Mahram To Azira

Reminded of her mistake, Umi lowered her head sadly. He's too impulsive. Outraged and disappointed in Azira, he took Mama Humairah's request for granted. His mind said that indeed Humairah was a woman worthy of her son and not Azira. So he took their arrival without informing Abah first.

"I'm sorry Umi, Abah. Umi has crossed the line because of trapped emotions. If Umi knew the truth then Umi wouldn't let them come." Umi spoke in an embarrassed tone to Abah.

Abah sipped a warm tea in his cup. Sighing, he was not too angry with Umi when he thought about Umi's suffering for some time because of Kenzie's marriage. Any woman would probably have the same reaction as Umi. Abah should be grateful that Umi still wants to accept Azira after listening to the secret. If it was another woman, it was a bit hard to accept even if Azira was the son of the one who had saved her husband's life.

"It's no big deal, I've forgotten it."

Umi breathed a sigh of relief.

Anxious, "Then what should I do now Abah? I have left a bad impression on Azira and she may hate me."

Abah smiled widely, amused by the anxiety of his wife. He patted Umi's shoulder lightly to comfort the uneasiness in the heart.

"Don't think too much, Azira can't possibly hate you. From now on treat him as well as you treat Sasa. Then tonight make him something delicious as a form of apology. Poor thing, he lives in this city and gets a lot of suffering. Abandoned by her father, she has never felt the true affection of the family. So it's our job to provide a home for him. Giving him the family warmth he didn't get from his father. Is Umi ready?"

Umi nodded without hesitation. He's willing. If Azira is bad, then he can help her to improve. And Umi is willing to be a second mother to Azira, she is really ready.

Late in the afternoon, the three of them finally returned home. Today was very memorable for Azira, because she could buy whatever she wanted and Sasa was willing to speak well to her. In just a very short time they became familiar - well, although not very - but this is good news for Azira.

Seeing Kenzie's house in front, Azira is again nervous because she has to meet Umi, the person who dislikes her the most in this house.

The front door was opened by someone. Azira is surprised to see the person who opened the door is none other than Umi. Surprisingly Umi smiled very widely and walked towards Azira.

Kenzie has no idea what he wants Umi to approach Azira. Unknowingly he stopped his hand from taking things from the trunk of the car. Standing quietly behind the car he noticed Umi greeting his wife.

"Umi couldn't say that to Azira. I'm not lazy to go into the shops, but I'm lazy to wait for you ladies who are very difficult to serve in the store. Besides I also still have uses, look," Kenzie showed the items in both hands, "During shopping these items were brought by me." She nodded with a helpless smile.

Umi and Sasa laughed at Kenzie's complaint. Indeed, every time he went shopping with Kenzie, he only had one use, which is a free carrier. Besides, they both raised their hands.

"Azira, next time you go take Abah and Sasa. They're both much more useful than Kenzie." Umi joked to Azira.

Azira smiled shyly, rather she felt awkward with the sudden change of Umi's attitude towards her.

"Umi, Kenzie mas. helped us a lot in the mall earlier. He doesn't complain about carrying our stuff and isn't mad to see us spending his money." Azira innocently defended Kenzie.

Sasa felt helpless, "Sir Azira, Umi is joking. She's flirting with brother."

Azira's face was hot. He also knew that they were joking but he could not help but defend Kenzie.

"Son, it's his duty as your husband. You have the right to spend money and you deserve to be looked after by it."

Umi now noticed it. Azira has a rather poor and thin skin as if lacking food. At first glance he knew that Azira had gone through a difficult life. Abandoned by my own father?

Umi thought about it. He did not expect that people who are respected and always polite have a black heart. Even a tiger will not eat its cubs, so why would a father abandon his cubs to the brink of destruction?

"You must be tired. Come on in, Umi's been cooking a lot of food for the three of you. All the food on the table you have to spend, otherwise Umi won't talk to you anymore." Umi continued talking while pulling Azira and Sasa into the house.

While Kenzie at the back was overwhelmed carrying a lot of stuff.

"What happened while I was gone?" Kenzie was confused.

Because the change in Umi's attitude was too big, he felt that something had happened to Umi.
