Moonlight After Sunset's
The End of Betrayal

"Related sometimes comes too late but choice is still an option."

"For a long time," cried Dusk as he saw Morreti standing upright in front of him.

"How are you, Miss?"

"As you can see."

Morreti politely looked at Dusk who was walking over to him. Now the two of them were in the basement of the Moonlight Guild. Morreti already knew the meaning of her lady's call from the info Eza gave.

"Tell me the details of the infomation." exclaimed Dusk when he was sitting on one of the chairs in the room.

"None right."

Morreti then begins to tell her everything, starting from the day her miss disappeared from the Academic exam to the bird's news of the mastermind behind the intrusion.

One week ago when the entire podium became violent due to the loss of Dusk and injustice that happened to him. All parties continue to question about the academic security system.

They felt pity and anger at the party who deliberately wanted to hurt the innocent young lady. They began to compare between the rumors spreading about him and the truth behind the rumors.

"Unfortunately, she has been abandoned by the empress and now she lives as an outcast woman of her family." exclaimed one of the spectators while glancing towards where Dusk and his subordinates disappeared.

"True, what a pesky fate." continued the other in a concerned voice.

They whispered to each other not to arouse Duke Ari's emotions. Even though the entire kingdom already knew how Duke Ari treated Dusk but saying it directly was the same as looking to die.

"How can the academy's security be this bad." grumbled one of the nobles as he descended the podium stairs to head towards

fieldwork.

"It could have happened when my son and daughter had just entered the academy. What an unforgivable disregard." continued another before choosing to leave the podium with his subordinates.

"I'll think twice about getting my son into this place." another noble who was then answered by his friends with a nod of his head.

"Sorry Mr and Mrs, we will try to follow up on this immediately. We won't stay silent if this is directly related to student safety and..."

"We don't need your words, all we need now is proof of that action" exclaimed Marques Winter, cutting the professor.

"My daughter's friend was poisoned and now her condition is dying, and we don't even know where she is" Marques said, pointing to where Dusk and his subordinates had disappeared.

"That's right, the law of the criminals right now." cried the spectators who had been holding back their anxiety ever since.

The professor looked nervous as he looked around for help. When silent for a while he managed to make eye contact with Professor Edward. Disna prof Edward nodded his head and went away from the podium.

"We've got the suspect, now he's in the interrogation so stump until it's over."

The professor explained in detail what they had just encountered in one of the student rooms involved in this event. He promised to punish the perpetrator severely.

"Alright, we can't wait for the final decision." continued Marques Winter before leaving for Muna who was in Cavil's arms.

"I don't think it's that easy to punish the evil ones." said the Servant Count who had noticed the commotion. He deliberately led public opinion to think further about this issue.

"Think, who could have put intruders into academia if not one of those with a position in this kingdom" he continued after a brief silence.

"That's right, if I think further it's very difficult for a servant to do that. Surely the mastermind behind this event is not an ordinary person." said the tall man who was in the middle of the audience.

"It is possible that the administration of poison is their alibi to cover this up." exclaimed the young woman with a body gesture that shook with fear.

Both the audience and the nobles who heard the speech felt suspicious of Consort Jina who was the mother of Dira whose incident was very hostile to the empress.

The nobleman paused his sentence while reminiscing about the incident he had just seen.

"The assassin was not only after Dusk but also Luna and her friend. In retrospect, Luna's daughter's group contained many high-class noble children such as Miss Muna and Aruna's royal twin daughters."

The Baron-ranked nobleman began to speculate so as to make the crowd grow crazier immersed in each other's thoughts.

"The mastermind behind this event is not ordinary people. They deliberately targeted the princess of high nobility to destabilize our kingdom."

"I had heard that Miss Ari said that princess Dira was also involved in this matter."

"Isn't this more like a conspiracy?"

"You're right, this is a conspiracy."

