Astral Pet Store – Chapter 596
The area was in the deepest part of a valley.
Snow-covered mountains stretched out toward the horizon. The marks left behind from the previous battle were seen everywhere. Snow covered some of the corpses, leaving some remains exposed.
The smell of blood would forever linger in the area.
Su Ping realized something was amiss once they arrived.
Everything seemed normal but there was a hidden crack in the void that could suck a careless soul.
“Brother Su, take a good look here. We fight a lot in this area and the space won't last long. Think of this place as an invisible swamp that can suck you up at any time,” Li Yuanfeng warned Su Ping.
Su Ping nodded. “Rawa” is a suitable analogy for that area. It was an empty swamp.
He could not see any traps but he could fall in one of them if he was careless. He would end up in a space and dimension completely different from reality and a space storm in that dimension could even injure those in the Void State.
One has to be extra careful when trying to teleport.
Turbulence often occurs where space has been disrupted.
“It was the road to Corridor.”
Li Yuanfeng pointed in a direction.
A vortex spun; it was a hole that could suck everything up.
Just by looking at the vortex it had put pressure on Su Ping.
Behind the vortex was a Corridor where ferocious beasts gathered. No one could say for sure what they would face once they passed through the vortex.
“Be careful,” Ye Wuxiu said to Li Yuanfeng and Su Ping
Li Yuanfeng nodded. He had stopped grinning mischievously as usual. He called out to the Void State beast king. The bloodline of battle pets had several dragon legacies mixed in. The pet joined Li Yuanfeng as soon as it came out.
Li Yuanfeng quickly turned into a powerful dragon-man.
He grew dragon scales and his fingers turned into claws; he even had a tail. The merger made him feel like a volcano that could erupt at any moment.
His vigilance was a warning to Su Ping. He summoned the Little Skeleton and the Dark Dragon Hound as well.
The Dark Dragon Hound immediately added six layers of legendary armor to Su Ping, making him seem like a moving fortress.
The others here were stunned by the Dark Dragon Hound. They didn't know exactly what the pet was, but the survival skills were amazing. “Brother Su, you have a good partner,” exclaimed Li Yuanfeng.
The Little Skeleton had left a deep impression on them; the dragon dog had turned out to be even stranger.
Su Ping told the Dark Dragon Hound to add the armor to Li Yuanfeng as well. He could not allow anything to happen to Li Yuanfeng, the kind man who was willing to risk his life to travel. They are fully armed. Li Yuanfeng was ready to step into the vortex.
“Cautious.”
“See you again!”
The others say goodbye. Li Yuanfeng waved to them and went to the vortex with Su Ping.
Su Ping was right behind Li Yuanfeng; he told the Little Skeleton and Dark Dragon Hound to stay close.
Passing through the vortex reminded him of his journey to the cultivation location. He felt some distortions in space. He opened his eyes, only to be surprised countless pairs of bloody and fierce eyes fell on him.
A group of ferocious beasts lurked on the other side of the vortex.
Their arrival has awakened them all.
Li Yuanfeng was not too surprised. “I knew the bastard would be here.”
“Ingin to finish it quickly?” Su Ping asked.
“Ya, I am ready.” Li Yuanfeng nodded.
Su Ping launched an attack without a backup. He told the Little Skeleton to do its best to deal with the savage beast.
It might sound hard to believe, but they were all king beasts. They were only at Ocean State but the total number reached dozens!
Many beast kings would shock the entire world if they were found above ground!
All basic cities would tremble; it meant a total disaster for any base city!
Whooshing sound!
The Small Skeleton pulled out the bone blades immediately after getting the command. Surrounded in darkness, it ran amidst the beast king.
Roars!
Li Yuanfeng did not believe that the Little Skeleton had been destroyed. At the end of the day, the Little Skeleton dealt with dozens of ferocious beasts that had been inside the Inner Cave their entire lives; they were experienced after going through many battles. No matter how good the skeleton was, it could not finish all of the beast kings.
When Li Yuanfeng thought he had to clear the beast king himself, suddenly, the shattered Little Skeleton slipped out of the ice and then regrouped. After being regenerated, he flashed to where the beast king was and slashed his head right between his eyes!
One beast king has been killed!
