida says she makes her own excuses.
The reason was indeed reasonable but Umi did not want to hear it at all let alone believe it. He could not believe that the harsh words were not intentionally done to demean Azira.
"Azira, go inside, son. Prepare dinner for your husband. He'll be home from the hospital soon."
Since Frida would not apologize to Azira, there was nothing more to talk about. She drags Azira into the house and leaves the couple Mother and child in the yard.
"Ma.." Frida keeps crying out heartache ignored by Umi.
"It's your own careless fault. My mom told me not to make trouble here! But you don't listen to Mama's advice. Now look what you've done? Umi is very angry and intends to drive us out of the house!" Aunt Indring's complaint to her daughter.
Frida shook her head and refused to leave. He won't leave this house before he gets what he wants.
"I don't want to.hiks.help me, Ma. I don't want to go.." Please Frida.
Aunt Indring shook her head in a headache.
"If you don't want to go immediately apologize to Azira. Umi said as long as you apologize and are forgiven by Azira, then you can still stay in this house." This is the only way.
Even if she didn't want to see her daughter plead to a woman who had no where in the world, Indring's aunt had no other solution. He had to persuade Frida to do this, or else? Then it's all over.
"I don't want to.." He apologized to Azira.
Aunt Indring is getting dizzy from Frida's stubborn cries and rejection.
"Then pack your things and get out of this house. You think we still have the face to stay here after what you said to Azira?" Aunt Indring laughed grimly at the sight of her incompetent and foolish son.
She wondered where her daughter got this cowardly character from?
Because both her and her husband are not as stupid as Frida. Is this due to the effect of love?
"Ma.I'm.."
"Whatever." Aunt Indring did not want to serve her daughter anymore and left immediately.