After hearing various stories about the incident. Aslan and Sean immediately head to Academics to help Morreti and Hana rally public opinion. Dennis and Hazel are still in charge of gathering information around the capital's bars and plazas.

Arriving at the academic, Aslan and Sean see Sarah and Dira and his group being forcibly herded by the palace knights out of the academic.

It was quite an uproar at the time, where the King did not dispute what the principal said at all. It also makes the students and parents of the students choose to immediately quit the academic for self-recovery.

Professors coming out of the artificial forest bring them unconscious hitmen.

A few days later Morreti found out that the private servant of the Twilight, Amel, had been caught. Amel is said to have fled into the forest but was found by the palace knights.

Rumors about Dira and Sarah who had tried to kill Dusk and Luna were successfully passed on to Amel. Amel is now in prison to await his execution.

Morreti recounted all the information he knew from the beginning of the incident to the present.

"In the end they decided to hand over all these cases to a single Amel."

"Unfortunately Miss, we only managed to cut off their tails. Why is there no further investigation into the case?"

"That's impossible, Consort Jina and her supporting nobles are too cunning to reveal their heads."

"But this lady with the evidence we gathered is most likely Dira and her subordinates will be dragged along as well."

"No need, we're just gonna waste time on that."

"But Miss...."

"Don't talk about it anymore. Do you have any idea why Amel agreed to the charges?"

"I managed to get word from Dennis that Amel's family was taken hostage by Count Difani and I'm sure that's why he finally decided to agree."

"Count Difani?"

"Yes Miss."

"Hmm, Difani. Kira Difani's. Ah, yes I remember now."

"Count Difani is one of Consort Jina's subordinates and one of her daughters is Sarah's good friend."

"What do you mean Kira?"

"Right Miss, Kira Difani is the fourth daughter of Count Difani. He has a twin brother named Lira Difani but unfortunately Lira has been killed for no apparent reason." explained Morreti before a pause for a while.

"In addition, Lira Difani is also rumored to have occupied the position as the successor to the Count in the future" Morreti explained.

"Count of the future?"

"Miss Lira is a little different from her brother, even though they are twins but the strength of the two is very much different."

"Why is that?"

"When I became a mercenary knight, I heard a rumor saying that the original descendants of Count Difani had a rose symbol on his chest but strangely the symbol was only owned by one of their twin daughters."

Dusk just silently heard the words from Morreti who looked very excited.

"The boy was rumored to be the rightful heir at the residence of Count Difani until he was found drowned in the river. Some say he was killed and others say that his twin brother did it out of jealousy."

"Hahaha, that's funny."

"Yes Miss?"

"You know, Kira is Sarah's best friend while Count Difani is the main concubine's son. The goal is clearly not."

Dusk seemed happy with this new information he got.

"With this everything becomes clear why Sarah who used to hate Dira now wants to work with him in addition to their same purpose, Sarah was also framed by Dira."

Dusk now understood why at that time Amel looked close to Dira.

"Miss, I almost forgot to pass on information about Sarah. After the events of the day, he was expelled from the academy for having found a bottle of poison in his room."

" ... "

"Sarah seems to have not accepted but the evidence has shown that he is guilty."

"Will Sarah also be put to death?"

"Unfortunately not Miss, as I said just now if Sarah breaks all her allegations even so because the evidence is valid then Sarah will only be expelled from the academic without any meaningful punishment."

"It's a pity, then what happens after?"

"I heard that Duke helped Sarah to get into the Lumine academy in the neighboring country that is Adeline's toughest academic rival."

"Yes, I don't think Duke wants his daughter to have any trouble either."

"In addition to that Miss, I also get word from Askan if in three more days Amel will be executed immediately."

"Alright, good job."

"Thank you Miss."

"One more thing, you need to get more information about where Amel's family is being held."

"None right."

"Then get out."

Morreti immediately came out of the basement after he gave a farewell to Dusk.

After a long conversation with Morreti, Dusk finally discovered some new facts. It will not waste this opportunity for free.

