Astral Pet Store – Chapter 202

As usual, the pieces of bone were miraculously rearranged on their own, until the Little Skeleton returned in its entirety. The Little Skeleton could always do this even if its bones were ground into fine powder, as long as its core was unharmed; such a skill must be possessed by all Life Corpse-type Astral Pets if they were to fight efficiently.

The skeleton looked at Su Ping, then examined his bone blade tucked safely between his ribs, and somewhat showed the look of “lega”.

Together with his pet, Su Ping managed to leave the black forest unscathed. At this point, he no longer needed to worry about the ghost as he could not stay away from his habitat for some reason. He had confirmed this many times inside the dragon-scale ground.

As he had expected, the monster's deadly aura immediately came, and stopped at the edge of the forest. The ghost howled at him angrily as his concentrated grudge almost materialized. Although there is not much more to do.

Su Ping heaved a sigh of relief and ordered his pet to retreat, while returning to their “mode hide” to avoid pulling something else by accident.

He found a place that seemed to be quite safe and hid behind the Purple Python scale formation again, before he took out a scroll to inspect the inside.

She saw Tang Ruyan staring at the tree with widened eyes, probably because she never expected him to go this far.

But in hindsight, Tang Ruyan believed that she would do the same if she ended up on top. Or he would destroy it if he could not take it, to prevent it from falling into the hands of others. After all, giving precious treasures to other settlers was akin to helping a potential enemy.

He wondered if he should sabotage the tree to disturb Su Ping, but decided not to because it would definitely get him killed sooner. He wanted to stay alive to gamble to escape.

Heh. You really shouldn't have put this thing so close to me, my friend. Now I have something to bargain for. Before he could finish that thought, Su Ping face appeared inside the scroll space and almost covered the entire sky above him.

“Tree of the tree. If I find a single leaf missing, I'll kill you, humiliate your body, and make sure the whole world sees it so your family can never lift their heads again.

Su Ping disappeared after leaving behind those cold words.

Tang Ruyan looked at the sky in shock.

But-but how-is he threatening ME first?? Couldn't he find out that I didn't kill this tree just because I didn't like it??

Tang Ruyan was so angry that she almost changed her mind to continue her reckless plan. However, what Su Ping said had finally worked out regarding his greatest weakness; he definitely did not want to see his family suffer because of his death.

“Sial, shit, shit, shit, shit!!” He clenched his teeth so hard that he almost broke them.

Su Ping had just rejected him the opportunity to negotiate with him. No matter what kind of plan he made before, he had to forget about it and endure the great depression alone.

His sanity won in the end, so he managed to hold on for the time being.

While cursing Su Ping name, he walked around in circles to help himself vent the anger accumulated within him, even though it was only a little.

Outside, Su Ping put away the scroll and prepared to continue on. He believed that, as long as the woman did not completely give up her life, the tree would remain safe.

Following their previous plan, he asked the Dark Dragon Hound to lurk forward so that they could find the first treasure he originally planned to obtain.

He finally reached his target two hours later

- a ragged old temple that seems to be collapsing by itself at any moment. From his training sessions, he knew that the treasure had been placed right inside this temple and was protected by two top nine rank humanoid monsters that looked half human and half snake. They were formidable enemies because their human parts allowed them to use some extremely dangerous battle techniques.

With the help of the Dark Dragon Hound, he quickly ascertained the positions of all the enemies hidden within the building. Two “men-ular” are right inside, along with some random spiders and insects that could use poison attacks.

Su Ping thought long and hard to come up with a plan.

Direct confrontation is not wise, although he is confident he can win in the end. The battle will come at a great cost. In addition, doing so would allow other explorers to pick up the loot for free. As portrayed by stories and movies, such distractions always appear at the right time.

He decided to proceed with a trick attack so that he could steal the treasure while the monsters did not look.

After telling the Dark Dragon Hound to activate its barrier, Su Ping ordered the Little Skeleton to attack the temple first. With the Little Skeleton skill, it should be able to keep one of the snake-men busy. Su Ping was well aware of the layout inside the temple. By listening to the sounds of the battle, he could tell where the monster was.

Little Skeleton immediately exited the entrance with the two snake-men chasing. Both of them were over ten meters long; while their upper bodies were like humans, except for scaly skin and writhing strands of hair, each of which was a huge living snake.

Upon reaching the temple door, the snake-men stopped and retreated, as they knew they could not keep up with the speed of the Little Skeleton outside.

Seeing this, Su Ping ordered the Little Skeletons to return and mock the enemies by dancing under their noses. At the same time, Inferno Dragon and Dark Dragon Hound came out of hiding and attacked the snake-man together.

Su Ping asked the Purple Python to dig an underground tunnel so that he could enter the temple that way.

The inside of the temple is a dirty grave of dead monsters, rotten bones, and dirt. As soon as the Purple Python emerged from the polluted land, Su Ping immediately saw a luxurious-looking throne on the other side of the room, where the treasure chest was placed.

This told him that no one had visited this place yet.

He'll go there soon. The key in the crate seemed to be broken due to age, but it was still protected by an energy matrix that could only be broken in the right way. Still, the matrix is worn out as well.

Su Ping only told the Purple Python to unlock it with its tail.

The lid of the chest opened, revealing a fist-sized gem filled with energy.

Su Ping immediately grabbed the jewel in one hand and prepared to leave.

The snake-man suddenly howled furiously outside the building. At the same time, Su Ping felt an earthquake as if something was approaching quickly.
