EP. 65. Different Does Not Mean Not Suitable

That afternoon, Shien was silent daydreaming while propped up with his chin with one hand, his gaze staring blankly, even then the people who went in and out of the cafeteria that became one of the facilities in Snow Candy were invisible.

“Udah long time no hiking.” He muttered as he remembered the last time he climbed the mountain. And if not wrong, it was climbing Mount Burangrang with Orange one year ago.

While Shien just silently watched his brother and lover chat. The sky looks comfortable responding to Shanna, maybe because from earlier Shanna discussed her hobby that is not much different from Heaven.

“Banget. But it is very difficult to find the time if you want to go hiking with friends.” Sky replied enthusiastically while expressing his complaint.

“What if I'm the same?” Shanna chirped, making Sky's forehead and Shien wrinkled instantly. Whatdoes thatmean?

“Ehh, I mean. What if the three of us went to Bromo? I also like to climb, even though it makes a decile, but comparable experience obtained.” Shanna quickly corrected her words.

“Where, Shi? You agree, don't you, if we go hiking three? It must be really exciting there later.” Shanna's question did not make Shien answer her directly. He was just speechless with a gaze that was difficult to translate. Could it be that Shanna forgot? Climbing was an impossible thing Shien did in his current state.

Shien who heard that only smiled without interest, then gulped down some drinking water to encourage the paste chewing inside his mouth which he suddenly found difficult to swallow.

“Padahan, really cool if we can climb with a girlfriend, must be romantic that way. Too bad, Shi, you can't follow his hobby Sky now.” Ahh, her feelings might indeed be this sensitive. Shien was offended by Shanna's remark on this one.

Shien who saw that smiled wryly, he understood now. Shanna had only made a truce before. Shanna hasn't given up. The girl knew Shien's weakness, so she knew where to attack. Her heart.

Shanna wanted to make Shien himself give up on Sky by attacking her heart, her feelings.

Shien was aghast as soon as he heard Fina shout the name of the Sky, until he unconsciously let his head wander in search of the whereabouts of the man.

For a moment they fell silent to enjoy the sound of jazz music whose rhythm was able to calm the heart and mind of anyone who heard it in the midst of the hot weather that afternoon.

Shien shook his head weakly while letting out his thin smile. “Until it heals, maybe. . .” His voice sounded doubtful.

“Why possible? I’m sure that Supergirl is gonna be fine soon.” Fina cheers. The corner of Shien's lips was attracted to form a thin smile as he muttered the word amen in his heart.

“But, heart donors are not easy to get kayaking in the movies.” Shien complained that he had waited almost two years since his condition had worsened.

Shien could only leave that to God. As Nathan once said, Shien is sure God will give him a new heart if the time is right.

God keeps the future a secret, God is testing it to be prejudiced, to plan well, to try his best, and to be grateful and patient.

Everything takes time and process. Patience is a tree with bitter roots, but very sweet fruit. And Shien was sure that what he wanted and according to God would come in time.

Fina exhaled heavily while looking at Shien concernedly. In that case, Fina as a friend could help nothing but pray for and encourage him. “I hope, there will be accidents out there, keep the victim mening. . .”

“Heii. . .” Shien quickly threw the straw towards Fina to stop her raving remark while glaring in dislike. Shien knew Fina was praying for him, but that didn't mean praying bad things for others.

“Hmm.” Shien kept it short. One hand played a straw in the glass lazily.

“What day do you want this to be?” Fina asked which made Shien immediately frown in surprise. What was the timing on Fina's phone so troubled that she forgot today was what day?

“Friday.” Shien replied quickly, without having to think anymore.

Fina who was playing the handle of the clear cup gave a faint snort. “It's Friday. I mean, that's what's this date, Shi?”

Shien blinked, then he observed Fina with a twitch on his forehead.

“Ohh.” Shien's eyes rounded as his memory captured the memory of today's national big day. “Date two May, it's National Education Day. Why, Fin?” He asked with full astonishment.

Fina who had previously put on a smile all the while again snorted, her face folded in annoyance because Shien did not understand the code. In fact, since yesterday he gave the code to his friend that today he will be birthday. Instead of remembering, given the code alone is insensitive.

“Ahh, suck.” Decak Fina's. “Yes, lupain aja.”

One corner of Shien's lips lifted slightly, barely noticeable. It was very desirable that he laughed seeing Fina's bent face.

Fina was flabbergasted in disbelief, just once the girl congratulated her with enthusiasm, Fina promised to walk from the apartment to her office. But it was the most impossible thing Shien would do. Last year was worse. Fina remembered very well Shien wishing her a happy birthday like this with her expressionless face. “Ohh, your birthday? Congratulations.”

Really sucks. But, not entirely annoying because Shien in fact always gave gifts according to what he wanted, even without Fina having to mention it. You could say, Shien is indeed understanding as a friend.

“Ya already, where is the gift.” Fina pitched both her hands towards the girl to collect her reward.

“Gak nyiapin.” Shien replied casually. Fina put on a sullen face and said that Shien really had the heart, but Shien only responded with a flick of the shoulder no matter what.

“Then, let's take a walk today as a gift. Mumpung in the office again not much work.” Bring Fina expectantly.

“Ceiling is waiting for me at the office, sorry.” Shien continued without feeling guilty or regretful, as if Fina's position had indeed shifted to number two under Heaven.

“Tomorrow weekend, how about a walk where that is? Long time no refreshing together, Shi.” Fina asked, hoping Shien could agree. Indeed ever since the girl was in a relationship with Sky, Fina became sidelined and rarely had the hangout time together with Shien as before. And Fina had no other friends in Indonesia to walk with other than Shien. Damn, he was lonely.

“But. . .” Shien looked at Fina who was exhaling that resigned breath for a moment. “The sky has taken me to Dufan.”

“Udahlah, there go.” Get rid of Fina with her face.

“You can come if you want.” Bargain Shien, made Fina's eyeballs instantly sparkle.

“But be a watchman bag.” Shien sounded full of throttles.

“SHIEN.” Shouted Fina who saw Shien instantly stirred just like that from before her.