"Kira Difani's. I never expected that you would enter into one of the nobles that I should be wary of," cried out Dusk sharply as he entered his room.

"Dian, go and bring me a cup of green tea and some delicious snacks."

"None right."

Dian immediately came out of the room leaving Dusk alone inside.

"It turns out that what he said was true" said Dusk, recalling the letter he received before heading to the basement.

"Miss, there's a letter from Klein," said Dian slowly as she gave him a letter that he kept in his pocket.

"Tumben once," cried Dusk as he opened the letter. It says that Amel's entire family was being held by Count Difani and the address where they were.

"It looks like the main concubine is devising a devious plan,"

One thing that made Dusk happy was that under one of his bottoms had managed to infiltrate into one of the fifth prince's best warriors.

"Dian, tell Rima to visit her lover more often."

"None right."

After getting confirmation Dusk immediately burned the letter down before going to meet Morreti in the basement.

"Miss, this is your tea."

Dian entered the room along with a cup of green tea and a snack.

"Dian, give me the paper and the pen."

"None right."

Soon Dusk writes a letter to be sent to Muna after what she has just heard from Hana if Muna Winter tries to find her.

"Send this letter to Muna and remember not to let anyone know."

Dian only nodded her head in understanding before disappearing from the Twilight room.

An hour later Dian came back to see Dusk. Looked at the face of Dian who was upset.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Miss, they said that Amel's betrayal of your treatment was too biased towards me and you just kept ignoring it."

"What kind of empty egg is that?"

"All right, Miss, they're so selfless to say such bad things."

"Huh, stop. We don't have to think about it. Now just get the horse-drawn carriage ready because we'll meet someone soon."

Dian looks upset with the indifference of Dusk, he then rushes out of the building to bring a horse carriage to his missus.

On the way Dusk accidentally asks Eza to meet him on the west side of the capital before going to his destination.

"Miss, where are we going?" dian asked curiously after her miss did not say anything when leaving the Moonlight Guild.

"Winter's Residence," exclaimed Dusk as he gently stroked Kun's body.

"Why?"

Dian looked shocked by what he had just heard.

"Why does Miss want to see Miss Muna in the middle of the night like this."

"I have important business with him."

Dian looks confused by the way her lady thinks.

On the other hand Muna who got the letter from Dusk looked very panicked. He was very confused why suddenly came a letter to his room with strange written information.

"What is this letter? Why is it in my room?"

The confused Muna decided to read the letter.

"Is this true of Dusk?"

Muna again looked restless, it had been a week he found out about his best friend but suddenly came a mysterious letter saying that the sender was Dusk.

"I have to investigate this letter" Muna said while wearing a black robe and then exited her room through the window.

At the crossroads, Dusk saw Eza who was ready with his knight suit.

"Come in" cried Dusk as he glanced at one of the seats in the horse-drawn carriage. Eza then walked in and sat down in the chair.

Eza then looked long at Dusk while taking out a newspaper he bought from the common people.

"According to orders," Eza calmed down while giving the paper to Dusk.

"Good job."

Dusk casually opened the newspaper and read it. Lots of news about academic failure in protecting one of his students.

"Have you told Hazel to spread the rumor?"

"It's Miss."

"Good job."

Dusk seemed satisfied with the answer his knights gave. Dusk deliberately told Dennis to spread rumors about himself who was often injured due to the harsh treatment of his stepfamily and how bad the upper class nobles who often insulted Dusk after his mother died.

The horse-drawn carriage then drove at high speed after the entry of Eza. They are now in the Marques Winter area.

"Start from here we will walk," cried Dusk as he got down from the carriage while looking at the large forest in front of him.

"Well Miss," they replied simultaneously.

From far away Dusk can see a bright light that illuminates the path to the forest.

"From now on, we will enter a new chapter of the fight," exclaimed Dusk as he strode towards the direction of the light
