Moonlight After Sunset's

Moonlight After Sunset's
[S2E87] Hunting Missions

"If you're not strong then be smart because that's the best way to survive."

****************######****************

Evan and Noime's quarrel continued even though they had already come out of the guard tower. Surprisingly no one stopped Evan's nagging at Noime as if it was a common thing for both.

"Uhm, where is this?" inner Dusk when looking at the spacious room in front of him.

Although they were not far from the guard tower but what was seen by Dusk was not a city or village but a vast expanse of grassland.

This is very awkward because usually the guard tower is in the border area to keep an area of power that is not entered by other parties.

"Noime, if you keep going like this I'll really give up!" yelled Evan who made the Dusk daydream fade away instantly.

Even though Dusk was used to Evan's high tone but still he continued to be shocked every time he heard Evan raise an octave of his voice.

According to Dusk, Evan had such a strong firm voice that whenever he cried out involuntarily Dusk was always in shock. Hence Dusk could only sigh while refocusing his mind.

At least that was what Dusk thought until Evan who could not stand it anymore with Noime began to distract him. He confusedly looked at Dusk before turning his attention back to Noime.

"What mouse did you bring?" evan asked still in a annoyed tone.

"Rice? Meaning me?" the Darkness is not pleased.

"I'm sorry, I did...."

"It's none of your business" cut off Noime who didn't let Dusk get his heart out.

"Huh? Not my business? Noime you're crazy, aren't you? We've come all the way here to hunt not for friendly tadika."

Evan complains non-stop, knowing that Noime likes to act as he pleases. But this is another problem, they are currently on a mission instead of doing something like a child's game.

"Calm down Evan, let me explain." exclaimed Noime while pulling Evan's wrist and taking him away from Dusk.

Seeing the two moving away, Dusk decided to relax while waiting for them to return. He knew that at this time Noime would make various excuses so that he could be accepted into the group.

"Miss, the forest..."

"I know," cut the Dusk which made Ristia pause for a moment.

"Miss, you have to stay away from the forest." continued Ristia before going back to sleep.

"Hmmm..."

Seeing Ristia's strange behavior made Dusk only be able to sigh deeply. Somehow lately the nature of Ristia is not much different from Kun.

"Normally Ristia is always active even though I don't respond much, but this is.." Inner Dusk when looking at Ristia's innocent sleeping face.

Not wanting to take a dizzy dusk just stared intently at the forest before turning his attention towards Noime and Evan who were arguing intensely.

Honestly, Dusk does not know what Evan and Noime are talking about, but from the gesture both of Dusk can know that they are currently fighting about something.

"Well it's very clear that what they are discussing is none other than me." murmured the twilight indifferently.

Dusk then looked back at the forest in front of him. Indeed, the distance between himself and the forest is still very far, maybe about one kilo meter.

But from such a distance Dusk can already see the negative aura coming out of the forest. The aura emitted was so strong that Dusk was sure that not a single creature was normal in the forest.

The reason Dusk could give such a conclusion was because the negative aura was so thick and stinky. Even though Dusk had contracted with Khalid but his sensitive senses could still see the various auras of living beings.

Dusk knew that the contractual relationship between himself and Khalid only made his power suppressed but that did not mean that the power would be blunt and lost from him.

Dusk can still see the aura but it is not as intelligent as it once was. For now he can manage his strength but sometimes that power can leak when the aura released by the opponent is so strong.

"In addition I have not seen Khalid until now. He just disappeared after the incident back then, it's so annoying."

Dusk begins to get upset when he remembers Khalid disappearing without a trace. There wasn't even any message or hint that Khalid was leaving all this time.

That is what makes Dusk upset but he can not do anything because he is still in the stage of undergoing the test. If he just ran away then his efforts all this time will be wasted.

On the other hand Noime who was tired of Evan's babbling began to take action. He planned to explain what happened so that the girl went along with him.

"Is this Noime?" evan was annoyed.

"Shut up stupid," Noime said.

"You.., shit."

Evan wanted to explode right then and there but seeing Noime's serious look made him retreat for a moment. At least he still had the conscience not to fight Noime at this moment.

"Who is he?" evan started getting serious with their conversation.

"Hah, as you know." Noime replied flatly.

"I don't know, after all how can I know if you don't explain it at all." Evan denied a second later.

"Hmm, how else" said Noime who then decided to explain who the girl was.

"He's a junior I should be mentoring. Besides, you can't judge her from her face alone, she's really terrible." Noime exclaimed as he glanced at the girl who was currently standing casually facing the forest.

"You mean?" evan asked confusedly.

"Evan, you'll soon know what I mean after mingling with him." Noime replied briefly.

Then accompanied by a long sigh Noime decided to return to the girl. Unfortunately, just a few steps his wrist has been pulled back by Evan.

"Explain to me in detail Noime. I can't wait any longer." said Evan slowly.

"In addition, I don't like going around with people I don't know." Evan continued with a serious look.

Seeing Evan's stern expression, Noime finally decided to explain it. He said that when he was about to meet Evan at the promised time, he was accidentally caught in the trap of the girl.

Noime had no choice but to comply with the girl's wishes. If he did not want to then a clash would happen to both of them. Honestly, at that time, Noime was able to use his strength against the girl.

But given that the mission they will do later makes Noime think twice when they want to attack. I don't know why Noime knew the results would be so futile.

"I was trapped in the dome, I tried hard to destroy it but it was in vain" exclaimed Noime who still remembered how hard the dome he was about to destroy.

"I don't know what artifact he used but it was clear at the time that things were very unfavorable" he continued.

Noime could have fought with the girl but the risk of the outcome of the fight was extremely disadvantageous for him. In addition to the academy's rules prohibiting top-level seniors from injuring their juniors, a point-reduction penalty applies there as well.

