After knowing the fact that he had broken the record, Dusk grew pale. He did not want his strength to be known by many parties, so Dusk promised not to overdo it in the other two sessions.
"I have to be careful this time." Inner Dusk while wiping the remaining water on his lips.
"Amir, I'll go to the toilet for a while, if my number is called just tell me to wait for five minutes."
"All right, but are you sure you're okay?"
"Of course."
Dusk then stood up from his seat and stepped away towards the other side of the waiting room. A few minutes later Dusk returned with a fresher face.
Of course, when Dusk returns, the second practice session has begun. Twilight leisurely sat back in her chair and watched the student's performance.
One-by-one of them were called to perform and it certainly didn't take long for just less than two minutes the students had already managed to kill the goblins.
"Number 4" shouted the staff who replaced Prof Philip to call the participants.
Two minutes had passed and the staff called the number of the other participants. This time it was Amir's turn to perform. He firmly stepped onto the podium.
Just like the other students it didn't take long for Amir to kill the goblin. He seemed to be enjoying the moment his wind magic sharply slashed the goblin's neck.
"Like a knife" said one of the students who was two seats beside Dusk.
"She was strong so many students didn't like her." replied the other student who was behind the student.
"He is blah.blah..."
Because of the accidental exclamation many students are now starting to gossip about Amir. They look not like and somehow there is a feeling of fear towards the figure of Amir.
The twilight who heard their strange chatter felt that Amir was not what they had said. Amir is very kind and innocent, he is quite shy and friendly.
Even though Dusk once caught Amir doing something strange but it could not be used as a motive to hate him.
When Dusk was busy thinking about speculation about Amir, he was suddenly surprised by the sound of Amir who sounded quite soft.
"Goblin is such a stupid monster that it's easy for us to kill him" Amir exclaimed before sitting in his chair.
"Ah, so." replied Dusk in shock but a second later it returned to how it was.
"You, you look fine." continued Dusk trying to divert his negative thoughts.
"Hahaha, of course I'm fine. Do you want me to give you tips?"
"No, I can do it penny..."
"I know that, I'm just asking you not to be taken too seriously." cut Amir who managed to make Dusk's face red with embarrassment.
"Are you like this often?"
"I'm sorry?"
"I asked, do you often act like this? It sucks."
"Ugh, sorry I teased you. I just want us closer."
"..."
"I think because we've talked a few times even you took the initiative to approach me, so I think we've become friends."
Amir looked sad and it was quite disturbing for Dusk. She dislikes being the center of everyone's attention but Amir's strange behavior towards her, it manages to get some students to notice them.
"Are we not friends?" amir asked with eyes that began to glaze over.
"Ugh, don't look at me like that." Inner Twilight claustrophobic.
"Lady, I can burn it if you want." whispered Khalid who had been watching the interaction between the two.
"Damn, don't start again." murmured Dusk annoyed.
"Silence, is...."
"Number 9" shouted the staff who called the number of the Dusk exam.
"I finally survived too," Inner Dusk with a relieved smile spread across his lips.
Dusk then left his chair, he deliberately did not wait for the continuation of Amir's question because it could make him stressed.
Amir who saw the back of Dusk away began to look moody. His eyes sharpened with a deep red light surrounding him.
"Hah, very tired." Amir's mind while flicking his hair back.
****
"Are you ready?" prof Philip asked with a smile as usual.
"Sud... wait Prof, you're not trying to test my patience again right?" tanya Dusk investigate.
"Pfft, no."
Prof Philip tried to hold back his laughter but it could be seen clearly by Dusk and some of the guards there.
"My profile is serious, don't overdo it." lamented Dusk unhappy.
"Alright, alright. You can start now."
"Huh,"
Dusk lazily said start and immediately the hologram displayed a small goblin with a black dagger in his left hand. It was obvious that this goblin was slightly smaller than a normal goblin.
"Unlike the goblins the other students call, this goblin looks smaller and left-handed." murmured Dusk as he stared dejectedly at Prof Philip.
