Moonlight After Sunset's
[S2E18] Grassland

"Whatever sweet love you feel, it's just an illusion."

*****************#####*****************

The silent atmosphere did not stop the twilight footsteps in the dark night. He kept running mad while showing off a sinister sneer grin to anyone who saw.

The smile was different from before, there was no grudge or emotion in it, only a chill emanating from it. His eyes emitted a bright moonlight, thus making his appearance much more mysterious than before.

"I don't care what he does there, as long as he doesn't touch mine, then it's negligible."

Dusk was now approaching the area of the Empress Pavilion. He only needed to pass through the long and large wall before him to be able to enter it.

Of course, it did not take long for Dusk to be able to break through the stone wall. He used his wind technique to jump over the wall. Although Dusk very rarely used this wind technique, but still he could easily do it.

For Dusk fire magic was more efficient compared to wind magic, but that did not mean that his wind magic was inappropriate, it was just that he had not been proficient in using both simultaneously.

"I'll ask him to teach me to control both," murmured Dusk as he thought of his new teacher.

Dusk was also curious as to who the teacher would replace Prof Edward in teaching him later. Is that person better or just.

"Curtain!"

Dusk stopped running as he looked at the Duke who was standing on the second floor of the Pavilion. His face looked pale with bruised hands that were slightly dripping with blood.

"What's wrong with her?" inner Dusk while continuously focusing his eyes on the Duke's hand.

"Did he destroy something?" he continued while trying to hide from the Duke's sight.

"Hahaha, why would I care about him? He doesn't even care..."

Dusk stopped laughing as he recalled the incident earlier this afternoon where the Duke indifferently threw the medicinal herbs at him.

"Damn," grumbled at Dusk as he looked back at the still pensive Duke up there. He tried to be indifferent and continued to step away from the place.

With the furious feeling of Dusk leaving the Duke alone, he did not even know since when the Duke began to care about him. Or even he did not care about it, according to him it would be better if the Duke continued to ignore him just like before.

After a long step now Dusk is in the garden area behind the pavilion. The place looks calm with a lot of roses and Lily flowers that spread almost in every corner.

With a single move of his hand, a small hole emerged from behind a nearby tree. The tree was as if it was splitting the ground beneath it so that a crack began to appear from there.

Dusk smiled again, now his face brightened meaningfully. He hoped to find something very special from that place, and with a single spell, his magic barrier disappeared.

Before entering Dusk had time to make eye contact with Eza. He did not need to say anything because Eza already understood what his task was at the moment. Eza resolutely nodded his head at Dusk before he disappeared from behind the pavilion wall.

As soon as Eza disappeared, Dusk disappeared from the place. He casually entered the basement which was now covered in tree roots.

It looks old but Dusk can estimate that this basement has been built since 15 years ago. That means, Empress Rose made this when Dusk was just three years old.

When Dusk was about to open the door he subconsciously glanced at the door knob that had never existed before. The knob somehow just appeared and this made Dusk curious and as Dusk took a closer look he saw an alphabet that was familiar to him.

"Rulina?"

As far as Dusk was in this world he had never seen anyone speaking using the alphabet. Dusk had thought that the writing in this world and earth was very much different but that feeling was a little ambiguous at this time.

"Where did Empress Rose learn the alphabet? Obviously if this world uses a Jotun language that is much different from the earth so why is the empress...?"

The thought of the Twilight continued to wander for answers as to why the Empress Rose could use the earth alphabet.

"Did the queen come from the earth? but how? No, this is definitely not possible."

Dusk who felt dizzy decided to enter the room without rethinking about the condition of the empress. After all, the empress had died a long time ago so there was no need to bother about it anymore.

"Snack."

Dusk did not find the usual strange figure that often appeared every time he entered this place. The figure seemed to disappear after Dusk saw sometimes the grass and various oddities in this room.

Exactly like the memories played before, this place had no change at all. Dusk can still see strange plants that live and move, rivers of milk flowing quietly and thousands of chocolate trees that emit a fragrant aroma like toast.

"This place is more like an intoxicating illusion."

Dusk decided to browse the place and see what things were presented there. Far away he went around until he realized that the longer he was there, the better the condition of his physical body and soul.

"This place is perfect for recuperating." murmured Dusk as the poison still remaining in his body disappeared rapidly.

"I'll meditate and see if there's any meaningful change or not."

Dusk then walked straight towards the large tree beside him. The tree was right on top of a hill surrounded by small red mushrooms. When he saw the Dusk mushroom he remembered the little hedgehog he had brought from the forest.

"I'll send a letter to Luna to take her to the party."

After feeling comfortable, dusk begins to close his eyes and focus on meditation. By the time he first started the Dusk meditation he had already felt a small energy permeate his body. The energy was so pure and holy that it left him unfocused for a moment.

"Damn it, this energy drives me crazy." said Dusk as he refocused on his meditation.

It has been 30 minutes but Dusk still can not focus with his meditation. Every time he tries to focus, someone bothers him. Whether it was a small animal rising above his feet or a wild energy entering freely.

Dusk could not easily let the wild energy permeate his body. The energy was so pure that it made Dusk feel a little pain if the energy entered without being filtered first.

Pure energy is energy that comes from nature. This energy is so powerful that it makes it difficult to control. If this energy enters freely then the owner of the body will feel intense pain such as dizziness and nausea.

"I'll find out more details later," murmured Dusk before leaving the place.