Then the Little Skeleton went to attack the other beast king. The beast king panicked and put up many shields and armor; there was another beast king helping out. The movements of the Little Skeleton were obstructed and slowed down. However, the Small Skeleton was able to offset its effects with its Dark Field.
In addition to damaging creatures related to that special field, it could undo the effects of some energy, ice or fire attacks for example.
Nothing could stop the Little Skeleton. It made a second murder!
Two consecutive assassinations had made the Little Skeleton daring.
Occasionally, the Little Skeleton would fall victim and fall into pieces, but it only took a second to regroup. No one could finally kill the Little Skeleton. Li Yuanfeng was stunned speechless.
Although he knew that the pets of the undead family had regeneration skills, it was the first time he had seen a skeleton come back to life after becoming a pile of dust.
Talk about a strong vitality!
Su Ping stood near the vortex instead of joining the fight. He summoned the Hell Dragon to help the Little Skeleton come out and finish the fight as soon as possible.
He chose to let the Dark Dragon Hound stay with him.
He was troubled by the fact that the Dark Dragon Hound had developed nothing but defensive skills, but it turned out that it could be a good bodyguard.
“Small Skull Attack has no weaknesses, but I think there is a potential problem when facing containment skills.” Su Ping watched the Little Skeleton fight the beast kings bravely. The pet's terrifying attack was capable of injuring the beast king and even the dragon beast king would be injured by the bone blade that conquered all of it.
Still, the Small Skeleton could be slowed down by defensive skills.
The Little Skeleton was able to regenerate as long as there was energy.
But the Little Skeleton's weakness was that it could be held back after regeneration. That way, even though the Little Skull was still alive, it was no longer able to move freely.
Su Ping realized that he had to train his Little Skeleton in that regard.
He had to make sure that the Little Skeleton did not have any weak points.
“Brother Su, your fighting pet is amazing!” Li Yuanfeng looked at the Little Skeleton and the Hell Dragon, which were even more terrifying than the beast king. He produced a forced smile and wondered where he got his battle pet. None of them were outside the Sea State but they killed those Ocean State beast kings as if they were cutting vegetables. That's just amazing!
Instead of enjoying the show, Li Yuanfeng ran over and joined the fight.
Roars!
Li Yuanfeng was like a walking dragon as he joined his dragon. He reached the king of ferocious beasts and tore his head off with his claws.
The tail is sharp too. His tail pierced through the skull of the beast while he grabbed his head to make the killing easier.
Su Ping wanted to fight personally as well, having been driven by Li Yuanfeng's primitive way of fighting. But, he had to be wary of any potential hidden dangers.
Roars! Roars!
The fight lasted for a few minutes. The roar and sound gradually subsided. The Little Skeleton returned to where Su Ping stood, as did Li Yuanfeng. He was covered in blood and gasping. “Brother Su, let's go. We don't have time to harvest material from those bastards.”
Su Ping nodded. He didn't care about those ingredients from the start.
He could scavenge the king of ferocious beasts at the cultivation location if he wanted to.
The ingredients will only be used for weapons, or as part of a special meal. But Su Ping was fed up with that special meal.
He doesn't know how to make a gun.
So, harvesting the beast king was meaningless to him.
He also didn't think there was anyone on the Blue Planet who could use the body parts of the beast king to make weapons. The mighty weapons of the legendary battle pet warriors were usually found in the Mysterious Realm or within the spatial gaps, instead of being forced by some.
Whooshing sound!
Su Ping brought the bloodied Hell Dragon back to his contract room and jumped onto the Black Dragon Dog and left with Li Yuanfeng.
The Dark Dragon Hound exhaled a stream of air that enveloped the two people. It was used to hide their odors and energy, so no creature could sense it.
Su Ping and Li Yuanfeng went to the depths of the Corridor.
It was a wide tunnel with some crooked spots and a sense of destruction. Su Ping was confident he would be sucked into chaos if he touched those strange places; even the Little Skeleton would die for good. Fortunately, as it was quite reasonable, Su Ping was able to avoid those dangerous places and so was Li Yuanfeng who had a deep understanding of spatial rules and mechanisms since he was in the Void State.
The corridor was like a maze with many crossroads.
Su Ping and Li Yuanfeng were traveling carefully and they remained as silent as possible. Even so, they would meet some beasts that were resting along the way.
They would always finish off the ferocious beasts quickly and go to the next place.
