Astral Pet Store – Chapter 107
THAT'S THIS GUY AGAIN!! the creature thought to itself while its dog face turned desperate.
“Arf! roars! Ahrooooo!!”
Zhang Baoxing was stunned by the unusual reaction of his pet. He wondered if Pyro Canine was too excited for the training session.
Men's. It even gets smarter. I should come here more often!
“Sit!” Zhang Baoxing tried to comfort the restless animal. “This will be your turn soon.”
The dog responded by puffing its fur.
Zhang Baoxing looked embarrassed by the scene staged by his pet.
It was Su Ping who helped “soothe” the dog by looking at him.
*Meanner*
The Pyro dog shuddered uncontrollably as it recalled how impossible it was to escape from this human demon. He then placed his head on the floor and covered his eyes with his two front paws.
“Lanjut.” Su Ping looked at the queue again.
“Nih nih!” It was the girl with pointed jaws from the previous day; she excitedly called out to her pet. “Master Su, please take care of this little man.”
Just like Pyro Canine, his pet valiantly came out to protect his master, only to almost lose it completely.
When his master and Su Ping “friendly” told him not to run away, he joined the trembling Pyro Canine with the same desperate gaze.
The same thing is repeated until the last customer waiting is responded to. It seems that every pet clearly remembers the ordeal he endured.
As the customers politely said goodbye to Su Ping and left the store, their pets tried to chase after them, only to be sent back or dragged back by Su Ping. Their last hope had been mercilessly extinguished when the owner happily told them to obey.
When she was left alone, Su Ping dragged the pets to the back of the shop where the pet room was located and placed them in an empty grooming cage. Or inside the treatment room, when the cage is filled.
Next, he organized different pets into categories and summoned several puppets to start training them.
The last job is to call all the customers who have to take their pets that day. Since Su Ping needed to go to the academy later, he asked those people to go there after school ended.
By the time he was ready to leave, it was only 9 a.m. No need to rush.
He soon arrived at Phoenix Peak Academy with his bicycle. He glanced at the majestic statue of the Purple-tailed Divine Phoenix at the entrance before heading inside, but it was stopped by the gatekeeper. Su Ping really looked like any other student, though, those who were able to study there usually did not use a bicycle to travel. In addition, the first class of the day had already begun. Su Ping was late for it. “Please ID your student,” the guard asked politely. Since he had nothing like it, Su Ping could only summon Dong Mingsong to help him enter.
Excited, the vice principal quickly called the guard to explain what was going on. Meanwhile, the guard looked at the student-like young man before him and could not believe what he had just heard.
“I—I'm really sorry for that, Mr. Su. Please login!”
Su Ping did not say anything because the guard was just doing his job. He felt bad that what happened back then might have tarnished this man's resume.
While still on his bike, he entered the academy and followed a shady path for a while, before he realized that this place was bigger than he thought. He can't find his way.
It was a rather beautiful woman who walked towards him with a pair of eye-catching white legs. As he looked up, he saw her wearing a khaki short skirt and a well-ironed black suit that showed the professional demeanor of an office lady. His red-framed glasses were also a nice touch that added to his professor's aura.
But there's a problem. He doesn't look friendly.
This was why Su Ping did not ask her how to move in this section, as she was afraid that the woman was not someone she could talk to carelessly.
The woman immediately contacted him because they were using the same path. Then he gave her a big wrinkle.
“Which class are you from? Class is in progress now, why are you still hanging around outside? ” Cheng Shuanglin inspected Su Ping's casual attire and knitted her eyebrows harder.
“Oh, well.. I just arrived today. May I know the way to the vice principal's office?”
“A new student? In this case, you must go to the Director in charge of the class in which you are assigned. I happen to be a teacher responsible for the first years. Which room are you headed to?”
Su Ping scratched his head. “I'm a new teacher, Mom. Mr. Dong Mingsong asked me to meet him first.”
“Teacher?” Just like the guards, Cheng Shuanglin did not seem to believe that someone like Su Ping could teach in the academy.
But he also found no trace of lies.
I need to talk to the vice principal later; we have to keep the standard of work above the line, he thought. With unqualified teachers, our students will also be negatively affected.
“Ahem, I'll be there too, follow me.” Cheng Shuanglin went forward without looking back.
Delighted, Su Ping quickly followed after him. But then he realized that they were too slow this way.
“Eh, Mom? Should I give you a ride? ”
Cheng Shuanglin glanced at his cheap bicycle. “No, thank you.”
There were rich students in the academy who often offered him a new limousine ride, while he never bothered to see it. Of course he wouldn't sit on those sad things.
Su Ping did not want to pull his bike on foot, so he followed Cheng Shuanglin by driving it randomly. He started zigzagging along the narrow path and occasionally circled around Cheng Shuanglin so he didn't need to slow down.
Cheng Shuanglin's lips twitched as she looked at Su Ping's ridiculous manner. What was the vice principal thinking, letting this man become an academy teacher ??
They took about ten minutes to reach the building that Su Ping recognized, where Dong Mingsong usually lived. Last time, he was taken there directly from the stadium, so he did not know how to reach that place from the main gate.
“Alright!” He smiled at Cheng Shuanglin and left. “Thank you for your help, miss. Noodles!”
Cheng Shuanglin frowned again and continued walking without caring about it.