But the funny thing was that Prof Philip only shrugged both of his shoulders indifferently before twitching back with a record of his judgment.
"I have to complain of protest after this, must."
Although annoyed at Dusk still continue his test, he reliably aimed at the vital point of the goblin but it was successfully blocked by a black dagger that looks attractive.
"I'm sure it's definitely not a dagger carelessly." murmured Dusk softly.
Dusk continued to attack and rolled to the right and left to get the perfect position. When Dusk felt that he was close enough to the goblin, he immediately pulled out his stash dagger.
Dusk tried to make a beautiful hole in the goblin's left chest, but unfortunately it was not deep enough and only made scratches.
It had been more than a minute Dusk did a manufer to knock the goblin down until in fifteen seconds before time ran out, Dusk was finally able to paralyze the goblin.
Unlike the first session, there was no one to applaud the victory of Dusk. Even though there are no supporters of Dusk still feel satisfied.
Dusk then descended from the podium to return to the waiting room. While passing the jury chair, Dusk accidentally heard the words of Prof Philip who managed to shake his heart.
"With this you can cover your abilities."
With the twilight reflex turned his body around but all he saw was the sour face of Prof Philip who was busy with a value notebook.
"Did I hear wrong? But it's impossible if I..."
"I will finish off the goblin faster than you" exclaimed a student who made Dusk return from his daydream.
"..."
"Look at it later," the student continued when he did not find any response from Dusk.
The student looked so arrogant with his sharp gray eyes that Dusk could see how determined he was in taking down the goblin.
"Did Ben bother you?" amir asked when Dusk had just sat in his chair.
"..."
"I don't care," replied Dusk indifferently.
Dusk was dizzy enough with his life and now he had to care about the lives of others. It was extremely troublesome so whatever they did to her, Dusk did not care at all.
"That's uhm, that's. Are we friends?" ask Amir again.
"Huh, I don't know. What do you think?"
Dusk deliberately asked back, he did not want to waste his energy on this matter. Honestly, Dusk does not care much about his friendship. For him as long as they don't bother it is enough.
"I'd rather be alone,"
Amir who heard the words of Dusk began to think seriously. Of course it was only this time that Dusk saw Amir's serious face. And it turned out to be quite entertaining for him.
"I see you as a friend, but you..."
Amir was silent for a moment as if he was ready to cry at any moment. Dusk who saw the sad look on Amir's face felt a little guilty but Dusk just kept quiet did not say anything.
"But, but what about you? Do you consider me a friend too?"
"I? Uhm, I don't know." reply Cold twilight.
"He reminds me of someone," Inner Dusk glanced at Khalid.
"Senja," call the sad Amir.
"I... I'm..."
"Of course we're friends, I was just kidding before." cut the twilight that can no longer be noticed by the students around him.
"really? It's so good."
Surprisingly Amir quickly changed his facial expression. It's like 180 degrees different than before. He looked so excited that even as his name was called to the podium for the third session, he left with a big smile on his lips.
"He's very manipulative, you have to be careful with him."
"Are you two not similar?"
"Hey, don't equate me with a weak human like him. I'm so..."
"But I think you two are the same."
"Lady, I'm telling you the truth. Usually people with such a trait are more dangerous than those who show it directly."
"All right, I get it."
Dusk then stopped his conversation with Khalid. He still has to focus on this third exam. Five people have failed to complete this session, including with Amir.
"I know there must be something wrong with this third session." Inner Twilight as she saw the number 14 participant standing stiff in front of the slime.
If viewed from the size of the body and physical strength then of course the student was superior to the slime in front of him but somehow only one minute of fighting began, the student was no longer able to move until the exam time was over.
"Even Amir did not say a word to me when he came back from the podium." shrieked Dusk as he looked at the pale face of Amir who was glued still with a cold drink in his hand.
"I'm sure something's going on there."
Dusk and some students who were still waiting their turn tried to remain calm. They did not expect that the third session was so difficult and when anyone managed to complete it, the student was instead sent immediately to another room.
