Chapters 10.1
Returning home the first person to greet Kenzie in front of the house was not Azira, but Frida who was on guard at the door. Descending from the car Frida immediately ran up to him while crying.
"Mas Kenzie..." Frida reached out her hand to grab Kenzie's hand, but Kenzie immediately dodged it and retreated a few steps to the side to keep her distance from Frida.
Frida is stunned by Kenzie's immediate rejection. His heart was immediately sad and he immediately lowered his hands feeling embarrassed.
"Why are you crying?" Ask Kenzie in a boring tone.
And Frida was getting saddened to hear Kenzie's flat tone of voice. Why would Kenzie behave like this to him?
Kenzie should have shown his care and kindness at this point when he saw her crying.
"That's.." Frida lowered her head.
"I had a fight with Azira, mas. Last afternoon I accidentally talked rudely to Azira and heard the same Umi. Umi was immediately angry with me and wanted to throw me out of the house if I did not apologize to Azira. I want to apologize but Azira does not want to apologize, mas. Moreover, all of this was originally from Azira himself. If Azira does not talk strangely with me, where might I say rude to him. But Azira did not want to tell me about his rude words to me and instead accused me of bothering him first. Oh, my God, my... Am I that kind of person? How could I possibly bother others if they didn't bother me first. I was so sad and confused who to ask for help. Because Umi and Abah did not listen to my explanation. Let them not be, my parents just don't want to believe what I'm saying. They were all just listening to Azira's words. Besides Kenzie, where else should I ask for help? I'm sure the only person who's fair in this house is Kenzie. So I waited for Kenzie to come home because I wanted to ask for help. Mas Kenzie, even if Azira is your wife, but she's the one who made the mistake first. So please establish justice for me and give understanding to Umi, that I really have no intention of speaking rudely to Azira." Please Frida make up the story.
Why would he dare to make up stories to Kenzie?
It was because Kenzie and Azira did not have a good relationship even though they were husband and wife now. She is still steadfast in her belief that Azira cannot get into Kenzie's heart and in fact, she is convinced that Kenzie is very angry and even hates Azira for having ruined her marriage with Humairah.
He believed that in Kenzie's eyes, the wild woman was nothing.
"Oh, you got into a fight with my wife?" Ask Kenzie interested.
Frida nodded sadly. His sadness was not made up because he felt threatened to be expelled by Umi and Abah.
"Hem, interesting." Kenzie muttered with a smile that was no longer referred to as a smile.
Strange, Frida shuddered at that smile. It was clearly a smile, yet somehow it could not fit into his eyes.
"Kenzie, why stay outside, let's go in, son?" Umi called from inside.
When she saw Frida beside Kenzie, her face was immediately unfriendly. He gave a cold snort while urging Kenzie to enter the house immediately.
