Moonlight After Sunset's

Moonlight After Sunset's
The Eastern Region Pt 3

"Dead cities will always lead you to two things, peace or destruction."

******************#####****************

After finishing his lunch, Dusk then went to follow Agra towards the deepest area of the region. This area can be said to be separate from the outside area which means both the mining area and the new building area to be created by Dusk are far outside the area.

The eastern part of the region is very large, although what is seen is only a desert, but because of the extent of the area that makes Dusk divide it into three areas. First is the forbidden area, second is the inner area, and third is the cross-trade area.

The forbidden area is the area where diamond mining is done, so that all that can enter the place is Agra and also miners. In addition, the forbidden area is very isolated from the outside, because Dusk deliberately put up deceptive hallucinations.

This is so that those who see the place can only see the dry and barren desert. But in fact, the place is very fertile and full of date palms to support mining activities.

The second is the inner area which is an area that has never been touched by Dusk because there is a dead mana which amounts to even more than the other two areas.

The reason why the eastern region is uninhabitable is because of the dead that are there but it is not widely known by any party because as long as they come and go, they only roam in cross-trade areas.

This is what makes Dusk make a transparent barrier so that ordinary humans are not trapped inside the inner area. For the cross-trade area, Dusk deliberately made a large building with large land for Arthur and his two friends.

This was done so that they could make medicines more efficiently and sell them directly to traders who passed between the El-Aufi kingdom and the Green kingdom.

The rest was because of the refining power possessed by Vanilla, the forbidden area and the cross-trade area could be used, while for the inner area, they took many years to be able to purify it.

Therefore Dusk began to ignore the area.

"I had already made a deal with them for the mining line but hearing more details from Agra made me believe that they needed this place so badly,"

Just a moment ago, Dusk had informed Eza to help with the development due to the sudden change in academic schedule.

"Help them while you're here" exclaimed Dusk flatly.

"The academy will be opened in two weeks' time and I want the building to be finished quickly" continued Dusk as he put a fork on his plate.

"Well Miss, I understand," replied Eza briefly then went out together with Dian.

"I have to settle this matter quickly," murmured Dusk just then before he left with Agra towards the inner area.

"Welcome Miss," exclaimed an old man with a stick in his hand.

"Welcome Miss," said a few people behind the old man.

"Miss, they are the people of the city and he is..."

Agra's words came to a halt when the old man cut him off.

"My name is Bazel, and I am the mayor of this dead city Miss," Bazel exclaimed with a warm smile on his face.

"Oh so,"

"It turns out in this city also has a leader, yes it's natural anyway,"

"Agra, go and quickly finish your business," continued Dusk flat who even got a question mark from his subordinates.

"But Miss, I..."

Agra's words were interrupted when Dusk raised his hand.

"I didn't come here to take your time to work, so do what I told you before" said Senja annoyed.

Agra who knew that her miss was upset could only nod slowly before going out of the inner area.

"Miss, for a moment." - shrieked Agra before he actually walked out of the area.

"Bring Nindia, she's one of my confidants. At least you'll be safe with him" whispered Agra before disappearing from the sight of Dusk.

Actually Agra is not worried about Dusk for fear of being hurt by the citizens of the city or even tricked by them just that, it is not good to let a noble lady go alone without the escort of a single person.

After Agra came out of the forbidden area, Dusk was then taken by Bazel into the underground city along with Nindia and the other people.

"Miss, this is where we live" cried Bazel as the appearance of the underground city began to be seen.

"Beautiful," murmured Dusk slowly but it could still be heard by Bazel and the others.

They only smiled happily when they heard the comments about their residence. This underground city looks very beautiful and magnificent, the building is classic style with neatly carved rocks and wood.

There are also some beautiful decorations such as sculptures and paintings around the building and also a road full of beautiful gravel.

In addition, the lighting of the city below uses a golden yellow magic lamp so that it adds an artistic impression in it.

"This city has been around for hundreds of years, and we have lived here more than seven descendants" Bazel explained as they walked through the beautiful building.

"Because we live by using mana to die as power, this place is perfect for us to live in" Bazel continued excitedly.

"This place is like a fairy tale that is often read by mama,"

"How did you build this place?"

"We built this place with magic, other than because most of us specialize in architecture so it's easy for us to make it beautiful" Bazel replied proudly.

Dusk had also known a little information about them from Agra on the way to the inner area.

"That's what it looks like,"

"It's just that most of the miners come from them. Of course it's very profitable because they can take a diamond for me without fear of being broken,"

After being satisfied around the city, Bazel finally brought Dusk into his study.

"Prepare tea and also snacks for Miss," Bazel exclaimed to his subordinates who were guarding the entrance of the room at the time.

"Okay, sir," the guard replied before disappearing from behind the door.

"Please sit Miss," continued Bazel when they were already in the room.

"Nindia, you also sit down" Bazel said to Nindia when he saw her still faithfully behind Dusk.

"No need grandfather, I'm currently on duty,"

"Grandfather?"

"It looks like Mr. Agra forgot to tell you this" Bazel exclaimed with a stiff countenance.

