"Choose what you like. Don't hesitate to take it." Kenzie said as he sat himself on the couch.
They are currently in a Muslim clothing boutique. From superiors to subordinates and from the outside to the interior, everything is complete for the needs of the women. Judging from the price range of items in this store, Azira would never set foot into this place when using her own money. But Kenzie is the one who asks, so he does not need to hesitate.
"I... I'll help. If ka-... I mean if anyone likes Azira, just tell me." Sasa dared himself to speak to Azira.
His tone was polite and his eyes were shady. He was very different when he first met. Azira was surprised by the sudden change.
"Yes... This is my first time coming here so please help me. Mr. Kenzie..." Azira called Kenzie.
Kenzie turned his attention away from the phone in front, one of his eyebrows raised as a sign of asking.
"Sasa and I will buy clothes together. That way... The clothes I borrowed seem to be non-refundable so can I replace them with new clothes?" He hesitates to ask.
This is Kenzie's money and not his.
There was a surprise flashed within Kenzie's eyes. Smiling faintly, he generously nodded his head in agreement. Seeing that Sasa was very happy. At first he wanted to reject the idea because he felt guilty about the clothes he had lent Azira. All the clothes were ugly and the plan would be thrown away. But out of anger with Azira, he decided to lend her the ugly clothes. It was unexpected that his evil deeds were repaid with milk by Azira. The woman he looked down on all this time.
Shame in heart.
"thank you. I'm happy to get the first gift from my sister-in-law." His whisper was awkward before Azira and Kenzie.
Sasa shook his head in denial.
"This is a gift. Whatever Azira says I still take it as a gift." Embarrassed by her brother's gaze, she took Azira's hand and pulled her inside to start shopping.
Kenzie was left alone outside. He got bored and decided to look through the emails. Taking time off does not mean he is free from work. Even his absence makes work pile up. But fortunately he did some tasks that can be done at home so that the burden of work in the hospital is not too heavy.
"Hello assalamualaikum, Abah." Kenzie is suddenly contacted by Abah.
"Today don't go home too soon. If you can go home tonight." Abah's request is strange. Normally Abah would ask him to come home soon but why is it the opposite this time?
"It depends on both of them Abah. If Azira and Sasa can finish all their groceries this afternoon, then we will be home soon. What's at home?" Could there be something Abah is hiding?
"Don't go home too soon. Pity your sister and your wife. Some days I have a bad mood. He needed entertainment to lighten his mood. While your wife also needs entertainment to reflect. You know that at home he has a lot of pressure from Umi. So Abah asked you to comfort them both until the mood in their hearts improved." Abah's reason for entering but somehow Kenzie doubted him.
If Abah doesn't want to tell him then let it go. He won't ask. After all what Abah said was quite true that Sasa and Azira needed time to calm the heart that had been tossed around for a few days.
Especially for Azira.... Which is still gray. Kenzie intends to investigate who Azira is and how she can fit into the Humairah family. She has an intuition that Azira is not a stranger to her. They seemed to have met a few years ago. But this is vague and unclear truth.
