Humairah was very confident that Kenzie would not mention Azira's name and he was also more sure that Azira only confessed because their names sounded the same.
Azira smiled coldly.
"If you don't believe me, ask Kenzie directly." Tell Azira it's cold.
Could Kenzie have refused to admit it?
Well, this might just be because the person Kenzie wants to marry is Humairah and not Azira.
Or maybe Azira just misheard it earlier when the kabul ijab took place.yah, this may be...but why is the feeling so real?
"Mas Kenzie?" Humairah called with hopeful eyes.
Kenzie raised his head staring at the wet and messy face of Humairah, smiling apologetically, he then turned his gaze to look at the two old men Humairah.
"He was right, the name I mentioned when Ijab kabul was his name, Azira Humaira and not Azira Humairah." Admit Kenzie took everyone by surprise.
Bugs
Azira closed her eyes in shock and did not expect it because Kenzie actually admitted it and did not even make an excuse to evade Azira's claim.
Azira's heart rippled strangely, the same feeling again when Kenzie mentioned his name when the akad was.
Kenzie's confession sparked another conversation among the guests. They guessed that Kenzie and Azira might have known each other and secretly planned this marriage. Otherwise, why would Kenzie suddenly mention the name of another woman instead of mentioning the name Humairah.
This bad rumor instantly spread like wildfire, making endless commotion here.
"What?" Humairah immediately fell to the floor.
Fortunately, Mama and Aunt Sifa immediately held both arms.
"Kenzie, what the hell is this?!" Umi asked angry at her son.
Kenzie stared at Uminya's face which was still in shock and angry.
"Azira is my wife, Umi." Kenzie replied in a low voice.
"You!" Umi pointed to her son who suddenly made no sense.
How could this foreign woman be his daughter-in-law?!
Umi does not want to accept it and does not approve of this marriage because the daughter-in-law he expects is Humairah, not Azira.
Kenzie knows that Umi is very dissatisfied with him and he also knows that Umi is very angry with him now. Therefore, he did not reply to Uminya's words and just stood still to see Umi's anger while hoping that Umi's anger soon receded.
"Mas Kenzie, this marriage can't be legal because what you want to marry is me, not this girl, right?"
Humairah can't let go of all this. She insists that Kenzie is her future husband and the person Kenzie wants to marry is her, and not Azira.
Azira is just a foreign woman to Kenzie and they don't know each other, so how could Kenzie marry a foreign woman he's never met before?
Unfortunately, Kenzie once again disappointed his expectations.
Azira lowered her head feeling a complicated feeling in her heart. She was confused as to why Kenzie would marry her and not blame her for this marriage?
Kenzie should have been angry that he had ruined his wedding day with Humairah.
"So.... Do you admit she's my wife?" As he asked this, the intense feeling of pain continued to hit his heart.
Wh why?
It's her wedding day but why did it become like this?
He should be happy, right?
Kenzie took a deep breath and replied in a firm and powerful tone of voice, "True, she is my wife."
"How come, my mother?" Humairah held her breath as the pain began to pour down on her heart, as if a blunt object was forcing her to tear through her body.
She said in pain, "I am your future wife, I am the woman you will marry, I am the one you should marry! Why are you doing this to me?! He's Dad's bastard! He can't marry you and this marriage is not legal!" In her burning grief, Humairah unknowingly reveals her family secrets to everyone.
He accidentally leaked his father's disgrace in front of the guests and his besi who once again invited whispers from the guests.
"A bastard?" Abi asked in shock looking at Father.
Dad was so embarrassed. His face was instantly whitened stared at by many pairs of eyes. Though he plans to change the identity of Azira as an adopted child so that the harmonious image of his family in the outside world is not polluted. But the plan can not be done anymore because Humairah has revealed it to the outside world first.
Aunt Safa cursed Azira a thousand times in her heart and was forced to explain, "We still haven't done any DNA tests to confirm it so she can't be considered my brother's illegitimate child."
Azira smiled coldly. Luckily he brought all his mother's stuff here. Otherwise, he might not be able to face this cruel family.
"Dad is my real father." Azira said.
"And I'm not an illegitimate child, but a legitimate son of Father. I was Dad's first daughter because Humairah was born a few months after I was born into this world." Clearly, passion for everyone.
He was not at all afraid of Aunt Safa's sharp eyes staring at him with bulging eyes, as if those eyeballs could come out at any moment.
"What empty muzzle are you talking about?!" Bibi Safa was eager to squeeze Azira's insolent mouth to stop making trouble.
Azira was not afraid of her burning gaze. Under everyone's gaze she took something from inside her wedding dress. Humairah's wedding dress is quite heavy and complicated, so Azira has trouble taking her trump card from her underwear.
"This is my mother's wedding book when she married me." Azira said as she raised her right hand showing a red wedding book in front of everyone.
Without waiting for Safa's aunt or Father to refute her words, Azira then raised her left hand to show everyone a photo.
"And this is a picture of Mom and Dad getting married in my mom's hometown."
This is a photo of Mom and Dad's wedding 23 years ago. In the photo, Dad uses a very simple oversized black suit while Mom only uses ordinary kebaya clothes. They were young with brilliant smiles on each other's faces as if this marriage was a once in a lifetime marriage that was very promising.
"Mother's wedding book and this photo show that I'm not Dad's bastard. But I am the legitimate son of Father who was deliberately abandoned!"
There was a sour feeling in her heart when it showed two of Mother's most precious items. Because these two items are still good and not dirty even though they have been stored for years. It's as if I'm still hoping that Dad will come back.
It's just an illusion, a fact.