"What the fuck? Even we are not allowed to ask those who have succeeded."
Many students find it frustrating to face this third session. And the moment when Dusk was called, he already realized that this would not be easy.
"Start," exclaimed Dusk and immediately a small bright blue slime appeared before his eyes.
The slime was so cute with a sweet smile and big eyes that shone like a cat. Unfortunately Dusk knew clearly that this slime was extremely dangerous, he also knew that the level of this monster was different from the level of other student monsters.
"I can't be rash, I have to..."
Dusk's words came to a halt as a loud voice exploded around him. The sound was so big that it made Dusk's eardrum hurt like it was getting into very deep water.
It felt so tight and somehow Dusk could not move his body. He realized that right now his body and mind were being controlled by the monster.
"Is this the reason why Prof Philip sounded that strange alarm." Inner Dusk recalled Prof Philip's mischievous face.
"I must be strong, however I do not want to fail in this third session." muttered Dusk while trying to cancel the slime attack.
It has been two minutes of Dusk trying but the results remain nil. He could not move his body at all, even his mind started floating and almost fainted.
With all the power that there was Dusk began to recite healing magic spells on him. According to Sera the healing magic spell not only healed the injured body but it could also restore one's mental state.
Slowly but surely green light started to come out from the body of Dusk. The light is like a shield that protects the twilight from the influence of the vibrational frequencies emitted by the slime.
It took a minute for Dusk to be able to perfectly regain control of his body. As soon as Dusk managed to retake his physical and mental, he then attacked the slime.
Even though it was small but the slime was quite agile in avoiding the Dusk attack. Not only that, even the liquid in his body was reactive enough that anything that came into direct contact with him would melt right then and there.
"Very acidic," watered down Dusk as the tip of her dress melted due to a spray of liquid from the body of the slime.
It took one 46 seconds for Dusk to finish off the slime. In the last second before the slime disappeared, Dusk could see Khalid standing right at the end of the podium.
Khalid looked quite worried, he looked at Dusk with a sad face as if afraid that Dusk would be hurt again.
"What's wrong with her?" mumbled before getting off the podium.
"Welcome you have succeeded, for the entire score will be announced when the exam session ends." exclaimed the staff who then guided Dusk to another room.
"Thank you," replied Dusk slowly.
"You can rest here or go straight back to the dorm. It's all up to you." he continued when they reached the entrance of the room.
"Good,"
Dusk then made the door and entered into it. There is quite quiet there is only a twilight. Seeing from the last words of the staff, Dusk was sure that the other participants had returned to their respective rooms.
Without wasting any time Dusk immediately left the room. He did not want to waste any more time and immediately headed for his dorm room.
Just when Dusk had entered his room, he was suddenly startled by the sighting of Khalid crying in the corner of the room.
"Good heart!" shouted the twilight that made Dian confused.
"What's wrong, miss? Are you sick?" tanya Dian while carrying a glass of warm water for Dusk.
"No, I'm just shocked." replied Dusk while taking the glass.
"I was surprised to see you in this room." continued Dusk after finishing drinking the water.
"Huh?"
Dian looks confused, he does not know since when the lady has been this absurd. Indeed, from the beginning, the lady was strange, but this time after coming home from the exam, the lady became even stranger.
"Oh, I'm fine. You can go now." exclaimed Dusk as he went to the bathroom.
"I can do it myself, just continue your training session" he continued which made Dian a little surprised.
"Well miss,"
A few minutes later Dusk was soaking in the bathtub and saw a faint blue light from behind the bathroom door. At that time Dusk was sure if Dian had left this place.
"Khalid, what's wrong with you?" ask Dusk after a moment of silence.
"..."
"Khalid, I won't repeat it a second time. So just answer me."
Hearing those words made Khalid tremble a little. He weakly opened his mouth but not a single word came out. I was angry that Dusk called him again.
"Khalid..."
"I saw a ghost" said Khalid slowly.