"Nindia is my granddaughter, she was also a friend of Mr. Agra for a long time and therefore also, Mr. Agra appointed her as his management secretary," bazel continued a little in panic with an indifferent attitude of Dusk towards his explanation.

"Ah, so she meant Agra last night,"

"Alright, I don't really care either,"

"Mr Bazel must know what I've come here for, right?" ask Dusk when the previous guard has returned with a tray containing tea and also some snacks.

"Then do you like doing that too?"

"As Miss knows, we are indeed dark fairies but that doesn't mean we agree with all crimes,"

"That's great" said Dusk, throwing a black box at Bazel.

"Is this Miss?" bazel asked curiously when he saw the black box.

"Open up, you'll find out, then,"

"Geez!" nindia shouted in shock as her grandfather had already opened the box.

"How did you get this?"

To be honest, Bazel did not know about it at all because Agra had not told him before.

"I found it,"

"No way,"

"Why not? What's wrong with that thing?"

"This lady is so innocent, she doesn't even know that the thing she's carrying is a great calamity to the world of magic," the inner Nindia who also gets a nod of the head from Bazel.

Bazel and Nindia who saw the relaxed attitude of Dusk could only hold their breath.

"What a kind young Miss," Bazel muttered briefly as he looked at Dusk wagging her hands left and right.

"Miss, I'll tell you everything I know" Bazel exclaimed with a warm smile on his face.

"Good,"

"Miss, this pearl is made from the Nara Clan. They are a cursed clan that always fights nature to gain power," explained Bazel with a serious look but still smiling kindly at Dusk.

"As Agra told you before,"

"They are humans who are so hated by black elves like us. Other than because they and we both use mana to die as power, they are abusing that power to get over the despair of ordinary humans."

" ... "

"They extracted ordinary humans to take where the despair that came out of the mad experiment. They also make themselves as Lichs who will live eternally with dark glowing bodies."

" ... "

"Because of that, the other humans equate us, the black fairies as they call the black magicians simply because we both use death as a source of strength," clearly Bazel with his grim facial expression.

"We hate them because for no apparent reason we are also shunned and hated because of what they do" he continued with teeth clinging to each other.

"Yes that's very clear, they'll be afraid of what they believed before,"

"Can this thing make someone crazy?" tanya Dusk was curious, especially after the incident against Hyena and also the Tigers Beetle at that time.

"Of course, besides that they can control anyone who has eaten this thing and the strength obtained will be stronger later" replied Bazel confident with his knowledge.

"However, Miss, there is something strange about this pearl. They look imperfect and as a result of eating them, not only will they go crazy, they will also lose full consciousness and then die. Although basically they will also die," continued Bazel explained the state of the black pearl.

"So you mean, this thing is in the development stage like that?"

"Yes Miss, and the risk of consuming it is very severe."

"Alright I understand," cried Dusk coldly then took back the black box.

"I'll give one to you to study" continued Dusk, handing one of the black pearls over to Bazel.

"Other than that what can this pearl do?" tanya Dusk thought that if they could become Lichs, it was likely that they could also make other monsters.

"In addition to Lich, they can also make Golems with these pearls, Miss," Bazel replied as he stuffed the pearls into his magic bag.

"Gollem? Isn't that just a mythical creature?"

"no Miss, back in the days of the great slaughter, they used the Golem as the main Dusk to defeat the enemy" Bazel replied while recalling the incident at the time the Nara Clan was slaughtered.

"It seems, at that time some of them managed to escape and now it seems like they have started moving to show themselves back." bazel muttered softly but could still be heard by Dusk.

"So those Clans were previously talked about by Dian," Inner Dusk recalled Dian's story of the black magician being slaughtered to the ground.

"Sadly, it turns out Dian's hope has not been granted,"

"Golem, black magic, and magic... I seem to have gotten into the fairy tale that my mom reads every night,"

"It's exhausting, huh. This is what else the storm from earlier," grumbled at Dusk annoyed then hit - hit the empty air around him.

"Can you just shut up?" snapping the Annoyed Dusk which even made Bazel and Nindia shocked.

"What's wrong Miss? Is there a problem?" tanya Nindia was confused by the sudden scream of Dusk.

"Huh, no,"

"What if we get this over with quickly,"

Dusk then took out the agreement documents from behind his storage magic pocket given by Lily before coming here.

"Is this Miss?" bazel asked curiously when he saw the black document.

"Treaty."

"A pact?"

"Of course, you don't think about staying for free, do you?" tanya Cold twilight was still with her regretful expression.

"Of course, to be able to live in my territory, besides working hard you also have to pay the rent instead,"

Bazel then took the document and opened it. Initially Bazel looks nervous but slowly he starts to look relaxed because the agreement made by Dusk is very profitable for him.

"I thought that if this Miss was cunning by making use of her innocent face, it turned out that she was indeed completely innocent," Bazel inner self after knowing the terms of the agreement.

"Of course Miss, I'd totally agree with this" exclaimed Bazel then took the pen from his pocket.

"I will keep the entire contents of this agreement" Bazel continued after signing the document.

"That's very good, and with this I get a new ally,"

Of course the agreement only mentions if the black fairies should always help Dusk under any circumstances.

"We will be ready to help Miss, because Miss has allowed us to stay here without fear of expulsion,"