"That moment...."

"Wait a minute, before you explain to me who he is?" cut Evan in the middle of Noime's explanation."

Noime could only let out a long sigh while shaking his head. He knows Evan is a smart student but for this he really looks stupid.

"Hah Evan, my God. Don't you know him? He and you, you two are both nobles." Noime erased.

"Heh Noime, you should know the nobles in this continent there are many. Do you think I'm a psychic?" evan's grumbling was equally upset.

"Well, that girl is called Dusk de Ari. Duke Ari's main daughter is also the former fiance of the fifth prince." explained Noime who immediately made Evan surprised instead of playing.

"Noime, are you serious?" ask Evan to make sure.

"Of course, do you think I'm kidding in this situation?" noime asked annoyed.

After hearing Noime's confirmation, Evan subconsciously looked towards Dusk blatantly. He cynically stared at Dusk from head to toe.

According to Evan Dusk is a strange girl figure that he has only ever heard from word of mouth. Honestly, even though Evan was a noble, he had never even seen the figure of Dusk at all.

"I just saw her this time and well as rumored she is indeed beautiful." muttered Evan who sounded clearly in Noime's ear.

"Bas an idiot, just look at the pretty girl your eyes are wide open." Noime grumbled as he hit hard on Evan with his bare fist.

"It hurts." erang Evan as he stroked the lump on his head slowly.

"It's rude, it's worth it...."

PLAQUE PLAQUE PLAQUE

Not yet had Evan finish his sentence he had found a blow from Noime. Of course Evan can only surrender while protecting his head from Noime's hard blow.

"Bas an idiot, I've told you that her beautiful face is very inversely proportional to her nature" Noime exclaimed on the sidelines of her punch.

"He is the real definition of an angelic-faced demon." continued Noime who only answered a flat cry by Evan.

"Huh shit, I don't know why I've guessed this in the first place." Noime inner before stopping his punch.

Honestly, Noime was tired of reminding Evan about the people around him. So if Evan believes him or not, Noime doesn't care anymore.

"Well at least as long as Dusk doesn't cross the line then it will be fine." murmured Noime quietly who could only be heard by himself.

"Evan, listen to me carefully. I will explain the outcome of the negotiations between me and him." exclaimed Noime while glancing at Dusk who was still watching the forest before him.

"Ugh, fine." replied Evan while allowing his clothes.

Noime then resumed his story. He who is aware of his position begins to negotiate. Surely the negotiation he would make was very profitable for his side.

Surely Dusk also intends to do the same. Each of them has their own purpose. Dusk wants a point to be able to raise his class and Noime needs a point to be able to graduate from the academy.

The middle path taken is that Dusk is willing to help Noime in his mission and Noime will voluntarily give his assessment to Dusk without any other additional missions.

"Another condition of this condition is that the girl should not interfere with our mission." exclaimed Noime who answered a nod of the head by Evan.

"I asked him to sign a letter of agreement that if he had an accident on this mission then it would be his own responsibility." Noime continued, pointing out the letter.

"Noime, you're crazy." exclaimed Evan after finishing reading all the terms offered by Noime at Dusk.

"Hey calm down, that's what I'm doing for both of us." Noime replied unhappily.

"I've explained to her that this mission is dangerous but she doesn't care" Noime continued, recalling the moment when Dusk easily agreed to the terms.

"Hmm, this isn't right Noime, there's something wrong with his brain" Evan said anxiously.

"You've only realized it now." Noime sarcasm sneered.

Evan who received the ridicule could only sigh deeply without being able to reply. He did not want to make things even more chaotic so Evan decided to stay quiet.

"Noime, he did something." whispered Evan as he was about to hand the letter back to Noime.

"What do you mean?" noime asked confused while turning his body to look at Dusk.

There Noime saw Dusk tying a red ribbon at the seagull's feet. Not long after the bird flew away from Dusk towards the south.

"That's a letter," Noime murmured softly.

"He's sending someone a letter, so don't be too excited" Noime exclaimed as he shouted loudly in front of Evan's face.

"Ugh, my ears." Evan groaned in pain.

"I told you to focus on listening to my explanation, Evan." exclaimed Noime annoyed.

Evan who was scolded by Noime could only be silent and resigned. After that, Noime explained the contents of the agreement.

Noime said that the letter was legal and if either party violated the agreement then the punishment would be severe. Therefore Evan need not fear anymore that they will be arrested for bringing a junior on a dangerous mission.

In addition, Noime also explained if Dusk has good skills as a witch. Surely they also need a witch figure as a complement to the mission.

"His skills as a long-range fighter will be very profitable for us" Noime explained.

"He will guard our backs from the enemy during the fight. Isn't that great?" noime continued later.

"Hmm, you're right. Even though we are knights but still fighting without tanks and support is very uncomfortable" Evan replied after a moment of silence.

"But Noime the risk is still...."

"No, the risk is minimal. Anyway do you think I'm that bad at junior huh? I also thought about his condition so I've decided that being a support is his responsibility for this mission."

Evan is silent, he knows that Noime has thought about the worst conditions of this mission. If they failed and had to be seriously injured at least their junior could still survive because he could escape before the enemy got to his position.

"Noime are you planning on making us into shields and letting him escape if things get worse?"

"Well, I hope that never happens. After all since the beginning of our mission is difficult, no matter how we will indeed be a shield for others."

"Hmm.., you're right. I don't think that's a bad idea."

After that, Noime and Evan continued their discussion until it took an hour. And finally they decided to make Dusk as a sniper who will support the fight from a distance.

Dusk who heard the final verdict from the discussion of course accepted it without rebuttal. He does not matter what he wants to be positioned as, anyway he thinks whatever it is as long as it is not against the devil will be fine.

"Well if everyone agrees, let's go to the village."
