Astral Pet Store – Chapter 242
One by one, Su Ping tried to put the other pets to evaluate.
Unsurprisingly, the Hell Dragon had the highest net price of 150,000 energy points, most of which had been donated by the Beast King level bloodline. While the Dark Dragon Hound and Purple Python were not so much, even though they could fight quite well.
So basically, pet ranked ninth “average-” can sell 70 to 80 thousand energy points, which is acceptable. Most customers who need to buy a rank nine pet can afford to pay such a price well.
Su Ping really wanted to raise the price, which would not affect his business at all. Too bad he can't.
Scoundrel. Maybe I can sell some of the pets I found in the Mysterious Realm.They are not very valuable, but at least they can help me get more customers. I cannot just rely on the students from the academy. They don't have much money anyway.
He sees Joanna yawns bored and suddenly gets an idea.

Su Ping did not explain. He called out the system menu, found the cheapest cultivation plains and paid the price, while choosing Joanna as his partner.
An unknown force immediately came and pulled the two of them into an empty alien world without being seen anything. Su Ping chose this place so that he could test something.
“What's—” Joanna checks for sudden environmental changes in awe. He wondered if Su Ping had used the same trick to freely sneak around the divine enclosure.
By going there, Su Ping intends to give some “staff training” before Joanna starts helping her business for real. And maybe show him who's boss in the meantime to get rid of some of his funny ideas.
He took out a few beast-capturing rings from his inventory and separated them to free up what was inside.
The first one to enter their sight was the enormous Fire Blood Dragon that nearly annihilated Su Ping's team in the Mysterious Realm. It did not appear as hard as before after being trapped inside the ring for several days. Although this does not mean it is friendly.
“I will spend the last bit of your little presence, man !!” the creature that was spoken in human language while locking its sharp gaze on Su Ping.
Immediately after regaining his freedom, the full might of the peak rank nine monster quickly returned. “I'll hand it to you,” Su Ping told Joanna while glancing at some more pets emerging from the broken ring. “As a worker in the store, you will help me deal with wild pets.”
In fact, this is not written in “job description” Joanna. Otherwise, he would be free to mass-produce Beast Kings for sale in stores by capturing them of different shapes.
Joanna was a little more able to figure out her plan, although she found it hard to turn down the job because she was still too shocked by the fact that Su Ping could take her to a different realm beyond her will. The ferocious beasts roaring around them were the perfect targets for it. “SUNNYIAN!” He shouted as a golden aura expanded from his position, which swept past the ferocious beasts and instantly crippled them. “Who are you?” The Fire Blood Dragon spoke to him, head to the floor terrified.
For a moment, he even thought of returning to the dark prison rather than facing this monstrous woman, which made his soul tremble.
Similarly, the Qilin Lion was also speechless and extinguished the flames around his body, before staring carefully at Joanna.
“You don't deserve to know my name, dirty animals! Prepare to be slaughtered!” Joanna threatened them as she gathered her golden energy again, creating a holy spear in her hand. He caused a small storm to blow over the empty realm even when the air was thin.
Su Ping jumped onto his dangerous screen. “Nonono, don't kill them. You should have tamed them. ”
Joanna threw a hateful look, before looking back at the beast. “Anything. Tamed, or dead! You heard??”.
Following in his footsteps, a few more pets that had just come out of the ring bowed. None of them were brave enough to see Joanna.
As the latter, the Fire Blood Dragon wavered for a moment and also gave up. It left some deep claw marks on the floor due to reluctance.
Goody. Su Ping nodded in satisfaction. He did not need to do anything to scare them into submission.
He approached the Fire Blood Dragon and asked the question, “Why are you guarding that Astral Spirit Fruit Tree? Why are there two of you?”
The dragon looked at Joanna uncertainly, before answering Su Ping, “The soul of an ancient dragon king forces our kind to guard his treasure. For thousands of years, my ancestors could not leave that prison but were otherwise free to breed and grow up. That was .. about a century ago. I found the ancient power slowly weakening, so I managed to find a hole in the cave where I could evade his control. There, I devoted day and night trying to give an ultimatum appraisal and become the Beast King, so I could finally be free from restraint. ”
“Once... So, you have to pass some sort of assessment before reaching the Beast King level?”
The dragon gave him a strange look. “Indeed. The Beast King was no longer an ordinary being born from nature. Instead, he had enough power to oppose that trait. This was why the world itself would use the power of condemnation to test and prevent one from becoming the Beast King of the Beast.”
Joanna added up close, “What you just heard is ‘divine judgment. And yes, an ordinary beast needs to survive to break through its mortal limits, or die while trying. Turning into a Beast King was the same as rejecting the role that this world had given him at birth. Of course the world will try to prevent it.”
For a moment, Su Ping noticed a hint of sympathy in Joanna's eyes.
“So so..”
Since the five pets he had taken back in the beast-capturing ring had become obedient, their work was basically done.
Su Ping went back to the store and chose another cheap cultivation plane with a temperate climate as “ temporary ranch” for new pets. Then return to the role of his bored shopkeeper as he sits in his chair while waiting for customers, only to get nothing after a few hours have passed.

She felt excited upon hearing the footsteps approaching, but immediately deflated when she saw it was her sister.
Su Lingyue entered the shop door rather carefully and sighed in relief upon seeing her brother inside. “Did this all happen overnight?? You said you want new decorations, not to rebuild everything!” “What do you want?” Su Ping said without looking up. “It's time to eat, stupid.” Su Lingyue frowned at her attitude, but was immediately attracted by Joanna's divine look. “Oh? Who'sisthis? Dia.... amazing.”
Su Ping decided to do some introductions as the two would spend some time together. “A new employee I just found. Call him Joana. And Joana? This is my mischievous sister, Su Lingyue.” An officer?? Su Lingyue was wide-eyed. Why would such a beautiful woman work for this disgusting bachelor? And what does he mean by naughty??
Of course Su Lingyue did not believe what Su Ping said. In his view, someone so attractive has many ways to earn more money than working there. And this might mean he's not there for payment, but something else.
